Not much
There were mice running across the roof outside our rooms bathroom window. The staircases, while beautiful, require extreme caution due to the steepness and many rooms are up several stairs. This is basically an old home converted into multiple rooms. Very tight and the pictures and not a true depiction of what you will get. Super overpriced! I would not recommend.

Nothing.
I paid Booking.com in full for this reservation on July 2nd. I made this reservation in June to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary at a restaurant in Marblehead which I booked one month ago. Booking.com confirmed my reservation on July 2nd. The reservation that I paid is for a specific room including breakfast for $307.
I notified the hotel 2 hours before our arrival of our expected arrival time.
On our arrival, the hotel informed me that they had not received the reservation from Booking.com and that they had no rooms available! Also, that they had contacted Booking.com but received no reply.
I immediately called Booking.com in USA but nobody answered my calls.
I wrote to Booking.com and eventually Juan replied that he had found a “similar hotel” IN A DIFFERENT TOWN for $1615 (ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN DOLLARS), but I would have to confirm and pay for the room and Booking.com would PERHAPS give me a refund for the additional costs!
This situation and the proposed solution is outrageous.
Booking.com has RUINED OUR 20TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION. No room available and on top the restaurant was a disaster because we arrived so late. All because of Booking.com. We have found a small room for which we would like you to pay. Breakfast not included, so we will need to find breakfast somewhere tomorrow. Please confirm your email address where I can send the invoices for refund.
It has been so far Impossible to talk to Booking.com customer service.
Please give me an immediate refund for the reservation and your proposal for compensation.
Please call me on +33 682554534.
Your sincerely
Kevin Smith

Beautiful hotel, small and quaint. The outdoor space and pool are very nice. Great bar area and the staff made us feel very welcome. Very nice shower and bathroom area. We had the early breakfast as we had to leave to catch a plane and the staff was very accommodating of our early departure. Staff recommendations for dinner were great too.

Sumptuously decorated 18th c Marblehead inn, very tastefully done — I grew up in this town, and the old houses can seem stark. Instead, the owners here have carefully furnished the inn with touches from the 19th and 20th centuries too.
It can be drafty at the entrance, so bundle up in winter — it’s part of understanding the 1700s in America.

Absolutely stunning location and facilities. Clean and comfortable and worth every penny you spend.

The cozy feeling the whole Inn gives you walking in the door.
The breakfast was good with lots of options, but some of the items on the menu did not have a lot of taste

There was nothing not to like! everything was lovely. The cleanliness seemed spotless. The beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows. The bathroom was roomy and of course clean. It had a very nice shower, and luckily for me they provided robes. Mary at the front desk was very helpful and found us a place to go to watch the Eagles game and eat dinner. The breakfast was delicious every morning. Don't hesitate just book your room and relax and enjoy!
The only thing I would have wished for was an elevator. everything was perfect!

Breakfast was good but I think it’s time to put the buffet back.
Room was a little tight. We had to look up instructions for how to adjust the air conditioning on You Tube.

absolutely beautiful and one of a kind stay
the only thing is that we could sometimes hear some repairs outside but honestly it didn’t even matter.

Great location, the room was very cozy, the administration of the inn was incredibly helpful and accommodating to our special requests, the breakfast was very good.

the inn had a great location, was charming, had a great breakfast and perfect parking in the back.
noisy ac/heating unit near the bed.

Staff were nice but presented an edge that could be unwelcoming to some guests. Also, their method for reserving a morning breakfast presented as a way of deterring visitors from participating in a promised part of the stay. We chose to eat elsewhere and not be restricted to their unnecessary steps for having an anticpated breakfast. I believe sometimes those that provide a service put their needs and viewpoints ahead of those who chose to pay for their services and receive those services promised. Our business for this stay was a funeral service for a relative we were responsible for.
Beautiful historical facility in a beautiful historical town.
