Everything
Have stayed there many times.
They have demolised "The Tiny Town" in the back yard. That's was very interesting to walk through.

Great value for money! We were looking for a comfortable bed for a night, and we found just that. Very happy with the price.
The property is a little run down, but it had all that we needed.

Was offered a free upgrade. room was very spacious. Ben is very friendly. Location is so close to the restaurants and bars.
Had a great Games room but needed some new ping pong balls and pool balls.

handy location
very rundown place
bed mattress and pilows are very hard
could even feel matress springs
you get what you pay for

really cute quaint old hotel. gorgeous vintage furniture in every room, clean facilities, and close enough to the strip to stumble home from the pub, but just removed enough to still have a quiet night sleep.

Avoid this place, its old and rundown, stains everywhere, even grafitti!, creeking and uncomfy beds, the tiniest sink ever (how to wash you hands let alone face??), cheap AND distasteful decor, communal toilet where the door opens right to toilet bowl so you need to squeeze to the side to get in and out or you hover above!, communal showers with hairs and not draining properly so all your things will be wet. gosh. i like old places normally and dont expect much but this place does not deserve to even be open to the public.
everything could have been better. there is nothing that could not be improved. this place is a bad joke. f.i. signs say turn off heating - there was no heating!

I given a better room with no extra charge after spending the night in a disgustingly odorous room. This was the first time I’ve ever complained about a room, but I was tipped over the edge from the badly appointed room from a massive odour, to the dangerous peeling deep bath/shower & it’s disgusting yellow gunky bath mat.
Grungy, grotty & 3 types of odoriferous odours permitting in & around the place from a noticeable sewage odour at entrance to the 50 year old stale cooking & food smells throughout ground floor to the body odour sleazy pong in the initial room I was allocated. The rooms were frigid despite the air con which was “hot at 18°C”, barely took the chill off the rooms. So disappointing!

Basic accommodation lovely location.

We were only staying one night so didn't need anything fancy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was within walking distance of the shops. Very cold in the evening but reverse cycle air conditioner kept us warm until bed time. Plenty of warm bedding.
The bed was very hard so quite uncomfortable.

Didn’t take the breakfast.
Poor wifi

Breakfast was continental, hosts are remarkable, bed very comfy.
The bmt bus doesn't stop at the hotel, anyone.

excellent location
for the price - nil microwave in room, 2 X tiny milks - for 4 day stay??? Floor had obviously not been vacuumed - found seeds on the floor. bed - mattress desperately needs to be replaced.
3.4
Clear instructions for check in.
Stained bedding, patchy walls. I was interrupted by other guests beyond 10pm.

A littler run down

Super friendly and helpful person at the reception. Very charming old place. Something special and interesting. We loved it.

location
it’s very run down, rotting wood, toilet cistern flush broken, massive gaps around the door so it didn’t even shut properly and I needed to put the metal chin across to keep it closed, torn bed linen. pool table, couldn’t use as no balls. fusball table, couldn’t use as it was broken.

this place has been around a while now, heaps of history but it’s in need of a good make over
rooms are getting really tired now. pillows were like thick slabs of concrete
I believe it has new owners again and it seems that it’s been run like it was previously
3.4
This is a very old building that has not been kept up. Pricey for what you get.
3.4
Close to train station, easy walking distance to beginning of the hiking trails. Well priced for the area if looking for something private and with included bathroom (ensuite room)
Minor issues: Be mindful that the walls are thin. Not many electrical outlets in rooms.
3.4
The location was great and best value for money as well. Nothing to argue about when the room is immaculately clean. Comfy mattress and pillows.
Ridiculous to argue that the place is old and needs some TLC... as I see so many reviews. For the price it was fantastic !
3.4
good location and nice enough room for the price
the incredibly rude receptionist who made my partner and I uncomfortable. I don’t know who would employ someone with his demeanour in customer service.
3.4
Location was good.
Parking was inadequate. Strong smell in foyer and games room. Room furnishings are very dated. Bed not comfortable. Floors uneven, particularly the shower. All taps difficult to adjust.
3.4
Location to the CBD and RSL club as they had a music festival there
Very old and run down hotel/motel/guesthouse
