The breakfast buffet was above my expectations! The staff was wonderful, the facility was exceptionally clean. The location was perfect for attending the graduation at Davis.

Pretty much everything. Perfect friendly. The best out of all the hotels on our college tour trip. Hotel is every clean and super nice. Staff is exceptional. The town (Davis, CA) is so so nice. Nice that everywhere is 5-10 minute drive. Very bike friendly. Love the hotel has bikes for rent.
Nothing to do with the hotel. First day after we arrived, we went over to order a bacon burger from Carl's Jr next door for my 9 year old son. He got food poisoning 30 minutes later. He couldn't sleep the first night and woke up throwing up every 2 hours the entire night, not eating, not drinking, and running a fever. Good thing spouse is in the medical field. So, nothing she couldn't handle. He got better the 2nd night and total fine on the 3rd day. On day 3 morning after we checked out, I threw up along our way home. When we got home, my daughter threw up a few times with diarrhea. Out of 4 people on our trip, 3 got whatever stomach bug it was. The saving grace is it happened near the end of our trip. So, the trip wasn't interrupted and we got home safely. We just got home and while I am doing better, my daughter is still trying to stay hydrated. So, don't eat at Carl's Jr next door. Didn't want to go there and complain. The staff at Carl's Jr is pretty friendly. Sometimes, things happen. IHOP might be fine. We didn't try.

This hotel was one of the cheapest of our Californian trip yet it was one of the most modern, cleanest and offered the biggest room! Really good value for money.
We enjoyed the pool, we loved the big airy room, very comfortable bed! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was just what we needed to start the day off and very uncomplicated - which we liked.
We had a room on the ground floor, near the breakfast area, which I would avoid in the future as it became quite noisy early in the morning.
The jacuzzi water looked a little unclear - not so clean so we did not try it.

It was everything a hotel should be and more. Having just returned from a cross country road trip, we wish we had hotels as nice as this one. We will seek out Holiday Inn Expresses on our next trip.

Located in nice area. Quiet hotel. Recently updated. We borrowed two bicycles and rode into Davis, enjoyed our stay very much. Great breakfast options

The breakfast was great. Cleaning staff was friendly. The room was nice looking.
The beds were uncomfortable. We booked a king room but we were given two full beds instead. I called the front desk about the room and was told that I'd have to deal with it as nothing else was available, and she was quite rude about it. There was VERY LITTLE water pressure in the shower. The low flow toilet was problematic.

Found The way the room was designed so ergonomically, made ease of use great for electrical outlets and luggage and easy with a wheelchair. Very comfortable bed and room was super warm during a chilly December stay!
4.4
comfortable bed
very spacious room with fridge and microwave
plastic cutlery and paper plates at breakfast although food and selection was good
could hear trains hooting from early morning but I think this is the same in most of the Davis hotels if any where near centre

There were couple of spiders of the size of fly on the walls of bedroom and bathroom.

Pricey - but you get what you pay for...

I like the breakfast.
The location is convenient.
Although a paper is stuck on the wall reminding the passengers to be quiet in the deep night, the passengers near my room are extremely loud.
