Big rooms, clean conveniant location
They Couldnt locate my reservation. Had to book again at 2 am.originally I reserved a room with double bed. They gave me a room with a sofa bed which was horrible to sleep on. The next morning the receptionist was mean. He Didnt want to help what so ever with booking. I asked him to make new reservation for double bed room. He wanted me to go online even though im at the counter infront of him. I didnt want to go through the hassle of booking online again and them not being able to locate it and I end up chssimg my money again. I had to go to a different hotel next door because of his behaivior.

The location was great! The front Desk booked us at the 12th floor overlooking WDC. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved it!
The elevator from the 4th floor has a long wait due to mechanical issues.

The Hotel is clean.
Close to the center.
First and foremost, I was taken aback to discover that Wi-Fi access was not provided for free. In this modern age, where connectivity is crucial, it is almost expected for hotels to offer complimentary Wi-Fi to their guests. The fact that your establishment charges for such a basic amenity is not only inconvenient but also gives the impression that your hotel is not keeping up with the times.
Moreover, the layout of your hotel was highly inconvenient. Having to change elevators three times from the parking area to my room was both time-consuming and impractical. This complex arrangement not only added unnecessary hassle to my stay but also hindered accessibility for individuals with mobility issues.
To add to my disappointment, when I checked out, I was assured by the front desk staff that everything was in order and that there were no additional actions required from my end. Therefore, it was quite surprising to receive an email two days later stating that I would be charged $50 for not returning a parking card. Neither during the check-in process nor during the check-out was I informed about the requirement to return the parking card. This lack of clear communication has led to an unfair and unexpected charge.
Lastly, I must emphasize that the overall value for the price I paid was underwhelming. The cost of my stay did not align with the quality of service provided. Considering the inconveniences I encountered, the limited amenities, and the additional unexpected charges, I believe that the cost of my stay was exorbitant and did not match the value offered.

Hotel is situated close to metro station Rosslyn (silver line from Dulles Airport). The room was clean, the bed was quite comfortable. There were coffe machine and refrigerator in the room - in this case it was better than I expected due to guest's comments. On the other hand, nothing special to confirm declared 4 stars.
Unfortunately, there were 3 problems there.
The first one was expected - WiFi was available for fee... it's really funny that 4-stars hotel wants extra money for service that is standard everywhere. The second problem was heating - system switch-on every 15-20 minutes during the night with sound of working turbine (I can compare with other hotel in Washington DC when heating works well without any noise).
But the worst unexpected problem was with payment. First, hotel does not accept GooglePay (unbelievable! 4-stars hotel does not have this standard technology... small shop across street has it! :-) ). Hotel does not accept cash too. The only one way to pay is plastic credit card (better than golden sand, but...). But it was not all. Instead of 168 USD promised by Booking.com my bill was 170 USD (well, 2 USD are not reason to cry)... overall, hotel blocked on my credit card value ~190 USD (in CZK) TWICE, i.e. almost 400 USD! When I have claimed by Booking message this problem to hotel admin, I did not get reply for 3 days... yesterday I got following message "You were only charged once for $170.23, anything else showing as pending are authorizations only and will go away or drop off within 5-7 business days from the date you checked out."
Really great! I'm happy to know that these money probably will be available next week. At the moment $170.23 are withdrawn from my card, but 2x 4738 CZK (~ $380) are still blocked.
Taken together, when you plan to stay in La Meridien Arlington be ready for financial surprises.
Probably that is the reason why they do not accept casn nor GooglePay.

I like the room and staff. They were pleasant and helpful. I liked the view from the hotel room. The restaurants happy hour was a nice feature.
The room was small and the bathroom even smaller in our corner king. There was no fan or ventilator in the bathroom. The rooms do not feature microwaves.
The elevators. 3 sets of elevators from parking garage to lobby to room. Hotel parking is not included in hotel charges but is an additional cost as you enter and exit the garage each time.

The location is perfect, metro 5 min by walk. The staff in the reception is really helpful and frendly. The room is clean and the bed is confortable.
No parking possibility link to hotel so you need to calculate the parking price separatelly. Few parking lot really close to the hotel .

The location was right next door to my event so it was super convenient.
the air conditioner was too loud and the vent directly hit the bed, which made for a difficult night’s sleep :(

Food was adequate and staff extremely attentive both at front desk and dining venues. Felt the establishment was a bit understaffed - common theme post pandemic.
Security at entrance. Often there was no one about. Anyone could walk in and take a ride down to parking or up to 4th floor check in.

We choose the hotel for the location.
The rooms don’t have coffee setup or a fridge. The hotel was old. There wasn’t security on the elevators to the rooms. They wanted to charge us $50 a day for wifi, and they put a hold on my credit card for 150% of the stay without notice.
