About this house rental
4 bedroom house that can host a maximum of 8 people. All rooms have air conditioner and are equipped with everything guests may need. The house has a garage to park 1 car, however another car can be parked right in front of the house. We provide towels, bed sheets and some other amenities for our guests.
"Casa do Duque" is a 3 floored house.
The ground floor has a garage, a living room, a dinning room, a kitchennete, a terrace and a service toilet.
In the first floor guests will find 3 bedrooms (with double beds), 2 bathrooms (both with showers) and 1 balcony facing the back of the house.
In the second floor there is a big area with 2 single bedrooms and one bathroom (with showers).

Stayed for 5 nights after a wedding in braga. Was perfect spot- great space and easy to get everywhere. Check in was flexible as we arrived a little early and Ferdinand worked with us- so helpful!

Fernando was a great host met us at the house when our driver brought us to the property and got us set up. The place was perfect for us, we were three couples and we really appreciated the spacious living room and dinning room and the kitchen was well appointed. The location is also a plus in a nice neighborhood that is located within walking addition of the main parts of Porto. Uber is readily available as well. We found small markets just down the street and a major super market within 15 minuets walk. Highly recommend this property.

This apartment was perfect for three couples. We all had plenty of space and privacy and the outdoor patio was a great place to come home to and reset each afternoon. It is in a quiet street and an easy walk to everything. The apartment is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. Fernando, our host, was so helpful and was able to provide great advice to make our stay in Porto even better.

This accommodation could not have been any more perfect for our group of 6 (3 couples). The check-in process was a breeze and we were even able to check-in a bit early which saved a lot of logistical/ baggage headaches after arriving via flight. There was plenty of room including large bedrooms, lots of common space, and the excellent patio. The host provided a welcoming Portugal bottle of wine upon arrival which was a very nice gesture. The air conditioning worked great and we utilized the washing machine without any hitches.
The neighborhood is quiet and non-touristy and the host gave us some excellent restaurant suggestions within a 8ish minute walk. There was also a nearby grocery store which is very convenient.
This was without a doubt the best experience I've had using a homeshare and would highly suggest the beautiful accommodations to other travelers.

The property was beautifully furnished and well laid out for a family with spacious living and dining rooms as well as a really well-stocked modern kitchen with state of the art appliances. Fernando, the host had yogurt, juice, milk, butter, wine, beer and soda in the fridge, fresh croissants and rolls on the counter and a bowl of fruit on the counter. Oh, and watermelon in the fridge too. Such a wonderful welcome. Wi-Fi worked great. We didn’t have car but there was a really nice garage. Washer worked great and a few minutes on the drying rack on the patio and clothes were dry. Two great sunny patios. Grocery store, cafes, playground within a block. 10 minute walk to the center of town. Nice to come back to the peaceful, safe neighborhood at night. Definitely recommend this house. We would stay here again.

Fabulous!
This house was ideal in so many ways! Close enough to walk in to the historic center, but just enough outside to have a neighborhood feel with plenty of local shops and cafés. As in the photos, the house is impeccably designed and very comfortable as well. The host, Fernando, was helpful and left us a generous amount of groceries and beverages to get started and was kind enough to let her daughter leave her bag in the garage for a couple of hours after check-out until her train departure. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and the back garden is a delight. We also enjoyed stepping out onto the upper balcony in the am to enjoy some private sunshine. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Best place to stay in Porto
In over 20 years of renting properties in many countries, this was probably the best rental experience I’ve ever had. The location is perfect. It is close enough to walk to major attractions but far enough to be quiet at night. The rooms are comfortable, the decor gorgeous, the bathrooms beautiful and well functioning. Everyone reported comfortable beds. The patio, living room and dining areas are all quite useable for as group. The details are fantastic: slippers for the tile floors, breakfast supplies… the owner is a lovely person and so helpful. Really an exceptional experience.

Friends trip to Porto
Check in was very convenient, the property owner went out of his way to make sure that we could check in when it worked for us. The rooms were all very comfortable. A small note would be that the 5th 3rd floor bedroom is not as private as the others, a large curtain closes it off. The main floor kitchen, living room and patio were great areas too. We would easily come back to this property, great location and very comfortable place to stay.

Beautiful house close to Porto attractions
This home looks even more beautiful in person than online. Beautifully designed and decorated, it had everything our family of 8 needed for our stay in Porto. Walking distance (15-20 minutes) to the center of town and all the major sights in Porto. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and croissants.

Exceeded all of our expectations
This listing lived up to everything it claimed. Beautiful home, welcoming feeling. Host left enough food and groceries for us to start our day (croissants, fruits, juice, milk etc). We had plenty of towels, soaps, etc to satisfy our party of 7 and rooms where excellent in size. The location was excellent in a lovely neighborhood it also allowed us to park directly in front of the house. I highly recommend this unit.

