About this house rental
This century-old home has undergone a full renovation and has turned into a Door County gem! Finished with nautical-themed decor, new beds and bedding, fully updated plumbing and lighting, all new windows and a new flagstone patio for you to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Not to mention the beautiful view of the lake and prime location. Just 4 houses down from the brewery, coffee shop and various restaurants.
The house has been beautifully renovated in a way that preserves the authenticity of the original house while adding modern conveniences and style. With the 4th bedroom, the house is set up perfectly for a multi-family vacation, several couples or just a bigger family!

This was a great house right in town! We were able to walk to restaurants and the beach to watch the sun rise! A great weekend getaway for our family.

We enjoyed our stay - the house had everything we needed to make a Thanksgiving meal, and it was in a great location to explore Door Co.

Minor challenges related to keypad function and access to part of the property -- but those were handled quickly and appropriately. The WiFi connection is not strong but the manager acknowledged that challenge ahead of our arrival and we made alternative arrangements (hot spotting). Do not count on streaming or WiFi-driven television at this property. Staring at screens is not a reason to visit Door County, however, and this property positions you well for all of the good things up there.

We were in Door County for a wedding and this house is in a prime location in Baileys Harbor - walkable to everything.
Two things we were a little concerned about. First, when we arrived on Thursday night, there was a very strong musty odor which we thought was just because the house is old so we opened some windows and closed the laundry door and that helped immensely and the smell was gone by Friday afternoon. Second, the WiFi was really spotty as my husband and I both tried to take a few work calls from there on Friday and the internet was really going in and out so best to find a place with good WiFi if you're hoping to work from the house.
However, with all of that being said, it was a great place to stay for the wedding, great location, the beds were super comfortable, the property manager was very communicative, and a nice place for our family to spend time together. Definitely give it a try if you want to visit Baileys Harbor!

We stayed for the Thanksgiving Holiday with our family. It was fitted with serious comfort in mind. It was perfect for our family and made our stay in Baileys Harbor memorable. Would recommend it!

Had a great family trip with 6 adults and 1 dog, 4 of which were visiting Door County for the first time. The house has a lot of character and the bunk room would be amazing for kids - fun and a lot of extra play room. All of the beds were dressed except for the bunks, so a little bit of a challenge dressing the top bunk while balancing on the bunk ladder :-). As described in the listing, for the upstairs rooms only one of the two queen rooms and the bunk room have A/C window units, so since it was August we did have two adults sleeping in the bunk beds so they could have a room with A/C so just keep that in mind. The kitchen was well stocked and we throughly enjoyed the coffee amenities. The location is amazing with walking distance to everything on the little Baileys Harbor strip so we walked to Chives (the restaurant once and food truck twice), Har Bar, Cornerstone Pub, Heirloom Cafe, and just across the street to the Harbor Fish market. Also walked to the marina for a lighthouse boat tour.

Everything was great about our stay. The location was amazing. Plenty of places within easy walking distance. The home is very well decorated and appointed. Pam was great to work with. We will be back!!!

This house was very comfortable for my husband and I and our adult children. Great Winter Getaway
This was a great change of scenery for our family to have a nice weekend in - it was -15 degrees, so not much outdoor adventuring, but cozy card playing and board games!

Great spot in Sister Bay!
The house is located on a beautiful wooded lot in an awesome location, minutes from all the shops and restaurants in Sister Bay. Everything was clean, there's plenty of room to hang out, the bedrooms are large and comfortable, and the bathrooms are newly updated. We had a great time and would be happy to come back!!! We didn't want to leave. Thank you!

A fantastic stay
We had a simply wonderful stay! The house is perfect - immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. To get an idea of how clean, we were in our stocking feet the whole time and our socks were spotless. Everything you need to cook, enjoy movies and tv, plus much appreciated extras like shampoo, soap, feminine products, fans in every room. The location is awesome, across the street from a seafood restaurant (that we got carry out from every night), coffee shop two doors down, and walking distance to many other restaurants and parks. Great little view across the street to the lake which is so beautiful in the morning and at night. Laundry room is very handy. Plenty of spots to unpack. The only thing that would ice the cake would be an outdoor fire pit or fireplace! Three nights was not enough to enjoy this great home so we’ll be booking again and staying longer!

Charming with stellar location
We LOVED our stay here in Bailey’s Harbor! The property was a great size for two young families and a dog (4 adults and 3 kids ages 2-5). Fabulous location, close to restaurants and the lake. The updates done throughout this home were the perfect blend of charming and modern - it was everything we’d hoped! Oh and bonus...even though it was right in the heart of town, there is a decent yard which we enjoyed with the kids and pup! Already arranging to book again :)

Brief Getaway
Due to COVID-19, we weren’t able to take our usual vacation so we wanted to get away somewhere away from home. Door County was chosen. We liked Bailey’s Harbor since it was a quiet spot.

Perfect Getaway
We had a delightful stay at the Harbor House. The accommodations were wonderful in every way. Pam was SO easy to communicate with and thought of everything needed to make our stay comfortable. We had 4 adults, 4 kids and 1 dog for four nights. The location is right in the heart of Baileys Harbor- exactly what we were looking for. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Great location...walkable to all the best restaurants, bars, coffee houses, and shops that Baileys Harbor has to offer! Easy parking. Helpful Door County tips and recommendations from the owner. House is super cute! Very clean with all the amenities you could need. 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms...1 bedroom has bunk beds. Great house for families (stairs are a bit steep if you have littles). Definitely recommend!

Rest for Active Duty Serviceman
My son, who is active duty Army, came home after 9 months of consecutive, hard service to country and needed a peaceful rest. His younger brother and I took him to Door County. This house provided my family the wonderful “home away from home” he needed to have a joyful and peaceful rest.

Perfect location in Bailey’s Harbor
You cannot find a better location. Especially with children and a dog. It’s walking distance to delicious restaurants like Chives and Fish Harbor. And a few doors down from Bearded Heart, which has excellent coffee, toasts, pastries and yogurt. Across the street from the water. House does have some quirks but a lot of charm.
