Room was nicely finished.
Hot tub out of order. Toilet would not flush properly. Beds didn’t appear to be the listed queen size. Beds were so squishy that when sleeping my side of the bed collapsed dropping me to the floor between the bed and nightstand. I have scratches, bruises, and a sore tailbone because of that bed. The clock radio kept crackling with static even when turned off. Pool was cold and a bit dirty. Neighborhood is a bit rough and getting to anything involves twisty paths.

Not far from petroglyphs and Rio Grande parks, good food in area.
They did NOT clean the room before we got there. Maybe they made the beds but that’s pretty much it that I could tell. There was trash, dirt, random things stuck to the walls… the toilet leaked and they only gave us 3 of anything for a 4 person room. Real kicker was—room door didn’t always fully latch, which I didn’t realize until AFTER someone had gone in and stolen my bag with my wallet and other very important items from off of the bed while we went for breakfast. Motel staff were not especially helpful with reviewing security footage, saying they didn’t see anyone else going into the room, which unless they looked at the wrong time or something is tbh total BS. SO, unfortunately I can’t say I recommend this motel. There were also suspicious people everywhere and we heard gunshots one night.

Front desk was very cordial, no issues at check-in. Room was bigger than anticipated, very clean and well kept. Bed was quite comfortable and clean. Not a noisy location overnight. Several national chain restaurants within walking distance. In all, extremely pleased.
Literally nothing to complain about. Excellent job.

Easy access to I 40.
Not very clean, dark room, curtain on pool door didn't cover the door so light from pool area came through. Not a great room for myself and my dog.

The size of the rooms were good.
Not enough lights in the rear area of the building.

Thé front desk staff who answered the call was polite.
I booked this based on the reviews, thinking it would be good for a one night stay. I was running late & even called the hotel to let them know I was still coming, I drove into the parking lot at around half pas midnight to see one of the ground floor hotel rooms open with a bunch of teenagers and young adolescents with beers having a party and spilling out - it was that full. There was also a room on the floor directly above it with people coming out to join the party below. it concerned me that a lot of the people were loitering about in the parking lot, so just to be sure I drove around the back and noticed a few other people roaming around as well. This really felt unsafe, and as a solo female traveler, I wasn’t going to risk myself or my rented vehicle when clearly the hotel does not have control of the use of its rooms. I get it’s the 4th of July, but this is a hotel specifically positioned for interstate travelers intent on getting on with their itinerary. IT IS NOT SAFE, do not book here. I was aware that I would likely not get a refund but I did try to request a refund given the circumstances. I immediately contacted the hotel as I was driving away and was told it had to be done the next day, I also called Booking.com who said they’d do what they can but the refund was up to the property. I received an email today saying the property was unresponsive.

The fact that it was right off the highway.
The fact that homeless people were staying right over the fence from my room. As well as the people who stood outside my door smoking.