Loved House of Duke
Stayed 4 nights in Porto - 5 of us. Fernando was an excellent host and truly went the extra mile. Fresh croissants and fruit upon our arrival. Responsive to our questions via what’s app. Our family loved House of Duke. The property is impeccable. A little far from center of town, but worth it. We mainly walked everywhere each day and Ubered a couple of times. Loved Porto - great town.

Excellent Property in Excellent location of Porto
The property is very well maintained, it was spotlessly clean on arrival, everything you could possibly need was provided and everything was in excellent condition. The house is very well appointed and easy walking distance to town. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants close to the house and only a short walk to the city metro. Staying here made our visit to Porto easy and comfortable. I cannot recommend this property highly enough, I would search it out again if I were to visit Porto again. The owner was very friendly and helpful and met us on our arrival. Great tips left in the property for sightseeing - I don't think anything else could have been done, it was all covered. Thank you for a great stay.

Beautiful Porto get-away
The house was beautiful, and the owner was very welcoming. He greeted us and shared useful information about the city. He also provided croissants, rolls, milk, fruit, and a bottle of wine so that we would have some basics before we had a chance to go to the market. Definitely recommend this house!

Best house we've ever stayed in! Multigenerational family of 7
We were spoiled! Fernando's home was stunning and absolutely perfect for us! We are a multi generation family of 7 and started our journey in Porto. As we are now wrapping up our trip around Europe, we can say that this house in Porto was hands down the best out of anywhere we have stayed. The home was spacious, stunning and there were enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone! Rare find in Europe! The top floor beds and en-suite bath were perfect for our kids (and us, the SKYLIGHT in the shower helped us all wake up) and we all thought the beds were very comfortable. My parents had their own en-suite bath, too, and honestly, multiple bathrooms with large families is priceless. The house was so wonderful, it feels like if I don't detail every single room, I'm leaving something out, it was that good. When searching for a perfect home for my parents, mother in law, husband and two kids, I looked for the following keywords and this home checked all our boxes and more. Perfect for kids, multiple families, grandparents, beautiful kitchen, gracious host, peaceful patio, comfortable beds, close to transit and easy walk to the city center.
Since we were traveling with grandparents and kids, we did end up taking the bus more than usual which was super easy and a short walk from the house. But Porto is very walkable and we only wish we had more time to see it.
Fernando was a gracious and wonderful host and we took up many of his suggestions and enjoyed the bread, jams and water he welcomed us with. Really Fernando spoiled us. A rare find and we will be back someday in the warmer months to fully enjoy what his Porto home has to offer. Thank you!!

The House was beautifully decorated and every detail of comfort was considered.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Duke. Loved the art work displayed all over the house. The only problem was how damp Porto was and the fact that the washing took a lot to dry. A dryer might be helpful.

Perfect location to explore Porto
We had an amazing visit to Porto. "House of the Duke" was perfect for our group of 6 adults. It was immaculate; had all the comforts of home, a great outdoor patio and a relaxing environment. A few of us decided we would love to stay and live there! The apartment is in a ideal location to explore Porto; walking distance to the riverfront, train station, restaurants etc. Fernando was extremely welcoming and responsive. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Porto.

This Is A Very Beautiful and Comfortable Apartment!
We were two couples, longtime friends but travelling together for the first time and this was our first apartment on our trip to Portugal. Fernando met us as planned and showed us around. He's an architect and he has created a wonderful property! Three bedrooms on two levels and a very comfortable ground floor living space and a charming courtyard in the rear. The finishes are fine and the place is quite spacious and all in all it was terrific. If you're coming to Porto this is a great place to spend several nights. It's about 15 minutes by foot to downtown but the walk is pleasant and there are plenty of cafés and shops and restaurants in the neigbhourhood. (and don't forget to wander the huge cemetery a few blocks behind the apartment - you can just see it from the rear balcony)

Comfortable, modern and handy location
We were very impressed with this house: the rooms, the amenities and the location. The interior was beautifully appointed and the beds very comfortable. Our host Fernando met us at his property and provided little extras like buns, croissants and a bottle of wine. The kitchen was well equipped and each bedroom had its own bathroom (5 of us). We found it easy getting back and forth between the house and all of the highlights of Porto. The neighborhood felt safe and the city itself is fabulous and full of both historical and cultural highlights. So many beautiful vistas. We did a lot of walking, some bus riding, and used the metro too. We bought a 3 day metro/bus pass...well worth it. Fernando also booked our taxi to the train station for the last morning, which would have otherwise been difficult as we don't speak Portuguese. In all, it was a wonderful experience and we would absolutely recommend The House of the Duke!

Serene, elegant oasis in Porto

Excellent!
This is a lovely house and beautifully done. All of the details were very well thought out, and made for a delightful stay in Porto. The owner, Fernando, was delightful and extremely helpful. He gave us great suggestions about sightseeing and restaurants in the area. The house is in a quieter neighborhood, which I liked, but within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. My family of five all loved it and highly recommend it!
