La ubicación, es muy buena; el entorno muy agradable, las habitaciones muy cómodas, y el desayuno muy buena.
Me gustaría que el Hotel fuera petfriendly. Sería perfecto.

absolutely charming converted monastery, with a beautiful garden and a quiet location close to everything . The staff were helpful in every way…they were so nice, made me feel welcome.

The history
It saddens me to have to say anything negative, but I had my hopes up this would be as cool as represented online, but it just isn’t. It either needs to be restored again or the prices need to go way down. And management is making poor decisions…very tacky Christmas decorations everywhere. We were one of the only rooms in the entire large hotel and they put one of the only other guests right next to us…who happened to be very loud so we couldn’t sleep until they did. We checked in after dark so didn’t see the tuk tuk outside until morning, which would have been nice to know about so we could have gotten a ride to town for dinner rather than having to eat at their restaurant, which also needs to be updated. Is it stayable, of course. But the beautiful property is in desperate need of renovations or at a minimum better management. Until then…lower prices.

The property is beautiful
4.1
it is an old monastery turned into a hotel, a place where we could breath history.
that we slept in the new part of the building.

The room was very clean and quiet. The location in Urubamba was fantastic, a very short walk to the town and far away enough to be very quiet.
The restaurant was a bit quiet and the water was a bit hard to get completely correct. Very minor complaints.

The hotel is located in a old monastery. It is super charming. 10 minutes walking from the main square in a very quiet area. Our room was big and clean. Food and drinks were good
No major drawbacks. The only thing that comes to my mind is that there was big group from an organized tour that ruined a bit the charme of the place and they were quite loud in the morning

It's a beautiful old monastery (17th century!). And thrstaff was amazing! Super warm and helpful, they found out it was my birthday and brought me a piece of cake and sang "happy birthday" ❤️
To leave and enter the premises, sometimes you had to wait a long time because the doors were locked and there wasn't a person available to open them.

The staff made our experience absolutely awful. Not only were they unhelpful for simple matters like booking a taxi or opening the perpetually locked gate that you need to use to enter the property, but upon leaving they double charged us for our stay using our credit card number illegally. Basic kind pleasantries like "hello, how is your day, do you need help arranging transportation or a tour" are also completely lost on the staff. It's really disappointing, considering how nice the property is. All of these things aside, the debacle with being illegally charged twice was really the nail in the coffin. My wife and I spent three nights here as part of our honeymoon. We paid for the entire stay the first day that we were there. Upon checking out, the receptionist told us that we needed to pay for our stay. I told her that I already had paid for it, showing her the completed charge on my credit card. She told me that we were good to go and that it had indeed been paid. Eight hours later, I was notified that my card was charged again (illegally) in my absence for the entire amount of the stay. Ultimately, we were charged double the amount for our stay (which we are still disputing) and the staff lied to my face and told me that everything was in order prior to me leaving.

They were not open and did not communicate anything about the booking. This is a very disappointing experience. I should receive a refund for the amount i paid.

Staff were exceptional in terms of professional, courteous, and helpful. Restaurant was particularly exceptional. Beds were comfortable and lounge was spacious and comfortable.
Rooms were two floors with stairs to beds.
