About this cottage rental

This newly-renovated cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms - 2 of which overlook the creek and marshes. The sunny landing has a desk and is a great work/play-space. There is an upstairs bathroom with a shower over the bath and downstairs is a wet room. A boot-room/utility room with ample hanging space houses a large larder-fridge, a small freezer and a washer/dryer. The open-plan living space has a large oak table with benches, sofas and armchairs for 6, wood burner (with a supply of logs), sky tv (family bundle), and a Sonos smart speaker. The well-equipped kitchen is separated from the living area by a room divider and features an electric Aga, microwave and dishwasher (but no conventional cooker). Directly opposite the cottage is an idyllic private terrace directly on the creek with tables and chairs.

Perfect accomodation for 6 adults. House was clean, well equipped with comfy beds. Views from both bedrooms were what dreams are made of. Would recommend Hampden House to all our family & friends.

Excellent property and location. Sadly the East Coast was experiencing a cold wind. But the house was warm and did not require the ‘central’ heating

A wonderful house fantastic location. Sadly we had to cut our stay short but booked for next year. Jane the host was brilliant really helpful. Would totally recommend this property. The lovely patio area to sit quietly watch the world go by, over the marshes. Loved it thank you Jane for a lovely few days at your house .

We had a great week; we enjoyed a boat trip out to see the seals, caught the train to Walsingham and enjoyed the beach, coastal path and dark skies at night. It's a wonderful spot to watch the tides come and go. Very tasty seafood available in town too. Thanks for a lovely week.

This is a lovely cottage in the the centre of town. We couldn’t find any faults. It was well equipped, spacious and clean. Good communication from the host. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Wells-Next-The-Sea.

Lovely open plan living accommodation, with everything you could need for a fabulous holiday and more. The bedrooms were lovely, with views from the front rooms that were outstanding, you have to open the blinds in the morning and just look at the views from the bed. Two parking spaces outside the front door, perfect. A short walk to the centre of Wells, with shops pubs and restaurants. What more could you want?? We had a fabulous time. Thank you Jane

A beautifully modernised and remodelled former pub right on the East Quay in Wells, retaining original charm but also very comfortable and warm. The views from the windows and terrace are wonderful.

Thank you for a amazing weekend. The house was perfect & the location fabulous. The patio overlooking the estuary was wonderful, we were out there from breakfast to sundown. Thank you Jane for the stay at your beautiful property Hampden House. What an idillic location!!! Everything had been thought of and was provided at the house for us. Our two girls 2&6 had so much fun looking out the windows straight to the sea, what an amazing location. Couldn’t fault it, fabulous kitchen & living area too. We stayed whilst attending a wedding at Holkam hall, ideal!! A beautiful house with so much character! Thank you!!

Couldn’t ask for more from this rental. It’s in a great location with 2 much needed park spaces and it’s on the quieter side of the waterfront. The terrace is a great spot to relax and have a drink / read or simply watch the world go by. Inside is well equipped and very clean with comfy beds. Highly recommended and we will return.

My daughter and I and our two Jack Russell’s had a wonderful week in this cozy house. We were easy walking distance from cafes and food shops as well as the open fields. It was very clean with all necessary amenities. We would definitely stay here again.

Communication with Jane was first class. The property was as described - perfect! The house was comfortable, warm, had everything you’d need to make it a home-from-home and positioned in a perfect location, with unbroken views to the front; literally a stone’s throw to all the amenities that Wells has to offer. We (including a 22 and 24 year old plus a 2 year old pooch) loved our stay. Thank you.
