Great place to see the Aurora.
Poor wifi.

This resort double charged the room. Booking.com already collected the payment. The front desk charged the room again. This case should never happen. It took me a long time to have refund. Be careful.

the rooms were nice but the beds in the main room of the bear family suite says they are queen beds but I don’t believe they are queen beds.
the queen beds were actually full size beds

The Hot Sorings
The Rude Activities Staff!
They were not welcoming, friendly or very helpful!
They were doing a job they were paid to do and that was it.
They were sometimes rude and condescending to the group , rudely calling someone out in the group.
(2 different tour guides did this).
They could use a microphone or something so the group in the back could hear them!
They left the elderly way behind to the point of them not being able to hear .

hot springs access and Northern Lights viewing.
Our room was pretty old and not much cleaned. It got too warm and we couldn’t adjust the temperature in the room. The bathroom fan and light was always on, and the plugs weren’t working between beds. Also one night they closed the hot springs when we tried to soak. That was disappointing. It could be because someone fell and got injured by the hot springs. It was slippery due to algae by the hot springs entrance. They must have cleaned there since it wasn’t slippery next morning.

The hot springs (Rock Lake) are the obvious star of this property. The restaurant offers very good food, but the wait to get in can be long. The staff we interacted with were uniformly helpful and friendly.
Guest rentals are a bit "thin"; there were only two snow machines (snowmobiles) to rent, and they often were not returned on time, so many guests were unhappily waiting their turn.
The Ice Hotel is not worth the price of admission.

basic Diner food. Waitstaff was best thing about this place...and the geothermal pool. those things I loved...what I disliked...the black mold everywhere, lack of even the most basic cleaning and having to beg to get trash emptied or any cleaning done in room. the shower was dirty with someone elses long hairs in irt 2 sides upon checkin. when I told housekeeping, they emptied the trash and came in and used toilet paper to get hair out. so we showered in that dirty shower daily. the walls were peeling and black mold at windows/bath, moisture points. Same wet towel sat at window to catch moisture there before and when we checked out. I even paid 15.00 each housekeeper one day asking to make up our room...that was when I got the single toilet paper wipe and the time they emptied trash. Ok I know youre short handed but telling your help to do the bare minimum is not ok...or covid safe.
as above

The hot springs were awesome! also the ice museum was great! The pool has life vests and floats for the kids. The hot tubs were nice as well.
it’s old, really old. the shower was so small one normal size person had a hard time fitting in it. They said there was TV, there was directv, but it didn’t work, nor did the TV. not enough plugs, tho they offer the lend of extension cords. they don’t allow you to get near the room you’re staying in, and the parking odd quite a ways away. really awful for those who are handicapped. The restaurant is exorbitant, but you can get snacks at the visitor center to save money.
not enough towels in the room for more than 2 people even tho a family suite is 2 connecting rooms and 6 people. The property itself is really disappointing, but there’s really nowhere else to stay.

Old but it was clean. The room was not very warm but that’s fine thanks to nice hot springs.
Restaurant and activities were outdated. They were trying to control dozens of guests only by handwritten memo or their memory! And sure enough, they were always getting confused for order and upset.
I guess they get enough profit to introduce better systems because all guests have to pay a lot of additional money to stay this resort…

Not much. The scenery for sure. Our drive there, some 60 miles out of Fairbanks was wonderful with few cars or trucks. I expected the road to be rough but it was an easy drive with beautiful fall colors. Their ICE HOUSE is worth experiencing.
I was in a wheelchair. We arrived 2 hours before check in and were told to come back at 4pm even though the room was ready. Their restaurant is the only place to dine and even though tables were always available one was told it would be 20 to as much as 40 minutes to be seated. We are in our 80's and wanted to be close to the restaurant and had to pay extra. The room was something out of the 50's, the shower stained and the floor missing pieces of covering wiring. They seem to exist on reputation.

What we didn't like was no refrigerator poor house keeping food was expensive wait for restaurant was over 1 .5 half close to two hrs for the wait to get in there to seat just to eat for a tiny resort no microwave dirty rooms never came in to change are sheets toilet stuff we had to Chase them down at front desk for towels shampoo etc every day for stuff which was the worse place ever for that plus long drive to a local store Walmart over 1 hr drive plus longer or any other kinds of food places no phone WiFi for us Tv mess up for three days so no tv and only 9 channels they had and they need more Towers Big for service and for phone and cable

We reserved two rooms via booking. One of the rooms given to us was not what we reserved.. The explanation at the front desk was that they made a mistake in accepting our reservation from booking (as we did not make the reservation directly with them,) and they are overbooked. (A lame story). I responded that my booking was made two months ago - so she stopped "her explanation"..
We were given a "family room" which we had to wait for, as it was still being cleaned at 6 p.m. It was in the old building, far away from everything including the second room we had. There was no phone in it so we didn't have communication with our party. The unit had no carpets, was not clean, had outdoor stairs that were not comfortable to go on, very far from where car could get to, meaning we had to drag our suitcases hundreds of feet to get to the stairs There wasn't enough toilet paper- so we took the paper from the second bathroom (it was an old family room) The smoke alarm was beeping (they did come to change the batteries after I walked to the front dedk to notify them).
The second room was what we ordered and it was fine. We should have had two rooms like that.
Am extremely disappointed and fell that I was cheated and not given the room I reserved two months in advance.

Location is perfect and it has beautiful surroundings. I like the room's interior decoration.
The bath water stinks. Beside, the room is freezing cold at night. There's no extra blankets, plus room temperature is unadjustable.
3.4
the staff was nice and they had good tours and activities to do
the room was pretty dirty when we got there to begin with. when the TV stopped working we went to front desk and they told us that none of the TVs work and that they are really just decoration. the water smelled so bad, and the pricing of everything and the room was insane for what we got. would not recommend.
3.4
the setting was beautiful.
the section that we stayed in was old and run down. we were in the second floor and the stairs were very dark and steep
3.4
Food was good although restaurant was very short staffed and there was a long wait. Prices high but v large portions.
Nowhere to have coffee in the main building whilst waiting for check-in and the activity centre was very basic.
Rooms were more basic that expected from reading other reviews and looking at website.
3.4
Loved the hot springs and the Northern Lights excursion.
staring to show its age. Room needed painting. The resort was short staffed the 3 days we were there.
3.4
hot springs, location, towel service and springs access free with room.
2 hour wait for only restaurant. high prices for rooms and activities.
3.4
location was nice and the rooms were a good size
extremely dated, had a trash bag shoved in the ceiling where the exhaust used to be, had a weird smell
3.4
hot spring is great!! friendly staff and nice environment
room seemed a bit old and outdated but overall comfortable
3.4
Clean rooms. Simple check-in. Beautiful grounds.
It was a very unique and interesting setting.
The food at the restaurant was amazing but the
wait time to get a table was a little rough.
3.4
Wonderful location, right next to the springs. Peaceful and tranquil after the hoards of people left after the weekend.
Old facilities and furnishings, worn carpet, soft and sagging bed, loud foot and ATV traffic on the cobblestones all night long, all items overpriced in the restaurant, restaurant staff overworked and understaffed.
