Not worth it

It was clean, the outside grounds were nice

The breakfast was absolutely horrible, the biscuits were not warm and raw no selection at all. Not very friendly when walking in to check in.

July stay In King Room

Breakfast was fine. Bed was comfy. TV had large screen and many stations, including some Christian ones. Loved the glass shower door, instead of a curtain. Enjoyed the outdoor tables and chairs outside at front of hotel. Booked my stay with Booking.com for 4 nights. Turned out that I could only stay for 2 nights. Hotel only charged my credit card for the two nights and not for 4. Thank you very much!

TV volume as unstable. It became very loud with no warning at times. Difficult to control it. Guide button did not work on tv remote.

Very Nice

The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious with several hot options. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There were lots of outlets and plenty of lighting.

Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order. We were looking forward to this amenity and were very disappointed. Had I known ahead of time I would not have stayed here. Also there were not many tv channels and at least a fourth of them were sports related.

Good for a short stay

It was conviently located for my conference, the room was nice and clean.

The front desk person at check in wasn't super friendly. Also, when asked where to get good food the response was, no where, this is Iowa, not a great first impression. Also, need better signage for parking, was hard to locate with the other hotels in front of the location.

Disappointing

Location.

The pool area reeked of dead chlorine. The exercise room had 2 machines not working properly. The bathroom sink drain had so much hair in it that it wouldn't drain properly. The shower curtain liner is missing. The biscuits were moldy.

We enjoyed the location and beds were very comfortable.

The breakfast was very good. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was just what we wanted for driving to the fairgrounds and other places we went.

The desk chair in our room was scuffed up and shabby. We would have liked more towels stocked in the bathroom. The stair steps were not clean, I noticed wood chips from fair goers.

Accommodating staff, comfortable, could be cleaner

The pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the usual for a continental breakfast. The staff upgraded our room to a suite, because the only other double room they had was directly next to the steps that lead down to the lobby, which was loud. An annoying group was partying outside, but once staff moved us, we couldn’t hear any partying and our view included a pretty fountain and walking trail.

The breakfast area was a gross, sticky mess. There was syrup all over the floor. Another guest and I cleaned it up a little bit because there was no staff attending to the mess or refilling the food. Our room had a straw wrapper left from a previous guest, I pulled out the desk chair to sit down and it was covered in crumbs. I had to go to the front desk both days for towels. The key cards were constantly needing to be re-magnetized over and over. It happened to us, and I heard several other groups go to the front desk and say their cards weren’t working.

I wouldn't even let my dog stay here!

We walked as fast as we could to get out of this hotel, we opted to not eat breakfast for fear of becoming sick; maily in part due to how we found our room. We only slept the night due to the no cancellation policy. One of the worst hotels ever. We should have been paid to stay there!! A complete waste of money.

The room smelt horrible, like pets & smoke and another smell we couldn't put our finger on. Literally right as we opened the door the smell hit us!! We noticed right away stains on the carpet, broken tiles in the bathroom, popcorn kernals on the floor, cracks on the ceiling and lights that did not work. The pillows (4) were the size of toss pillows that had obviously been over used...thank goodness my husband made me bring my own pillow. As far as blankets; they were nonexsistant unless you consider a see through sheet a blanket. The shower obviously hadn't been cleaned, as there was a used bar of soap on the shower door. Inside the shower there was Pink Mold which is far worse than black mold, matter of fact there was mold inside the toilet bowl as well. We did sleep only due to pure exhaustion, it was a bed in a room with sounds of people running up & down the halls, people puking a few rooms over and others having loud conversations & party like sounds.

Shredded shear curtains, worn hole on the pillow case. Outdated furnishings, stained carpet. The bathroom door would not close properly. The bottom would catch the floor midway, and you would have to pull hard to shut it. We didn't even get the trash emptied, nor clean towels. The rooms were not freshed up daily. We had to get our own towels. $641.oo was really pricey for what we got. I was embarrassed because our grandson was with us. The grounds are in desperate need of TLC.

Very friendly check-in. We were passing through town on our way to Arkansaw to go mountain biking. The hotel was accommodating on allowing us to bring bikes into our room.

Great place to stay!

For starters, we liked the friendly greeting after a long day of travel. Our room was welcoming, fresh, clean, and so comfortable. Especially the beds and pillows.

I eat low carb and missed not having scrambled eggs and sausage/bacon as there is at most hotels. The boiled eggs were rubbery like a bouncy ball. Did not eat
