The food was very good. Enjoyed every meal.
The road was steep and unpaved getting to and from the Hotel.

Designer boutique hotel in a super location with combined ocean-mountain-jungle view
infinity pool and , bar and dining area overlooking the Pacific
very private and pleasant atmosphere
the access road is for the bold drivers and only for 4x4, steep and rough
BUT there is hotel pickup/dropoff service by the hotel if you want to avoid this ride

The Kura Boutique Hotel was no less than incredible in every way. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and loved well before we arrived. Each time that we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the staff by name and with refreshments. All meals were superb. The view is unparalleled. I will repeat the that staff truly cared about every moment of our experience and did everything they could to improve our time in Uvita.
Nothing was lacking.

everything! this hotel is stunning. the second you get out of the car you see the most amazing view towards the Pacific and the famous whale tail sand bar. it was difficult to take our eyes away from that view. the hotel is very quiet because there are only a few rooms, this means that hotel guests say hello all the time which was great - everyone was so friendly. the staff knew everyone by name.
the pool is incredible and the whole place is backed by rainforest. we saw toucans 2 of the 3 nights we stayed.
the spa is very special. the massages are incredible!
we were very sad to leave this tropical paradise.

We stayed for 5 nights. We had initially booked for 4 but as the rainy season was in full swing we left a remote lodge a day early in favour of an extra night of luxury at KURA.
The views, the food and the friendly staff and the spa treatments were all excellent. We found the quality of the food and the choice available was the best of our entire two weeks in Costa Rica.
It’s not practical to leave the hotel for dinner as it’s a long way from anywhere and that’s actually a positive. We found the quality of the food in comparison to everywhere we had travelled previously was excellent and the price was also reasonable. As Brits we really appreciated the pricing structure that already included tips and taxes. The menu options were varied and delicious.
Special mention should go to Adrian who went above and beyond and pointed out wild life that we may not have otherwise noticed and to the team who repaired a puncture on our 4x4.
You really need a 4x4 for flexible independent access as the road to the property is an 18 minute off road trip, up very steep hills. The price you have to pay for spectacular views and an infinity pool to die for!
The hotel staff are super accommodating and with just 8 rooms it feels like a very personal private experience.
If you don’t have a 4x4 you can take the Kura 4x4 shuttle down to Uvita with just 15
mins notice.
We left with fond memories and a package of warm homemade banana bread- what more could we ask!
It rained for the majority of the time we were there Nov 7 to 11) and it was difficult to dry wet clothing. A drying area in the wet season for guest clothes and boots would be a real bonus!

Kura is the best hotel in which I have ever stayed. I read a review that said the same thing and that is why I booked. I just wish I had booked a longer stay. The setting is gorgeous and every need is anticipated and met. The staff is amazing and the service is so effortless on the part of the guest, they just make everything happen for you and do it with an awesome attitude and a smile. I have stayed in nice hotels all over the world but this hotel is truly unforgettable. If you are thinking about booking here, stop thinking and just book it. I promise you will think about this review and thank me, just as I think of the review that caused me to book here (we are still on property). I will definitely be coming back and next time will try to stay an entire week. This is true Pura Vida!
There was nothing not to like. Take their advice and park in town and let them handle transport to and from the property. I did not take their advice and have a 4x4 but I would not make that drive again because the roads get very steep at some points and it was a white knuckle drive for me. Next time I will park in town!

Best hotel I have ever been to, literally. It is so unique, so stylish, a true masterpiece. The view from terrace is just fascinating, at night the sky is so clear that you can observe thousands of stars.
A perfect retreat, especially for couples.
Service is just outstanding.
Take the master suit, you will not regret.
