Location was spectacular. Even the view from spa and swimming pool was great. Comfortable beds with lots of shelves for storage.
Breakfast was limited. All we could have was coffee and croissant every day and it got boring after a while.

The hotel provides free transfers from train station v.v. Location is quite strategic with walking distance to bus/train station, supermarket and restaurants. Grindelwald First cable car station just within 3-5 minutes walks. Breakfast was really good - the Lady serving at restaurant was super friendly.

The breakfast was decent though it's the same thing every single day which is annoying for a 4 night stay
The supervisor behind the front desk talking over the second miss informed employee telling us we could add the dinner for the same price as long as we decided at checkin stating it's DOUBLE kinda makes you feel like you're In mexico everyone seems to want to cheat you! Emailed the main general manager as well as booking.com noone did anything. She can choke on her double charged dinner. In America they would say I'm so sorry for the misinformation that you received and here again as my colleague was mistaken. Allow us to give you that same advertised price that we told you yesterday on the phone and that we clearly told you here again today or hell even say allow us to buy you dinner tonight but the rest of the time it would be the 40 instead of the 20 she was the nastiest most rude person I've ever met in the hospitality industry and I've been to 35 countries. Set the tone for the entire experience when someone acts like this in the first 3 minutes of walking into what's supposed to be a luxury hotel every time I walked by that desk you just feel disgusted. The beds don't get me started I'm sorry but I shouldn't feel like I'm rolling off a cliff into a ravine because they have two twin beds pushed together and they've never heard of a queen bed here in Switzerland. It's very simple fix. It's called a mattress topper I felt like I was sleeping in a college dorm all over again

Food was amazing and staff were so kind and helpful with our family! Really comfortable beds too.
Wifi was tricky to figure out and unlike most hotels (e.g. you needed to receive a code on your sms)

Very nice hotel - not luxurious but all facilities are there and in very good condition. Good food and service in the restaurant
Towels for the pool / sauna need to be taken from the room - I tend to forget them

There was absolutely nothing that I did not like about the property.
The staff throughout my stay were super attentive, and the dinner each night was lovely.
The location is perfect, and I look forward to staying here again.

Loved the help yourself breakfast fruit salad. Would have loved to have some raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries too, but these are very expensive this year because of the drought. Maybe next time.
Also liked the help yourself coffee machine. Really good coffee, freshly made from whole beans for every cup.
Loved the help yourself salad buffet in the evening. We got our five portions of fruit for breakfast AND five portions of fresh salad in the evening (which is what we have had for the last fifty years at home, ever since we got married.). And we are fighting fit, and able to walk at 3.2km/hour consistently up hill from Kline Scheidegg to Mannlichen at 2,222 meters in one hour and twenty five minutes (beating the signposted time of one hour and 30, both currently aged 76 years old.
My wife had a heart attack three years ago and survived with only very minimal damage to heart, in spite of three blocked arteries needing stents, with blockages of 70%, 75%, and 95% (YES REALLY, 95% blocked). In a less fit person, this normally is fatal. Her Professor of Cardiology Private Hospital Consultant said that my wife’s very good recovery from a very serious heart attack (in Dubrovnik no less) was due to:
a) her high level of cardiac fitness (we have walked an average of 11,000 steps a day for 50 years of marriage)
b) her very high intake of fresh fruit and fresh (not cooked) vegetables, but we have cooked ones AS WELL
c) the very tiny amount of red meat (only white meat such as chicken), always cooked in oven NEVER FRIED!
d) healthy intake of nuts, seeds, yoghurt, with the breakfast fresh fruit, with 100% whole meal bread
e) never more than one small glass of red wine a day
f) never ever smoked
g) only ever eat French Fries (accompanied by a really good fillet beef steak) when on holiday as a treat
Why do we rate the hotel food so highly??? Because it fits in very well indeed with a good healthy diet!!! 😊👍
The main two courses; starter and main course, were sometime truly excellent, (easily to gourmet standard) and other days just mediocre. Criticisms are as follows:
o We MUCH prefer good healthy basic dishes to gourmet food as a rule but such food was not normally a choice!
o On a day when I did not like either the meat or fish dish, I tried the “baked vegetables” - DISASTER (fried in batter)! Mis-translation from the Swiss German. My wife (who studied High German at University), did warn me, but I assumed the normally very efficient staff must have translated it correctly. WRONG!
o One breakfast the waitress cleared our table away (even though my wife’s sweater was on the back of her chair!
But, mistakes in translation, and a simple mistake not noticing the sweater are very small issues, hence 10 out of 10
