Tica Linda is warm and welcoming and the food was great! More like visiting friends than staying in a hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff, we enjoyed talk with him. We get a lot of recommendations for places which we can visit, we tasted a national food and drinks. Amazing, quite and clean place, delicious food, tennis table and billiard are free, you can use laundry. We recommend 🙂!

The room are simple but have climatisation for the one that need it ! The most appreciate thing of the place is the welcoming attitude of the host Julio+++. We ask him about tours and propose us such unbelievable things to do. I love nature and that what I found in these tours. The plus is that te hostel is very near of these activities.
You also can eat at the restaurant or play ping-pong/billiard/karakoe if you want.
A little bit close to the road but the rooms are situated behind the restaurant and I had no trouble to sleep so it doesn't matter

There was no breakfast and the location was not so good. The had a karaoke night until 10 pm
The room, stunk and didn't have a TV. Water was dripping from the AC Unit in the room

The hosts are very friendly and helpful, so I felt very welcome from the beginning on. The room is Clean and spacious. I loved the evenings at the Restaurant/Bar with the hosts and their friends, it was a really great atmosphere like going out with good old friends. The Ceviche and fresh juices are delicious. I would definitely stay and eat there again.
Everything was great

A great welcome from the hosts and was surprised with the size of the room, which was larger than expected. The 3 rooms are behind the main restaurant and bar so they are away from public view and the is parking right next to the block. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We ate in the bar in the evening and the food is well priced and tasty. Although the location is on the main road the noise isn't too bad and traffic really reduces in the late evening. Something very special about this location is that you can do great birding walks without having to pay any fees. The staff will give you full instructions and we were able to see 4 great green macaws is a mountain almond tree only about 20 minutes walk from the accomodation. We were then able to swim in one of the two rivers that are close by. A great place to spend a night or two exploring the area!! They also serve a good traditional breakfast...
Between 8pm and 10pm there was a bit of noise from the bar. This didn't go on until late so it wasn't a problem for sleeping but it's good to be aware that this might happen as it can be a popular spot for locals in the evenings.

The man of the reception speaks english and was very nice. The rooms were clean and not to close to the road. The breakfast, that you can reservate a day before, was exeptional.
I recommend!

Julio and the owners were Wonderful. Breakfast was perfect!!! Outstanding value! They need business, said a lot of Americans stayed but business is off... I'd encourage anyone to stay and help a local family! Hummingbird feeder IN the dining room was highly entertaining!!!

Convenient location on way from San Jose to Sarapiqui. Family was very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Lovely trees and flowers planted around restaurant with many birds. Beautiful flowers in small courtyard
A bit of road noise but restaurant in front blocks some of it and with air conditioner running at night did not notice it.

We had a great time at Casona Tica Linda! The place is run by a beautiful family who will no doubt charm you! Edmundo, the owner, welcomed us so warmly, he helped us with absolutely everything we needed, including all of our activities in the area. The room was very big, spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. There is also an excellent restaurant on site. The waiter, Julio, who is also part of the family business, was very nice and professional. We definitely recommend this place which has an excellent value for what we paid.
