Very clean.

Location, clean, views from outside
For the price, it could be a bit less dated. Mattresses need replacing.

Very good breakfast and location
During the night it was really cold. I had to wake up to find an other blanket for my wife that was freezing...and we realized the heating was turned off...we suppose automatically by the owner...then spend half of the night cold.

It was a quite place with a fantastic view of Castellfolit de Roca
We found 3 cockroaches in the room what was a quite uncomfortable… but in the other side the room was clean
5.0
Perfect location, beautiful view from the balcony, looking at the mountain.
That the restaurant closes on Wednesday.

Location, very nice view.
Room was quite basic for the price. Breakfast very simple.

The hostel has a nice view of the village. And the staff are very nice. When he heard I planned to take a taxi to Besalu, he suggested bus which is 2 Euros only and helped call the bus company and check the timetable, really appreciate :)
The facilities are very simple but clean.
It’s not far from the Castellfolit town center but the walk is uphill and the hostel closes at 8pm on Sunday, so it’s harder to get food.

From.the terrace of the restaurant you have a nice view of castellfollit. The rooms are clean.
We were given a room with a separate entrance from the main building, at ground floor with direct entrance from.the street, so we could not leave the window open during the night, althought it was very warm inside. There is indeed Air conditioning, but it sends a jet of cold air directly on the bed, not very comfortable.

breakfast was really tasty and we had a chance to taste a bit of spanish cuisine
the personal was nice but we had big problems with communication in english, if you dont speak spanish i dont recommend it

We had a great stay at this very conveniently located hostal, indeed with great views of the rock top village. Reasonable prices, for food as well, convenient to visit the area, and really a hub for the locals as well, not just for tourists, due to easy access compared to going up to the rock top, super charming and picturesque, village. We had a balcony view room facing the front, which had great views, very nice and calm spot to take in the day. The staff/owners were great, friendly, everything went well. Highly recommended!
We had a balcony view room facing the front, which was just fine, but if you're planning to sleep in, probably best to stay in the back so the morning crowd doesn't wake you up.

Nice owner, self parking is easy, breakfast is fine. Room is a bit small, balcony overlooks the highway and a view. The location is a little out of town, but the walk is nice.
Smallish room, bugs we killing me in the evening. They really don't speak English.

Comfortable, easily accessible, free parking, friendly staff

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were lovely. Beds comfortable. Great dinner. Breakfast fine. We would definitely recommend it.
We had a problem finding the hotel. Our gps brought us to the centre of Castlefollit de la Roca but the hotel is outside the town. The fantasy view you see on the hotel site is in fact from the hotel.
3.5
Generous portions down at the hostel cafe.
Must have a car to get around. Not to much in the immediate surrounding area but lots to do in a 1-2 hr drive.

Everything was awesome: super warm room, huge bathroom, big sunny balcony with a view, nice breakfast. Lovely stay. Thank you!
Todo fuel genial!

Close to the walking trail to enjoy views of Castellfollit de la Roca. The staff we met was friendly.
The room is noisy with thin walls. We could hear neighbors having sex, and dogs barking next door.
4.5
wonderful location, impeccably clean, very comfortable beds, and great value breakfast in a sunny restaurant shared with all the locals.

It was comfortable and warm. I really had a great night of sleep. The food is generous there and the staff were very patient with me, always explaining everything.
1.5
The room was clean and comfortable.
The woman who handled the check-in process was RUDE and dismissive. She acted like it was an imposition for me to stay there. She also informed me that if I wanted to eat, I would have to go to the village. However their restaurant was only 1/4 full and she allowed others to come in and eat. Since I was a paying guest you would think I would be allowed to eat in their restaurant.
After telling me to go to the village to eat (it was a holiday and everything in the village was closed BTW) she told me that breakfast would also not be available as the restaurant and hotel would be closed! She told me to leave the key in the room in the morning and go out through the back of the building and walk along the street to get to the front where my car was parked. If the hotel and restaurant were going to be closed they should not have taken my reservation!
DO NOT STAY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT

I loved everything, the location is perfect and the breakfast is fantastic

The location is very nice you have a nice view of the town. There is free parking.
The breakfast is terrible! It includes very limited options (no tomato, no boiled egg, no fruit, no croissants) and they charge you if you want orange juice!
The staff is not nice, they treat you in a way that: just another person came to bother us! The room smells very bad! I couldn´t sleep well because it smells like WC.
I´m totally regretting that I trust to Booking.com description: fabulous breakfast!!!! It´s just a few sandwiches and no buffet, no juice, no sweet things!
