Richard.

Location Location Location. Staff are very nice and professional. Parking is tricky, but it's indoor and was 19 euros per day, which is affordable.
Dinner and breakfast were good. Some days are better than others.
Took a quadruple room. It wasn't highly roomie. The heating started to knock every morning at 6:20 for 2 minutes. The water pressure at the shower was awful. Told the receptionist, but it can't be fixed. This is not a 4-star quality. Spa was ok. The jacuzzi isn't really hot.

The best dinner buffet ever! Nice view from the room on snowy mountains. Great value for very reasonable price.
Parking overnight fee 20 eur is pretty expensive. Noise from drunk guys on the streets between 10.30 pm and 1.30 am.

Most of the staff were very friendly, the hotel and restaurant are well run and the spa is a real treat when you come back from a day of skiing. Our room was nice and quiet and the location of the hotel is perfect, just a couple of minutes walk from the lifts. They also have a heated boot room so your gear dries over night.
The hotel does not have much of a focus on sustainability. Given we had warm weather and rain while we were there (early March) and the snow was really poor as a result, you would think hotels in Andorra would have climate change front of mind! We had to request for our our sheets not to be changed every 2 days, which I find a strange policy given most guests are staying for a week. Many hotels I've stayed in have updated their policies to not changing the sheets unless guests request it, which makes much more sense.
Similarly with the towels; the signage said they wouldn't be replaced unless left on the floor but ours were replaced anyway.
We found the hotel too warm most of the time and had our windows open to let cool air in. We saw many other rooms doing the same. Of course it's lovely to return to a cozy hotel after a day on the slopes, but they could be more conscious of their energy use and turn the heat down when the temperatures outside are rising.
We were surprised to find that the hotel charges for drinking water, even though it's filtered tap water. Given we're paying for half-board I expected water to be available free of charge for guests.
We are both vegan and had notified the hotel some months in advance. The staff made an effort when we asked for some other options but we mostly ate burgers and pizza all week, Considering those around us were eating different meats, seafood and cheeses with fresh options each night, (an obscene amount of which was left on plates and ending up in the bin), it seems like we got very poor value for our money on the food front. A dessert option or a hot breakfast option would have been an easy thing to provide, instead meat dominated most dishes.
It would be great to see Hotel Sporting catering more for vegans and vegetarians in the future.

location to slope couldn’t be better.
The staff in the restaurant were a little rude.

location and the lively atmosphere in the restaurant.
the spa was good but basic. Though the food was ok there was a repetition of the same dishes. The staff didn't have accurate information about things. for example, they would give you wrong information about ski pass fees and they told us we can't buy SIM cards unless we go to Andorra de Ville! They didn't know that there was a shop just next to the hotel that sold them

Love the hotel, this is the 4th time I've stayed
Tbh the only 2 things I'd ask for would be.
Better pillows - firmer ones
You say that no children under 14 are allowed in the spa. We had a few very small kids in that area during our stay. It's supposed to be relaxing. This isn't the case when you have young children there.

The buffet was really good, with food variety.
The food smell on the restaurant.
The room was too small for 4 adults. It would fit for 2 adults + 2 kids. Extra beds were weak.

We had a fantastic family ski holiday at the Sporting Hotel. All of the staff are so friendly, helpful and efficient especially on reception and in the dining room area. The hotel is a great location for the ski slopes and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The breakfast and evening buffet was excellent, so much to choose from and good value for money. The spa was a lovely treat after a day on the slopes.
There was nothing we disliked about the property but it would be nice if there was a small mini bar in the rooms and also a kettle with tea/coffee facilities. We did take our own travel kettle.

location to the slopes
I injured my knee, to enter the restaurant you had to step down three steps. I was ok but I’m not sure how someone in a wheelchair would cope.
That’s the only negative comment I have.

Room was nice and big with a nice walk in wardrobe. Beds were plenty comfortable. The food was better than most hotels in Pas, with a different freshly cooked main every evening, and fresh omelettes every morning. The spa area was amazing, with hot tub, sauna, steam room and ice water bucket. Couldn't have been closer to the slopes, the grandvalira office or the ski school - 5 star location. Staff were always welcoming and kind, especially the restaurant staff who always made time to say hello and goodbye to our son. The bar and cocktail areas were high and without high and prices! We really enjoyed our stay at the Sporting Hotel and cannot wait to come back!
Location was fantastic for skiing, but the hotel's proximity to bars and restaurants meant we were woken by groups of drunken people shouting every night at 2 and 3 in the morning.
