you are right in the Historic district
a great looking nice inner courtyard to relax while joining the free amenities in the evening hours
all clean
ice cube dispenser
not much space in the room
AC is too loud in the room and outside within the patio - and it warms the inner courtyard on top.

loved the breakfast, snacks during the day and wine reception at night, very convenient to everything in downtown Charleston, would stay there again.

The location, the wine and cheese hour, and the outside atrium was nice.
The rooms had the old fashioned window box air-conditioners. The only window faced the outside hallways, which made the rooms feel closed in. Similar to motels. The queen bed sat up very high so you had to make sure to use the step stool when getting out of bed. Didn't like being in the room for very long. Price also was quite high.

The hotel was centrally located in the Historic District and within walking distance of many of the beautiful homes in the historic district and near many good restaurants.
The bathroom door was very close to the toilet which made it difficult to move around in the bathroom.

excellent/friendly staff
beautiful courtyard
lighting in bathroom is way too low

Great location, loved the wine and cheese in the evening, great way to meet other guests. Parking was great and very easy.
Noisy room, staff pushing trolleys outside my room very early in the morning and talking loudly. The carpet was filthy and it desperately needed to be cleaned. The room was very small and was overpriced for the standard.
4.3
Perfect location in the old town. Nice, helpful staff. And, First of all, a wine cheese reception everyday at 5 p.m., also with many other food and drink items to start the evening.

Great location!
The breakfast selection could have been better. Would have liked some hot selections instead of the typical continental breakfast options.
4.3
relaxing, close to everything, comfortable, parking, everything
breakfast options could have been better

Loved the Happy Hour and Breakfast. Had fun at both
Rooms were comfortable and quiet
Loved the atrium and enjoyed having an outdoor space to relax in
Parking was very convenient and not too expensive
Lightning in the rooms was dim
Toilet room was tiny
Chairs in room were a bit old

The location is great. The parking is also great which is hard to find in Charleston. The hotel has a designated
parking lot attached to it's building. The staff is friendly.
The room had one slated window window facing the luggage pass through and ice machine and the furnishings were shabby. The room was also noisy. The breakfast is comparable to a chain serve yourself breakfast. We left a day early as the environment was disheartening. It's a shame because the location and parking are a privilege. They need to upgrade the entire facility.

what a charming, quaint boutique inn. walking distance to church restaurants, and even the music hall. we love the atrium, the happy hour and breakfast. Best part was the congenial, cordial, confident staff… Especially Robert. They really made us feel at home and they were a cut above. The typical folk you meet will working in hotels.
no issues… though it felt very tacky to have to pay for parking

Amazing location. Nicely updated with comfortable beds. nice continental breakfast and beer/wine/cheese in the evening.
Bathroom was quite small.

comfy room and bed, nice touch to have complimentary happy hour wine and nibbles, good parking (Altho you pay for this) and great location for walking around town, staff very approachable and helpful, decent choice of continental breakfast items although v carb heavy
if the weather is bad the central courtyard can’t be used so not sure where breakfast could be eaten other than in room, some rooms quite close to noisy lift, use of plastic single use cutlery and plates for breakfast which I know is common in the US but is really not good.

It is in a good location - close to everything I wanted to see in Charleston. The hotel offered free parking, and they have their own parking lot right by the front door, so you do not have to wait for 15 minutes for your car to be brought to you. They have wine and cheese hour every afternoon, which is included in the stay, and we like those :).

We had a first floor room next to the beautiful atrium patio. Gentle music during the day with tables and chairs for relaxing in a quiet environment. The staff was so helpful . Breakfast was very good with delicious pastries, cereals , fruits, boiled eggs, toast, bagels, delicious jams, yogurts, juices, coffee and teas.
The afternoon wine/beer and cheese reception was lovely way to meet people on the patio and relax. Fruit, cheeses, meats, nuts, dried fruits, wine and local beers.
The antique queen cannonball beds were beautiful and sooooo comfortable. The linens were perfect. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Everything smelled so fresh like fresh flowers.
There is not a handicap room, but our first floor room with two queens worked perfectly as no steps to room or patio. There is a ramp into the hotel at one door and railings at other front door.
We did not have a car but there was onsite parking right at the door. We used the bike taxis to get around town and it was perfect.
Since this is a historic hotel our bath was understandably very small. The shower itself was large, but the toilet area next to the shower was very tight.. We did not have a problem but it might be a bit of a challenge if someone used a walker. I think I was told that there are not truly handicap accessible rooms, but we did not have any steps to get into our first floor room and there is a ramp into the hotel and no steps to patio.

We liked the location and the cheese and wine hour at the hotel. The courtyard was lovely!
