Comfy beds/pillows, hot water, decent wifi/TV and centre city locale in a wonderful building with historical relevance and architectural intrigue.
We would have preferred breakfast availability.

The building was a beautiful piece of history and architecture that was incredibly converted into amazing accommodations. The building was clean and beautifully decorated.
Loved everything!

The history and how well the rooms were converted to hotel rooms. Very aesthetically pleasing. The location was great within walking distance of coffee shop and restaurants and even a little farmers market. On Saturday morning when we woke up and the staff was super friendly, rooms were more than clean.

No breakfast.
1. Had a handicap room that was really uncomfortable. There was very little room to walk around. The only seat was the bed. The bed took up most of the room. It was also very high and difficult to get into.
2. Entry was street level and room was right by door. However, telling us entry was on North side of the building wasn’t helpful. To make matters worse we drove around and there were at least three doors that could have been the entry. None of the doors were marked as such.

Unique decor. Location is perfect.
Pillows, mattress, and bedding very uncomfortable. Pillows were cheap and flat. Cases pilly. The bedding was what you’d expect in a budget chain hotel. Would’ve had to go buy a pillow if I was there more than one night. I’m not picky about bedding but it was terrible.

The building was beautiful. The history.
No chair to sit on. Not enough hangers or places to put things in bathroom or room. We stayed in 302. I really didn’t like the toilet and other bathroom area separate. You could t wash your hands without going to the other side. I did get the shower concept though. I didn’t like no walls on the shower it was messy. Didn’t find the high front steps easy to access. Would have been good for someone to tell us if there was another easier entrance. No staff on site. The sign that said we can’t see you but we can see you. A little rude. No windows and common area was on one floor for everyone. Could hear between rooms to easily.

Staff was fantastic. I didn't have cash with me when I left. Is there a way I can get a tip to them?
Vending machine had stale products that were several months past their expiration date.

EXCEPTIONAL VALUE. We read the reviews and that's what brought us here. This place does not disappoint .
The location near all of those restaurants and shops just added value and enjoyment.

No breakfast, but liked free Keurig. Interesting check in concept. Cool building and great location.
Was surprised by the room without a window. If it was in the internet presentation, I missed it. Just unexpected and unpleasant. Nothing in room to place suitcases and has to put them on the floor.

Exquisite renovations of a historic property.
it was a minor inconvenience having no one staffing the front office.

Everything! As an avid traveler, this place stands out from any place I’ve stayed at. The building and its history all in itself is worth a peak. But once you get inside and start looking around you can tell that this place is a work of love. The owners and their staff are so friendly and take so much pride in preserving this building and the towns history. I love the way they integrate history along with modern touches. For this stay, in particular I booked The “Fires and Fighters” which is opulent and spacious and included a luxurious beautiful claw foot tub. Perfect to unwind and relax from long day out and about. This is what I love about this place. Each room is so unique and offers a different story and experience. I plan on coming back, bringing new friends to share this experience with. Thank you again, Sandy and staff for another memorable weekend getaway!
Nothing. I loved everything!

Location to downtown venue we were attending .
No hot water in our basement room. Cold showers were not appealing. There’s no front desk in this hotel. There’s a phone number to call if you have a problem but the employee who answers is unprofessional . We’ve attempted to discuss this situation 3x but have been ignored.Beautifully decorated but lacking basics like hot water to shower.

Can’t think of a thing!

Location is great! Building is beautiful and our room was so clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again!

A really fun place to stay. Unique building and cool design. The king-size bed was very, very comfortable. Lots of places to plug in your phone. Interesting elements in the room: floor tile and metal hooks, grab bars and counter, interesting sink faucet. The "no front desk" entry was convenient.
As a mother traveling with an 18 year old son, the glass shower that wasn't completely blocked visually by the sliding door was a little awkward 😂 but you can work around it (shower when the other one is sleeping or visiting the lounge). Obviously not a problem for couples, solo travelers, parents with small children, or comfortable nudists.

room was beautiful and very clean.

unique rooms good location. very clean
they gave our key code to someone else, who tried getting in our room. but they were very apologetic.

no breakfast, location was fine for where we needed to go
It was supposed to have a single bed and a king-sized bed, but there was only a king-sized bed and a very uncomfortable pull-out couch. You could feel every metal spring. Also the sink and the toilet were in separate spaces and the door for the bathroom could close off the toilet area, but left a 2.5 foot gap when slid over to close the shower area. So, there was really no privacy in the shower area and only one door shared between the two bathroom spaces, so you couldn't use both areas at the same time. This room might be ok for a couple, but not so great for a mother and teenage son. There was only one other room on our basement floor, but the other people had a dog who was whining in the middle of the night.

Sheets are poor quality and scratchy, and the white towels were stained -- leading me to worry about cleanliness

The modern aesthetic in the historical building was amazing. It had an air b&b feel with a classy hotel quality. Perfect location, plenty of parking, and very quiet. Will definitely go back.
The only thing I didn't like was checking out because I wanted to stay longer. The swan towel on my bed didn't float, fake swan, but it was pretty and made us feel fancy.
