Our hostess, Laura, made us a wonderful breakfast and gave us very clear directions to find the inn. They turned out to be very necessary, since there is no cell connectivity in the area! The room we booked (the master loft) was roomy and had its own bathroom with a shower. The bed was comfortable, there was wifi connectivity, and a nice little sitting area. The cabin has great access to Ricketts Glen State Park and many local restaurants within a few miles. The area seems to close up by about 7:00 PM, so make sure you go out for dinner early! Laura has a few goats, a friendly kitty, and free ranging chickens, so if you love animals, this would make a great place to stay.
Some of the decor is a little dusty and cluttered, but it adds to the grandma's cabin charm. Overall, we had a really great stay here! Also, a complaint against Booking: I listed my stay with myself, my spouse, and my toddler. When Laura recieved the reservation, it didn't show my toddler, so she wasn't prepared for Amelia to stay with us. It turned out fine and Amelia just slept on the couch, but this isn't the first time I've had issues with Booking not providing hosts all of the relevant information I sent. Also, Laura noted that Booking charges a 20% fee, so she has to increase her price on the website.

Breakfast was good! The location is great especially if you are primarily there to hike at Ricketts glen park.
The walls were thin and we could hear conversations in the next rooms

Laura was awesome, she reached out by text ahead of visit, answered my text while there& made a good breakfast. the room was nice, the bathroom large and the spa tub wonderful. There were friendly animals on site- chickens, goats & turkeys. We enjoyed the fire ring out back with plenty of chairs. There was wood, paper and fire lighters on the porch. After the fire we sat on our furnished patio and took in the millions of stars! the inn is very close to Ricketts Glens 21 waterfall hike
it was nice, cant complain about anything

Laura might want to put a few more books in her library.

It's a great location and Linda is warm and friendly and accommodating, also a good cook!
There is virtually no table or counter space available in the room, and what space there is is already covered with useless decorations. I mentioned this as constructive criticism because it's not a small observance, it was extreme. I do not feel that my comments were heard at all, as the response was not excuses. I was told that there is a folding table in the closet. There's no way we would have found it on our own, and the room is tiny so there is nowhere to put it anyway. The correct answer is to remove the decorative display on the chest of drawers and to add a second night stand to the other side of the bed.
The common area was uncomfortably hot, the AC unit was never on.
Loading in from the parking lot was a bit more difficult than it needed to be due to the rock-framed walkway in back. Since this is where everyone typically loads and unloads, there should be more consideration to making this process easier. As with the horizontal surfaces in the room, decoration again conflicts with function.
Given that there is no cell service, WIFI is of critical importance in planning the day's activities. Unfortunately the WIFI is so slow as to be non-existent, and it's only accessible from then common area, not in the room.
