This is where 80's disco goes to die. They blast terrible music ALL DAY LONG AT FULL VOLUME, loud enough to wake the dead. It's so loud that it makes no difference if you are in your room or out next the source, it even penetrates earplugs like there were none and there is nothing you can do to escape it. I was panicking after just a few minutes and horrified to learn that it goes on all day. I was begging to leave, I didn't even care if I couldn't get my money back for my reservation, I was so desperate to escape. Finally they agreed to cut it while I was there, but this was probably only because I wasn't feeling well, I had the flu and I threw up very publicly in front of a staff member so they took pity on me. But I highly doubt they'd agree to keep it down under any normal circumstances. I don't understand, such a beautiful place in the middle of the jungle and they absolutely ruin it with this horrendous noise. In fact, playing continuous loud music at someone who has no way to escape it is officially classified as a form of torture. And YES, IT IS THAT BAD THERE!!!
There is no hot water, which for a place this expensive is a bit odd, you'd think that they'd provide it at least for an hour or two per day.
Also, I paid my bill the night before leaving, but the next day they came and said that I had to pay 3 soles more, saying that there was some kind of a problem with Lima end, with exchange rates or something else vague. This was especially curious since I paid in soles and either way, any potential problem was obviously between them and their service provider, not me. Honestly it sounded like a total scam and I refused, but beware of attempts like this!
They arranged me a boat back that charged 40 soles for a very short boat ride (which with a short cut was even shorter) - may not sound like much, but a lodge right next door offers it to their guests for free.

The place looks cool on the outside, employees were nice
It's like a false lodge, there's a pool that looks nice but full of Amazon's finest insects and impossible to clean fully. Food is okay, small cocktails are 30/s that cost 5-10/s in town. Recreational area and some parts look abandoned and under construction. Only a shallow pool and that's it, nothing to do.
So dirty and neglected; cobwebs everywhere, cucaracha in our first room, second full of tiny insects, wasp nest in the check in area, ants on all the chairs... I could go on. For the price I paid I definitely expect them to take care of the place, what a joke.
Maybe the pandemic hit them hard but they literally don't give a **** anyways, sums up my experience in Iquitos. Everything priced up for foreigners, imo the worst time I had in Peru.
