Es war eine sehr gute Wahl, hier zu übernachten. Sehr gerne wieder.

Das Haus ist 1893 erbaut und dem Alter und der Epoche entsprechend geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Besitzer Ray ist ein netter, sympathischer Gastgeber, der sehr gute Tips für Ausflüge und zum Einkehren in Restaurants und Pubs gibt. Sein Frühstück - u.a. frischer Obstsalat- lässt den Tag perfekt beginnen und am Abend kann man im Gästezimmer vor dem Kamin den Tag ausklingen lassen. Besser geht es nicht.

Amazing place & hosts

When we first turned up at Collingwood Manor we was impressed with how it looked, then we stepped inside we was even more amazed. Then we met Ray who introduced himself and told us about the facilities & amenities & good places to eat & drink. We then he showed us our room which was amazing. The beds were very comfortable. We was under no pressure what time we had breakfast, he would fit with us, it was very nice and good start to the day. Then on the day on leaving, Ray told we could have a late check out if we wanted or leave our bags there for the day as he knew our flight was until the afternoon which we was very grateful. Then to with our big thanks when it was time to leave he rang & booked a taxi to airport for us. Would definitely stay there again.

A warm and welcoming stay was provided us, from start to finish.

The hosts were exceptional in their helpfulness, even before our arrival. Home was beautifully restored Victorian era, filled with art of many kinds. The hosts knew a great deal about every piece of their art. It was about a 5 minute walk to town center, so location was great. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Our hosts even drove us to the airport for our flight out! Such kindness is seldom seen. We very much liked Nelson’s personality, probably largely influenced by the efforts of Ray and Jules.

I honestly cannot think of anything I didn’t like.

The charm of an old Villa, good sized rooms, decor and very friendly, helpful host. And a great breakfast and walking distance to town. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

The breakfast was great, very substantial! The boys loved their bacon and egg ‘butties’ made especially for them. Loved the use of the guest lounge! Ray and Jules are great hosts!

The breakfast was all we needed to get the day in motion. Ample cereals, granolas and fresh fruit topping. The option to have an egg was offered. The old house had charm and is very well maintained and loved by our host & hostess.

Only the weather could have been improved.

Fantabulous

Ray and Jules run a super BnB. They were so kind and helpful- finding lost baggage and driving us to pick it up. Exceptional hosts.

A step back in time with the best of up to date breakfast etc.

Very friendly and discreet staff; a fantastic historic house, very authentic to step back in time; quiet; ample breakfast with classy fruit salad, nutritious bread, hot food option. Two suitcase racks, so you don't have to bend to the floor for things.

i would totally recomend the collingwood manor

the location was perfect. 5 min walk to the middle of nelson. our room had its own side entrance and balcony so we didn't have to go through the front door everytime we went somewhere. the communal breakfast was a great way to meet other travellers and share experiences and the breakfasts were so yummy. jules and ray were great hosts, always happy to chat, and they have an amazing collection of art. the room we had was spacious and comfy.
