Breakfasts were well prepared and enjoyable. A super little place, very homely and comfortable.
More choice for breakfast would be good especially for those that don't always require a cooked breakfast. The toast was different! Didn't seem like regular toast. We would have liked to have spent a little more time in the bar during our stay but limited access both due to it not being open and when it is open often very full.

The breakfast and dinner were delicious and generous.
A second floor room instead of the third. More comfortable shared spaces.

Location was great. Rooms were small but comfortable. Nice beds. Quiet. Breakfast was delicious. Pub was adorable when accessible.
No public space to gather with my children and their spouses. No lobby and the pub is closed on weekends. Could not get into any coffee shops or bars in town because they were packed for the rainy weekend. The dining area used for breakfast is closed at other times. Besides, the chairs are so uncomfortable, you wouldn’t want to sit any longer than you had to. They feel like there’s no batting, only springs on the seat.
Fortunately, we had stadium chairs in our cars and my son’s room was large enough for us to sit and chat.

What a find! This well appointed Inn was more than we expected. Beautifully decorated with great rooms, it made our visit to Woodstock even more enjoyable. It is located along the main road to Woodstock center and close to all that the village has to offer. We had the opportunity to visit the tavern for a short time, but enjoyed the music and were immediately accepted by the locals. Heather was extremely helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommend a stay at The Village Inn of Woodstock

Yummy breakfast in a quaint inn in a historic town.
4.7
The breakfast was fantastic! Charming
The bathroom could benefit from additional shelves. For us the bed was a bit soft. We were fine walking up the stairs to the third floor but if you have mobility issues, or big heavy suitcases, there is no elevator.

Location is great. Breakfast was fantastic & different each day. Great garden to sit & relax by water feature.

We loved everything about the inn. The breakfasts were delicious. We ended up staying for dinner on the patio in the evenings and it was fantastic fun. There was live music every night with truly gifted musicians and the vibe was perfect!
Nothing at all. It was just outstanding.

My husband and I stayed here for our minimoon and we absolutely loved it! The property was historic and beautiful, breakfast was absolutely delicious every day, the tavern had amazing drinks, and location is unbeatable. The absolute best part about the Village Inn is the wonderful staff and especially the host, Heather. We stopped by the Tavern every night for a drink before dinner, and we ended up making some wonderful friends; all of whom were local friends of Heather and her husband. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Food was excellent! Breakfast was creative and delicious. Service was great.
Our room was extremely small. That’s ok but it could be much more comfortable with a few changes: get rid of the floor lamp and add a clothes tree for coats and sleepwear. Put the mirror in the room at a realistic height so that one person can use it while another is in the bathroom. It is much too high. A larger mirror would be even better. The door lock is very “sticky” and should be lubricated. Big change: replace the bathroom door with a sliding door. That would make the bathroom much more comfortable. The bed was great! We were disappointed that the bar was closed on the weekend.

The service, the fantastic breakfast, the staff, the owner, the furniture, the decorations

Convenient location. Heather is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing - quiche one day and delicious waffles another. The decor of the Inn in almost over the top Victorian - likely to be revamped in the near future according to Heather. Great pillows and nice sheets and towels.
Our room and bathroom were pretty small. Nicely appointed and good AC which is key, but just not a lot of room to move around. Not entirely surprising in an old building. The antique bed was a bit noisy.

owner was warm and welcoming. She paid attention to all the little things.

Breakfasts were excellent and Heather’s skills as chef well displayed! The Inn hosted a party for our group in the tavern which included not only great food, charming & vivacious staff but even a caricaturist! Fun was had by all!
Need a few pods of decaf coffee available daily in the upstairs kitchenette.

Each breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented! Heather is a wonderful host! We loved how cool the room was in this heatwave. We weren't sure about that since the house was so old. All the modern amenities with historic charm!

Sometimes you check in and find that the pictures and the reality are not the same. Not so for the Village Inn. Lovely, charming, comfortable, welcoming. We were delighted. Breakfast was excellent. The patio and front porch were perfect for a quiet respite, a glass of wine. Deborah and her staff were exceptional! Friendly, accommodating, welcoming. A great choice!
