Genial! Bei unseren nächsten Besuch in UK kommen wir wieder!

Die Einrichtung ist sehr liebevoll und detailgetreu! Das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch leistbar. Das Full Englisch Breakfast war phänomenal.

Im Badezimmer könnte etwas mehr Platz sein.

Lovely stay. Very comfortable and fantastic breakfast.

Very friendly staff and fantastic breakfast. Room was clean with teas/coffee facilities.

Shower was a little temperamental temperature wise, but this didn't stop me enjoying my stay.

Great accommodation, amazing food and lovely team!

Rooms were very cosy and elegant, kids loved the fact that they had their own room with TV and lovely cushions :) We travel quite a lot and this is probably the first time the tea cups in the room are of normal adult size, unlike the small ones you normally get. We are all big tea drinkers, so that was the highlight of our stay. Great food - we had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was very good both times. Overall great experience!

We liked everything, the only thing that we noticed was the bathroom door opening inward meaning the person in the bathroom has to either climb into the bathtub or on the toilet for one more person to come in or to exit :)

Large room, comfy bed and great breakfast

Room design was pleasant and neutral Comfy bed, we both slept well Breakfast lush Evening meal yummy The spacious room meant no dancing past each other to get to the bathroom or mirror

When visiting please bear in mind that the rooms are large, with high ceilings and with this being an older property it may be cooler than expected in the room.

Amazing stay at the Old Down Inn

The whole stay was exceptional. Maxine, the host was amazing and made for a great weekend. All the staff were very professional and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. All the meals were excellent. The Christmas evenings were great fun with a very talented singer. We will certainly return to this first class pub

All in all a very nice stay

The breakfast was very good, very well served. Staff very attentive. They made sure tea/toast were always topped up. The location nicely positioned and the Inn was lovely.

Cannot think of anything to improve.

You will not regret your stay , the breakfasts are superb!

Food was superb and lots of it. Staff extremely polite, helpfull and efficient. The inn has a welcoming atmosphere about it

Passing traffic was a tad noisy at times, but it did not bother me as much as I thought it would. The dg helped a lot in this respect

Great location and good value for money spoiled by the outdated bathroom

Great price. Lovely host. Huge breakfast

Bathroom needs updating (RM 4) Shower was feeble. No nonslip mat in the bath. Cracked wash basin. Not enough soap.

Being told that breakfast would be over at 9 am on a Sunday morning!! As it happened, staff were relaxed about the timing, but to end breakfast at that time on a Sunday is rather strict!!

Perfect, we all absolutely loved it and want to come back!

Been before, will go again - really friendly people and great food and drink

My second stay and I'll be back again. Very friendly place, both staff (who are wonderful) and the patrons. Great for single travellers as others actually engage in conversation and you don't feel like an outcast. Comfortable rooms. Breakfast is great, evening meals are great too. Really good range of drinks to suit all tastes.

Nothing that can be done as it's an old building, but the traffic noise can be loud if you're a lighter sleeper. Comfy beds offset it though!

Highly recommend lovely place!

We liked everything about our stay. So well organised lovely room and staff are brilliant. We were attending a family wedding reception and stayed one night and really enjoyed ourselves. The breakfast in morning was lovely and fresh and well cooked. All your needs are catered for. Highly recommend we are going to book again as we enjoyed it so much!

welcoming, fantastic steak and very good value

It’s was a lovely place to stay , the land lady couldn’t have been more helpful as the I had wedding to attend the next day and let me use a room to change in later in the afternoon after I had checked out! I had one of the best steaks I’ve had in some time, cooked perfectly! Breakfast was spot on and all the staff could do enough for you. Highly recommended !

Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Lovely quirky old pub. A goof assortment for breakfast which we had the full English well worth the money.

Good place for overnight stay

Very pleasant staff. Excellent breakfast. Good place for dinner/drinks. Excellent desserts :) Smart TV allowed use of Netflix. Good parking facility. We just needed to simply stay overnight, so this was excellent place for such purpose.

It was warm and welcoming. Maxine was so friendly and helpful. the rooms were clean and comfy and had little extras to make the stay perfect!

all in all a good stay and we’ll be definitely be going back..

good location off A37.. easy access to wells, bath and Bristol. only there 2 days so didn’t have much time to venture too far. rooms nice with lots of little quirky bits and pieces. food was good and very reasonably priced. breakfast was good too. landlady/owner was very welcoming and attentive. as was the parrot! nice little snug bar for a little night cap before heading up to bed.

couple we were staying with had a couple of minor issues with their room that were quickly resolved. our room was at the front so we did have lights and noise from cars wake us up earlier than we’d hoped but as we’re from London we’re used to that..

Friendly staff and great information about local area. Stayed for the night in Room 1 and all I can say is wow lovely room, comfy bed. Dinner was also great with amazing food.
