Location - proximity to where I needed to be that night
The suite for four adults that I reserved was given away. Rather than let me know at check-in, the person at the counter checked me into a room with only one bed for two adults. I was thankful that he made check-out quick and easy. We wound up just driving home. The parking was sub standard, and I believe my friend and I were soft-mugged by someone posing as a guard for the lot. He was awkward and intimidating.

Good location downtown, close to restaurants and music venues.
Cigarette smell

Location very convenient. Price was good. Breakfast was good.
The people hanging right outside the hotel entrance. The constant noise from the adjoining room until 4:48am when I finally knocked on the door. If I had known it was an adjoining room, I would not have booked it.

Convenience to downtown Oakland.
Compact. Desk & chair were next to bed with no wiggle room.
Parking lot for my car is risky to park as I notice broken glass on the ground.

Friendly staff at the front desk, and the bedroom had the basics we needed for our stay including a working AC/heating unit. Breakfast was fresh and filling with warm foods like eggs and sausage along with coffee and tea. I especially liked the bathroom toiletries were Dove products rather than generic brands.
Room was definitely snug, but not uncomfortable.

Nice street view, and very clean. The staff was very friendly.
Little noisy outside on the street.

Hotel staff, VERY FRIENDLY, I was alone & a little worried about my safety, once I arrived EARLIER than I was suppose to, they ✔️ me in anyways ... Definitely coming back, breakfast was ON POINT... I WAS VERY COMFORTABLE, did I mention I'm from the Bay area 🙌🏽
No microwave in room or fridge

Breakfast was good enough, the location was good accessible to other businesses establishment

Breakfast choices were odd and the room is not inviting. The hotel is cheap, clean, and the staff is courteous. Amenities are in better repair than under the previous management.
I've stayed at this hotel when I've traveled to the Bay Area for a decade. It's in better repair than under the previous owners, but this time I got put into one a group of rooms I didn't know existed. This group have windows only on very narrow air shaft which is roofed over. How a hotel can renovate rooms such as this and comply with building codes is beyond me. Anyway, I was sick the first 2 days I stayed, but when I felt better I went to the desk and requested an room with outside exposure. The clerk was courteous, friendly, and efficient. He found me a new room right away and I moved a few minutes later. I think the hotel should turn the air shaft rooms into storage and consider a further renovation since there is a long corridor which has numerous windows to the outside and which could be relocated so all the rooms have outside windows.
The breakfast room, while clean, is in a cellar and not inviting. The low price makes up for this, but it's still not good. Overall, there's a mismatch between the S. Asian owners and the property's mixed clientele in terms of style and amenities. Some adjustment would be good.

Absolutely nothing
This experience was absolutely horrible, they charged us for parking but when we returned from our outing there was no parking and he tells us oh we don't own the parking lot. There was absolutely no where to park so we ended driving an hour and half back home at midnight. I will never use this company again and will not recommend. They charged us for the stay when we didn't even stay there. I am very upset.

The parking situation was a little uncomfortable, I saw a lot of broken glass in the parking lot.

Hotel is in close proximity to the Bart Rail which allows travel through outvthe Whole bay area.
There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel.
3.4
Location close to BART transport.
The bed was a foam rubber, too soft. The elevator is probably the slowest in North America, and makes lot of unnecessary noise. The person working the breakfast room needs to focus more of that job and less on her phone!

Not much
The location seemed unsafe; people were just hanging out everywhere in various places. Upon arrival I noted dangerous looking people roaming around the area and standing next to the entrance smoking cigarettes. I had to sweep & clean my parking spot before parking because it was broken glass every where in the parking lot. The parking spaces were very small & tight; I had trouble getting in and out without hitting the car parked next to me. Strangers were sitting in their car in the parking lot. There was no security or security cameras for the Ramada property or the parking lot I was charged $20 to park. During the night I clearly heard yelling and arguing in the street that prevented me from sleeping well because I was worried about my vehicle. I noticed a slope in the bathroom floor in room 601. The elevator was tiny like the room. Everything was very small. No ice machine noted, unable to find after walking the entire floor. Expensive and not worth the cost in total. I would most likely not return due to the surroundings and cost.
