Amazing Central Location. Ideally located for town and beach and very clean. The property has period charm and character and has a good well equipped kitchen. The property is well equipped with everything you’ll need and all local places of interest are within walking distance. The bedroom ceilings are low but the beds are very comfortable and very clean. I would certainly recommend this property.

It was quirky and had a decent kitchen. It was also in a fantastic location and had free parking in a secure car Park.
The smell of damp was overwhelming and affected my wife’s breathing so badly we had to book alternate accommodation so we didn’t stay.

Fantastic location, owner was very responsive, free parking.
The apartment looked nice and quirky however as soon as we walked in we were hit with a very damp smell and everything was damp and as a result nothing felt clean. The smell was quite overwhelming and we were all very happy to leave.

We stayed here as a family ahead of a ferry journey home to the UK. We were a little dubious after reading some of the reviews regarding it being a noisy apartment and smelling musty. Whilst the apartment does smell musty it is in keeping with a property of that age and quality and to be honest we only used the apartment overnight so it didn’t bother us particularly. We could hear movement from upstairs but it wasn’t disruptive or too loud. The parking arrangement is fantastic and free. The location of the apartment is perfect for wandering in to the city for the evening. The apartment had loads of space for sleeping and the sofa bed fitted 3 small children with ease to avoid them using the mezzanine floor. The beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent. We would stay again.

the apartment is very close to the beach. The decorations are fun for kids. Coffee & sugar provided. Good kitchen for making a simple meal.
We liked the loft beds, as they are themed to pirate ship bunks, but the mattress were old and you have to be young to crawl up to them.
Avoid this location if you have allergies to mold and mildew. My asthma was triggered during the night. The building is older, and there is a dank smell. No fan or windows to open. The cleaning crew forgot to remove a razor and used soap left by the previous occupant.
Despite many attempts, the copy & paste of the long password, on multiple devices, the Wi-Fi was inaccessible.
Noise from neighbors upstairs kept my child awake until midnight.

It was very cold in the apartment. The sleeping area is unusual, and not comfortable at all.

The location was excellent and the host very helpful.
Quirky property, kitchen and bathroom good.
Heating was good otherwise it would have been cold.
Unfortunately it was very dusty and smelt damp. It was dark but that was to be expected because of where it was situated.
Sleeping arrangements a big problem for us. My husband and I are 79 and 68 respectively and fit and able. We have slept on a mezzanine before BUT this one was accessed by a step ladder not stairs as advertised once up there you have to crawl to the
double mattress (not a bed) I am 5ft 4inches and just about able to sit up.
We ended up with my husband sleeping downstairs on the sofa bed and me on the single mattress.
Sadly we rather wished we had gone to an hotel which we could have done more cheaply.

Stunningly decorated property, really feels like a pirate hideout. Loved climbing into the mezzanine bed, almost a deck hammock. Great intramuros location, to explore the town once the day trippers have gone.
Smells a bit musty at first, but nothing a scented candle cannot overcome.

The apartment was quirky, especially for an Australian tourist, and it’s location within the walls of St Malo was excellent. it was well furnished but the sleeping arrangements up on the mezzanine level was okay for me but not for my friend who suffers from claustrophobia.
The sleeping areas…there was not enough head room from the mattress to the ceiling…you could just sit in bed but you couldn’t stand up in that area. I have stayed in a mezzanine before but with enough room to move around. There should have been a warning that this area could pose problems for some people, especially those with mobility problems. I didn’t have problems going up the ladder but my friend opted o sleep on the couch (not a sofa bed).

The apartment was very nice and very close to the centre, shops and bars.
The apartment was a little dark.

The location was brilliant. There are some small bars around the corner, short walk to the busier parts. We went out for all our meals, so cannot comment on the kitchen. My husband and sons loved the accommodation. It is a large space. Our sons, 9 and 11 years, slept up on the mezzanine level and were fine with the ladder going up and down. The decoration was in keeping with the age of the property. For the price it was great, not a 5 star property, but the price reflects this.
I could hear someone walking around upstairs at about midnight. If I had already been asleep I would not have heard them. We had problems organising the pull out bed. We ran out of toilet paper. I did read a review from a guest who stayed there about 2 weeks before us who commented on bed bugs. We were all fine, no bugs. The extractor fan from the bathroom/toilet goes into the main room. There is a slight musty smell, so we left the door ajar when we were there and awake which did help clear the smell.

The decor was quirky and suited the area. The shower worked and there was hot water.
It smelt musky, was so dusty I had to sleep with my glasses on. It was impossible to sleep as the sleeping conditions were atrocious. It looked like like two bedrooms in the picture, but turned out to be one room with a mezananine with a vertical ladder leading up to it. The bed was very close to the ceiling, which was dusty and very claustrophobic. The noise above was horrendous. we had the worst nights sleep ever. Do not stay there, it is dreadful.

Cool decor and great location
Was a bit stale when we arrived and not enough toilet paper for the weekend

Excellent location, perfect cooperation with the host, parking card. Unique decor
Climbing a ladder to get to the sleeping area may be dangerous for some people

I liked everything about the place. It was so stylish and. The location cannot be better. Because we stayed during winter months, it was rather chilly inside, but it was not an issue. Blankets were very nice and warm.

Nice situation and decoration
The heater was not working and nobody could come to fix it so we decided to leave a day before our scheduled departure. The host agreed to refund us the last night, but turns out he changed his mind and we never got our money back 🤷🏻♂️
Bed/mattresses very uncomfortable

Super location!
This is definitely a super location which is as convenient as you can imagine!
The place is decorated well, giving you an atmosphere to match the ancient city!
The heating is great!
Kitchen facilities are very good!
Shower sewage needs some work, and probably it’s taken care of already.
Just a remind:
If you don’t want to climb stairs for sleeping, then you have to give it up. Besides, pls watch your head when you go to your bed!
Host is very nice responding every time you want.
Shower sewage needs some work, and probably it’s taken care of already.
I do love this location! Love the host. Besides, supermarket is within 100 meters!
Thanks!
Not really.
If there could be a charger extension upstairs, it would be much better. Thank you!

The place is amazing and unusual, not just your regular boring apartment or hotel room. It's full of weird and beautiful artifacts and located in the heart of Saint-Malo. Very advisable for everyone travelling with friends!

The property was well-decorated - plenty of authentic marine/naval-based décor done tastefully. We enjoyed looking at them.
The kitchen supplies were also abundant and suitably provided. The owners were cordial and welcoming. Overall, it was a good place to rest (but comfortable only in the living room pull-out sofa bed) and enjoy a nice break from all the touring. The location is ideal- in the heart of the old fortified town!
The beds!
I hope the owners wouldn't mind us telling them that the bedding set up on a musty mezzanine where one can touch the ceiling or have legs stick out is not at all suitable. The night was uncomfortable and neither the kids nor the adult could sleep due to the positioning of the beds in the very small mezzanine area. If a bed can be installed in the living room area itself on the ground floor, I am sure this place would be really popular with all guests as this is the only negative point in the accommodation, but a very important one for all tired travellers - a comfortable sleeping area. I must add that my children felt the odour of the upstairs beds and ceiling very uncomfortable and we spent time shifting them.

The accommodation is in a great location in the heart of the old Intramuros area of St Malo, within the ancient medieval walled town. Lots of history and very interesting. Normally its thriving with cafes and restaurants to eat, but unfortunately we went during the pandemic so everything was closed.
The apartment is quirky and full of character.
Be prepared for the ladder up to the mezzanine floor sleeping area!
