Location and staff were great. Room was comfortable and spacious. Housekeeping was good.
Hot tub was not completely full and not every hot. There was a lot of maintenance scheduled all in the same day. There was no hot water from noon-5 p.m. and (on the same day) the pool was closed two hours early for maintenance.
6.0
It was close to where we were visiting and the staff was friendly.
The odor in our room was terrible and the room felt sticky. The refrigerator was loud and the A/C was loud and could have worked better.

Breakfast really good. Shower was very good
All was good

Nice hot breakfast with 24 hour coffee bar. Waffles seemed to be a hit.

Very clean location inside and out for most part. Quiet location. It stops there.
Someone's trash left in shower area. Condescending elderly female desk clerk (dresses like Frank Sinatra) talks to everyone like they're 10 years old. Apparently you're only allowed 15 mins in the hottub because "other guests may be uncomfortable using the hottub when someone else is in it". My wife and I are healthcare professionals in our late 50s and were politely told we were hogging the hottub when someone else (not a soul in sight) could be using it. That has NEVER happened to us in all our travels. We WILL NOT return to this property for ANY reason. Another couple we were with feel exactly the same way. We come to Michigan City at least twice a year. The Hampton Inn will get our business from now on.

Hot tub, free breakfast, nice staff, nice bed/room, microwave & fridge
Bathtub not very wide

The size of the room was nice. The bathroom was nice and the shower had great water pressure. Vending machines were also a plus.
The rooms were most definitely not sound proof. The pool and jacuzzi were in serious need of repair. The pool was very cold, rusty brown areas all around the bottom and the jacuzzi was luke warm with the same brown rusty stains. The rooms had a wet feel in the room which left our clothes feel damp. The halls and elevator were very warm and muggy. Not too mention the area was not the best. Was not great seeing several panhandlers as you came and went to the hotel at the parking entrance. There was a polar pop cup in the parking lot that was there the whole time of our stay 5 days, which told me noone took care of upkeep. If I would not have lost money we were seriously considering checking out the first morning and going somewhere else. Most definitely overpriced for a supar hotel. Have no idea how it was rated on Booking so high, next time will definitely check Google ratings!

Clean room
When we entered our suite, the AC wasn’t turned on during a heat wave. The room was hot and stuffy and not cooling down after being in there for over an hour. When we asked the staff about it, they said it was an old AC unit and like that in every room. When we asked other patrons, they said their rooms were cool and AC was working fine.
When we tried to watch TV, it didn’t work. That’s when staff decided to move our room (not the sweltering heat but the lack of tv). Upon entering our new room, the AC was working well and not at all like our previous room which had a completely different AC system from our original suite. We felt lied to and it was an inconvenience to switch rooms.
The room was clean. But the pool looked nothing like the pictures. the entire bottom of the pool needs redone and the water looked dirty.

Very limited selection
The sink could have drained, the front desk clerk came in with a toilet plunger and tried to fix it, this didn't work. Bathroom floor was dirty and so was the sink after the plunger. Shade missing from light, furniture was old and beat up. TV remote didn't work.

The front desk attendant was very approachable!
Our bathroom door was jammed so it couldn’t be closed and the room felt damp the entire time we were there. Walls/door to the hallway were very thin, and it was very easy to hear staff and other patrons moving about in the morning.

Pool wad open and clean
The hot tub jets were crazy, water splashing everywhere

Loved the location! Room was very clean and staff was friendly and very helpful!
The pool and hot tub need to be updated or cleaned, along with the vent in the corner area on the ceiling. The pillows are a little small, and so is the dining area. There could also be more of a food selection. And I had to pay $311 for 1 night. That was CRAZY.

The pool is in bad shape.

The hotel was in a great location. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants.
The facilities could have used a little more attention. The hallways needed vacuuming and some general cleaning needed to be done. The rooms were okay but the furniture was very dated and in rough shape.

it was clean, quiet, and comfortable
nothing in particular, it was a little humid in the building though
9.0
I liked that it was close to the main road where everything is just along. The parking lot was very well lit at night and it was very clean outside and in.
Nit picking here, but the hall ways and elevator are exceptionally warm compared to the room temps. It’s not unbearable or anything but my girlfriend and I thought it was because of the humidity of the pool/hot tub. Beyond that everything else was great!

a little dark and creepy down the halls

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean.
The hot tub was like a warm bath. We jumped in the pool to make the hot tub hotter.
