I like the 2 complimentary drinks per day as well as $25 towards food on their gourmet menu. Oh yeah & free river tour! THE FOOD WAS SCRUMPTIOUS!!!

Location was perfect. River walk is right outside your door! The complimentary items for Marriott members were amazing. We got 2 free drinks per day, $25 meal credit per day, and free tickets to local attractions like the Alamo and Tower of America.

I liked the layout of the hotel and it conveniently being located across from the convention center.
Trevor one of the staff members was extremely rude to me and my spouse asking if we needed to change our booking from a 1 ves king to a two bed room because he saw there was just two of us. In today's time there are dame sex couples and we should not be treated differently then any other guest. If you checked my ID and I confirmed my booking I know how many beds I need for my stay. I felt it to be extremely inconsiderate and would have raised cane if it hadn't been such an exhausting day of travel! Bad customer service! Then I found blood on the pillows in our room gross!

its a great location, the rooms are small but decent, the elevator is very fast. The view is nice, but you have to pay extra for it. Intertnet is good, but again you have to pay extra for it.
They charge for everything, for a good view, for good Internet, for room service. Their valet service is very expensive, park in the building next door. The 4 restaurants mentioned are a lie, there is only 1 and it was always closed. No one minds bringing help with luggage. The table was broken, the bathroom door was too heavy to slide. They trick you into paying for the passport card which forces you to eat there every day, but as I mentioned there was no restaurant open, only the bar menu. Speaking of the bar, I tried to use the passport for the free drinks that they "give" you, but since I was alone they didn't even want to serve me (because people only move with tips) and there were other tables with more people. They never brought me the beer I ordered while new tables arrived and were served. Ironically, in the other Marriott hotel crossing the street they have better service, open restaurants, they are more gentle even if you are not staying there.

Clean
They nickel and dime you after the a outrageous nightly rate with ONLY valet parking @ $55.00 plus tax and outrageously high priced food costs with NO premium restaurants on premises.

The view was worth the price. We upgraded to a water view with a balcony.
The location was extremely convenient.
It needs some upgrades as it seemed a little outdated.
The elevators were hard to get the hang of.
We saw several confused people trying to figure them out.
The bathroom door was a sliding barn door. An actual door would have been better since there was no exhaust fan installed.

I loved the in-house restaurant, great tasting food. All around cleanliness of the grounds and the staff is great. We had the pleasure of the executive lounge, which was wonderful. The lounge staff was great and super friendly.
I didn’t like the loudness of the surrounding area, which you can’t help since the hotel is literally sitting along the Riverwalk. The rooms are a little outdated. Restroom door didn’t close all the way; and the toilet; shower glass door; and restroom door proximity were way too close together, it was super tight. Our hotel room door was a little crooked & had a small gap on top, not sure what that was about.

Friendly staff and nice perks like free room upgrades and room credits.
We had ALOT of luggage and didn't want the bell hop person to help us because we didn't have cash on hand to tip him at the time, so because he could not helping us and get a tip, we couldn't use the luggage tow :(

Our assigned room was still occupied (do not disturb hanger). So the bellman hurried down 8 stories and got us another room. When we entered it had only one bed. The bellman hurried down 8 stories. We were upgraded without charge to a 28th story room with a free concierge room with complimentary beverages, evening snack and desserts and breakfast. The whole experience was FIRST RATE!!!!!!
Nothing at all. Elevators were very quick, staff was very efficient, room was exceptionally clean.

Not updated at all. The air conditioner was very loud in the room. The coffee machine in the room had old creamer that smelled horrible when plugged in. The room was very small. The pool was disappointing and not even filled.

The hotel was beautiful, newly renovated, fantastic view, and conformable bed. The location was perfect- conveniently located next to the mall, the riverwalk, the convention center, and lots of restaurants and site seeing. Our room had a beautiful balcony that overlooked the riverwalk and was absolutely stunning. The room was a very nice size, offering an insanely comfortable king size bed, small sofa with table for eating or working, and a mini fridge. The restaurant and cafe downstairs offered delicious options with convenient hours. The staff were super friendly and assisted promptly with any questions we had.
The noise level was insane. We were on the 18th floor and even with the AC on and blinds and patio doors shut, the traffic and street noise was insanely loud in the room making it very difficult to sleep. Additionally, the walls are paper thin, so we were constantly being woken up by the room full of loud girls next to us getting back late at night, when we had to be up early in the morning. For the price, I was amazed at all the extra things you had to pay for - wifi and coffee being 2 of those- $15/day for wifi and then no in-room coffee? Really? We did choose to do the destination package, which was a good deal and included wifi and a $25 food credit which we used to buy coffee each morning, but you have to pay it for every day you are booked there regardless of if you use it, so we had to pay $25 for the first night, even though we got in a 4 am and everything was closed by that point. The quality of the free wifi was absolutely terrible, so if you are working or doing anything more than checking email, you'll want to plan to get the upgraded wifi, which is an additional cost.
