Super schöne Aussicht, ruhige Lage außerhalb der Stadt. Das Essen ist super und das Personal sehr freundlich.

The scenery of mountain and green valley filled with paddy fields & corn farms was extraordinary, the compound was charming with veggies & flowers, staffs were friendly & helpful, foods were healthy and rooms were well-maintained, clean and functional.
Not all staffs were english-speaking but they made tremendous effort to demonstrate their hospitality. So it’s not really a big deal for me.

Incredible location with a beautiful view overlooking the Sapa rice fields and valley. The food was incredible and service from staff was amazing. Spa was lovely as well and easy access to local attractions.
Pool not heated during winter time, still a beautiful pool though.

The accommodation, service, food and location were outstanding and the views were stunning. Infinity pool was too chilly for a swim, but relaxing to sit around and enjoy the amazing views. The room was as pictured, with comfortable beds and pillows, air conditioning/heating, good shower pressure/hot water. Food organically grown at the property/sourced locally and meals were expertly prepared and presented - this really is fine dining. Thanks to all the team for an exceptional stay. We booked a trek at the hotel and our trek guide ("Zer" - not sure of spelling) was excellent - very informative. Zer showed us local plants and explained herbal plant uses, indigo making process (with accompanying video of her mother!) and local traditions/culture. An excellent guide who really added to our day. Thank you Zer! As other reviewers have said this is expensive for Vietnam, but it is a unique experience. We also enjoyed a herbal bath in our room after our trek, easily arranged with the hotel staff. A truly memorable stay which we would highly recommend! Thanks again to all the team who clearly strive for excellence.
Nothing. A perfect stay.

Het uitzicht was geweldig; de kamers ruim, de badkamer prachtig... Het personeel uitermate vriendelijk, en het eten voortreffelijk!

A hotel with a beautiful view and pool. Food is great with many ingredients (incl chicken) being sourced locally.
We found the visit however a bit absurd. The hotel seem to have become too institutionalised over time. Upon arrival almost a business contracting is initiated - you are presented with a long list of does and don’ts in regard to towels, shoes, pool activities and you have to in long due advance make a decision on when and what to eat. This made it an unrelaxing experience. We were adviced only to use guides recommended by the hotel, and we were told that we might get into trouble with police otherwise. We were furthermore not allowed to leave the house without all rooms being checked (no complaints or extra fines however. A strange experience

Great facilities with an exceptional view of the valleys villages. The hospitality of the staff were second to none and they went out of their way to make the stay as remarkable as possible.

everything. Sapa Clay House was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed! stunning location & rustic interior. Fabulous pool. Staff look after you as if you are staying in their home. All organic food absolutely delicious & you can taste how fresh everything it is…as well as seeing exactly where it all came from (the garden!). they organised our trekking for us, and transportation back to Hanoi. recommend this place to everything.
we had to leave it!

- Pho
it was just not tasty, not like Vietnamese food itself. I doesn't have chilli, coriander, vegetable or flavor of broth even that we can find in normal local restaurants anywhere. it tasted nothing and I asked the staff why there's nothing he said because they assumed I wouldn't like Vietnamese seasoning or coriander even they didn't ask me anything when they got order. It's double price than the Sa Pa city food which is no worth it to visit again.
- Bath tub
That was the reason I booked that room but I found there were lots of black mold and stinky moss around inside of the tub. I wiped it all before I took shower but still I could see and feel it. That was really disappointing and felt so bad.

Staying at Sapa Clay House was a very unique experience! The hotel and rooms are very special in every detail. The view from the room on the rice fields and mountains was amazing. Very lovely and attentive staff that made sure you feel comfortable. The spa was amazing too, very good massages in a dreamy setting. We loved the food and the fact that the ingredients were freshly harvested from the garden. All in all it was an amazing experience and we would love to come back!

beautiful peaceful environment, comfortable and cozy bungalow and very warm and helpful staff.

There is a fireplace where you can sit around.
only one cup of coffee is served for breakfast, need to pay for 2nd cup of coffee. need to pay VND 20,000 for a bowl of ice.
4.7
amazing place with incredible views of the mountain, service was also exceptional
bathroom didnt have a shower curtain, meant that floor got very wet. however, the staff at the hotel would clean it several times a day so you didnt notice it too much

Rooms are beautiful, we only got to see the view one day during our stay as the clouds were low but it was worth it! Staff are lovely and the food is incredible!
They are very particular about their towels, before dinner one night they showed us a photo of one of our towels that had a little bit of mud on it and mentioned possible surcharge, very awkward! The area is very muddy and wet so recommend BYO towels.

the best place we stayed in vietnam, the food was incredible farm to table, massages were incredible, staff felt like family. the cooking class was amazing and the trek they organized was one of a kind.
stairs were a little slippery in the rain.

We purposely chose Sapa Clayhouse as the finale of our Vietnam trip and it was such a treat for us. We booked the executive suite. Everything inside the room was perfect. We went in mid December their winter season, and we were pleasantly surprised that the bed was heated. The decor and furnishings of the entire place were tastefully done up too, so pretty that we requested to buy some vases as souvenirs. The staffs were all very professional and polite. Food was really good too, everything we ordered was a hit. And try their signature house cocktail mix it was so good! Highly highly highly recommend to make this place your last stop in Sapa.
We were a little shocked that the housekeeping team actually went into our room to clean up while we were at the dining area having our meal. It was a nice and attentive gesture but would appreciate the option for us to choose if we want the service or not, as for our personal preference, we prefer not to have housekeeping service during our stay to prevent any mishaps. But overall the stay totally exceeded my expectations I highly recommend it.

It was amazing, we really felt at home. The view, the food, the people are all top level.

Absolutely phenomenal views. Sen and her husband were so kind and helpful - ensuring we got the best trekking tour possible. They also arranged the night train back to Hanoi and other transport all perfectly. Very delicious healthy fresh food. Just lovely
4.7
The view is totally out of the world. Clear view of the terraces right from the bed. Host is very friendly and helpful with organising guided tours. There are 4 resident dogs and 1 kitty and they are all friendly and fun to play with. Delicious organic food from the restaurant. We tried the herbal bath, which was something we didn't know we needed until we had it - strongly recommend to try!
Price is more expensive than alternative places at Sapa, but the quality of room, food and service gave the price its worth. For those who do not mind paying a bit more, you should not miss this.

friendly and helpful staff, fabulous location.

Very helpful and friendly hosts. The foods are super good, tho prices might seems a little higher compared to Sa pa city but it is totally worth every single cent! Every dish we tried are tasty! Bed is comfortable, room and toliet are clean! Staff can help you to check if fansipan weather condition before you make a trip down to prevent a wasted trip due to unforeseen weather. They can also help you to book taxi so it is very convenient. Lovely place ! Highly recommend.
i think the toilet has a heater(not water heater), but it seems spoilt so it can be a little cold at night when you are using the bathtub

Sapa Clayhouse was absolutely beautiful. The detail in the interior and exterior was stunning. The staff were so friendly and attentive and really made us feel really special.
We got concerned about leaving any marks or stains on the white towels as if they can’t clean them then you will have to pay for a new towel. Because they are an ecolodge they can’t use harsh chemicals which is good but difficult when using white towels.

I swear the sapa clay house looks so much better in real life than in their photos. I was so so impressed with their service and the food there is AMAZING. The 4 resident dogs there are so friendly and adorable! it was a dream to stay there for the 2 nights and I will definitely go back there to stay again if I visit the area.
