Super friendly and accomodating staff was the reason we extended our stay. The marine sanctuary and beach gave the 5 star swimming experience. If you wake up early, you can buy fresh fish from the fisherman. They have shared kitchen and we can cook our own meals. Great stay for people with initiative.
I bought spam and cooked it for dinner and this poor hungry cat stole my dinner. Thank goodness it was a plump cat, tasty. jk. Nothing I didnt like.
4.1
- Directly at the beach (with a great reef)
- Very clean
- Coffee (and bread in the morning) for free
- Nice and very helpful staff
- cozy hammocks
A few more options for storing/hanging things in the hut would be great!

Beachfront, friendly staff and owner

Great value and right on the beach. Basic but good value for money. Loved the ability to use the kitchen and cook our own meals. Coral able to be seen with a snorkle and goggles and in only waist deep water
Bathroom facilities need a revamp

Right af the beach. Hammocks on porch. Inside a bit tight, but we loved it. Dived with them on Apo Island and did our first muck dive ever. Enjoyed it massively! 👍
Crew on board is also very helpful.
Restaurants around at walking distance.

Unglaublich nettes kleines Tauchresort. Super nette freundliche angestellte.

The kitchen is horribly filthy! Except for one morning eating hard boiled eggs, I did not eat their food.
I dived 2 days with their crew… and on the weekend, dove 2 days with my friend. The owner “scolded” me for not diving with his people. He said I was messing with his business… even though I was occupying (and extending) his most expensive room that otherwise would have remained empty! So for the next 5 days I got another hotel and dove with Bongo Bongo… a MUCH friendlier dive group.

Loved the atmosphere. Easy access to the house reef for excellent diving activities.
Loved the night dives at the reef in front of the resort.
All the staff were very helpful and thoughtful 😊
The beach in front can get really busy on public holidays.

Super close to the beach, good sunbeds and beanbags, cozy room and kind staff
My short stay
4.1
the room was great, best location on the beach and close to restaurants and sari shops. everything is clean and aesthetic. kitchen is available for you.
1.when we booked our stay we asked to do only two dives and it was agreed by them, when we arrived and asked about it they told us that it is not possible because there’s not enough divers or something like that and we left with no options, we felt very tricked.
2.if you’re a light sleeper don’t try to sleep before 22:00, they have karaoke nights.
3. our room was on the entrance and the staff drove in and out with loud tricycle and bikes and sometimes left it on. the noise was really loud and annoying when we napped during the day and when we slept at night .
4.1
The location is brilliant, it's clean and staff are helpful. Kitchen has plenty of utensils so you can cook quite easily. Hammocks on the balcony were a lovely way to spend the evening. Tour we went on through the accommodation was good quality and good value. We were concerned at our room being fan only but it kept it cool. The shared bathroom was well maintained.
The only downside was that being so close to the beach you can hear some of the other resorts music. This isn't AivyMaes fault and it isn't too bothersome, nothing ear plugs can't fix!
4.1
The location and easy access to house reef for brilliant snorkelling.
problems with plumbing on arrival but sorted out later that day.

I like everything. We also decided to have a diving with this company. And all was good from equipment till food and support on board. And we suddenly saw hummerhead sharks near Apo Island. Lucky we are
4.1
- just in front of the beach
- the staff is nice
- bathroom very clean
- 2 hammocks available per bungalow 🙂
- bungalow rather small but for a few days it’s fine 🙂

It was difficult leaving this simple beach life resort. I did two mixed snorkel/dive trips with AivyMaes to Apo Island. As a snorkeler the first time and as a diver the second, I thought they did a great job serving both groups. Dive and resort staff were great. I had a fan only bungalow and I was comfortable with the 26C nights.
I was woken several times by the barking of dogs. I felt that it would be difficult to find accommodation in the area away from barking.
4.1
The meals included with Apo Island day trip were fantastic. Having space to relax at the resort (either in hammocks or beach chairs) was great. Location was perfect for snorkelling in the marine sanctuary and enjoying the beach.
Kitchen was a little bit cramped. Our shower door was broken. The neighbour (or part of same property?) was doing very loud metal fabrication at 7am in the morning.
4.1
Close to beach, friendly staff
At weekend it is noisy with karaoki nextdoor, and loud people talking near by at 2am etc.
They only arranged diving at apo island on a windy rainy day.
4.1
The staff are friendly. It's on the beachfront. It's not far from food options.
Tv didn't work. I fixed it. They hadn't paid the cable subscription so no tv. fairly badic room for the money. roof leaked. No restaurant. the place is a backpackers, not a resort. Overpriced by double in my view.
4.1
The location at the beach is great. There are two nice dive sites directly in front of the resort. The reception and dive staff are friendly and helpful. The huts are simple but comfortable enough and priced fairly. They have hot showers which was a pleasant surprise. The diving equipment is in a good enough state, though some wetsuits were a bit worn.
The resort has a rule that you can ONLY dive with them. This is not clear when booking. While I understand the preference to fill accommodation with people who dive with you as well, I'd normally expect you to compete on convenience, and quality of service and equipment, not enforce a strict anticompetitive policy. If I had known this, I would not have booked here
The policy also led to an unpleasant experience. On my first morning I was woken up by the dive staff and handed a phone with the resort owner on the line. He falsely accused me of diving with another resort and did so in a manner I found extremely unfriendly. It was not clear where the misunderstanding came from, but being rudely and falsely accused before you've even had time to put pants on does not make this a place I'd recommend staying with.

Staffs are very friendly. All the environment is clean. The beach is just in front of the resort, and visitors could enjoy the view on the deck chair. I love the hammock, too. I really had a great experience here and would like to visit again next time.
Nothing.

The rooms are clean and pretty spacious, and so are the shared bathrooms. Everyone was nice, even the night duty security staff. There's parking inside the premises, too, so we didn't have to worry about our vehicles.
We really appreciate that we were accommodated despite our late arrival (due to travel delays). :)

no
when i through my book.com find this place at first l only booked two day.
Then i continued booked my the rest the other extra 8 more days , but after that find they requested to pay each scuba diving fee trouble than local fees
i had my all scuba du diving equipments i am PADI Dive Master in all other places they offer me least 25-30% but the only offer 10 %
the most important the own through the phone requested me must to be diving in their resort otherwise let me got out their resort during the time is 5:30 pm even i already paid the extra rest 8 days accommodations , i make requested let still until tomorrow morning but he focus me moved out immediately, that is awful and damaged i thing in the future in this resort policy should be mentioned no diving with them they will be rejected people to stay here . i am booking.com fans every accommodation all through your business. please requested resort or accommodation must write down correctly policy.
when i check in their requested me the give them my passport and singnature first , the think i already paid two nights so i did not read their own policy.
i believe mostly people just read our own language then booking .
who know u did not put the accommodation in except policy deals.
i feel be insulted by your company And the worse accommodation

Staff, location, magnificent reef 20 feet from beach. Trip to Apo Island

Amazing location , friendly and helpful staff. Mark has a gem of a place here. We will definitely be back. Dauin as a whole is a great place and this property made it that much more special. Trips to Apo island highly recommended and snorkelling and diving just at the front of the hotel is also great.
