Superb hotel, very friendly people at the reception.
It's really too expensive!

Sophisticated southern charm! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were updated and swanky. Thanks Elyton for a wonderful stay!

Great building with a special interior design.
Rooms very pleasant and comfortable, check in / check out by the ladies in the lobby very friendly, efficient and personable.
Valet worked perfectly.
Gym was good, as was the restaurant.

Good location; free street parking that was safe. Great breakfasts. Near some nice looking restaurants but we were there Sunday and Monday nights, so many closed. Drove elsewhere with no difficulty for good dinner out.
I'm not a fan of interior room decor (sort of 60's/70's with touch of Alice in Wonderland - overly large chair!) but room was renovated, comfortable, with good lighting and nice windows. Public spaces very nice.

I always stay at the Elyton. It is so nice and accommodated to be able to walk to places around B'ham

Great location in downtown, reasonably spacious and modern rooms and amenities, very clean. The hotel bar/restaurant served us even though we came in like 10 minutes before closing.
Parking is weird, there is no onsite parking. You can do so by yourself but was too difficult to find so we ended up using the valet (it was raining so really didn't want to have to walk back in the rain from the local public parking). We stayed here during Covid and it was actually easier parking than as you could just park next to the building in a empty lot. I guess that lot is gone now.

The staff was very friendly.
having to paying 38$ for valet. no free parking

1. The room was nice.
2. The bed was very comfortable.
3. The valet was convenient and professional.
1. Booking.com booked me a king bed, but they only had queen beds when I arrived. The manager fixed it quickly to my satisfaction.
2. Drag racing downtown kept us awake.
3. Parking for our guests was non-existent.

absolutely beautiful place with excellent staff
rooftop not open on sundays 😞

Hotel is beautiful from the architecture to the decor inside. Comfortable. Clean. Staff very nice.
They have a wood fired pizza place in the rooftop bar that wasnt even open on a Sat. night because of staffing issues. Second, I paid extra for a room with a city view. The room consisted of 2 windows, 1 of which you couldn't even see out of. (See pic) and Valet only for parking.

Lighting, roomy, bed very good, restaurant great
No vent in bathroom area, so it stayed quite cold, no rack in sink area to put hand towel

nothing really, dead location, cheesy decor, uncomfortable bed
$150 pet fee is price gouging! plus another 30 for valet. for one night. unacceptable

Well-appointed and stylish accommodations. Clean.
They purport to be pet friendly but the $150 non refundable pet fee makes them anything but. There was loud traffic with blaring music in front of the hotel until the wee hours of the morning, and loud construction noise across the street beginning early the next morning. The front desk was understaffed and their computer system was not working the whole time I was there. They couldn’t give me a receipt but told me they would email it to me when their system was up and running but they never did.

Breakfast was rather interesting. Staff was not knowing where lights were and not set up for service when we arrived. Late to get it together other wise food was good. Suggest staff comes in 20 minutes sooner and know what their job is.
You also need to put a sign out front that is more than E kept going around block until just stopped next door and asked where you were.
