Gutes Hotel für Ankunft/ Start in Sri Lanka

Die Unterkunft hat eine super Lage. In einer Seitenstrasse, deshalb nicht zu laut. An der Hauptstrasse alles voller Restaurants, Bars usw. Nicht weit zum Flughafen. Grosse Zimmer. Sauber. Wir haben ohne Frühstück gebucht, deshalb kann das von uns nicht bewertet werden.

Zimmerservice kam nur auf Anfrage. Pool kleiner als auf den Bildern.

Aufenthalt war in Ordnung

Das Hotel insgesamt ist sehr stylisch, hat große Zimmer, bequeme Betten und es war angenehm ruhig. In dem super chicen Restaurant wird auch das wirklich gute Frühstück serviert. Die Rooftop Bar/Restaurant bietet einen tollen Ausblick, allerdings gab es während meines Aufenthalts dort keinen Service. Zum Strand, den Restaurants und Shops an der Hauptstrasse sind es nur wenige Schritte.

Mangelnde Sauberkeit: Im Bad war vom Spiegel, über Waschbecken, Armaturen, Duschkabine und Toilette bis zum Fußboden alles sehr vernachlässigt und ungepflegt bis schmutzig. Duschtücher waren aber sauber.

My stay was excellent and expectations were met

The breakfast was excellent. The service was great and the staff was just amazing and friendly. The place is quiet in spite of being close to pubs and bar. Will recommend a stay there

Good hotel for an early morning flight!

Friendly staff. Great location. Spacious Rooms.

I paid for a view and there was none. When I asked, they said that no room in their hotel has a view; so, it is false advertising. The Internet got disrupted quite often. The towel of the previous guest was still in the room. The amenities are limited.

Great as a pre airport place to stay!

The air con was great Location was perfect Rooms were large Decent fridge

Shower water didn’t get very hot. Wifi signal was very hit and miss Booked airport transfer for 6:30, went to reception at 6:15 to check out and pay the outstanding bill and couldn’t find anyone.

Nice location, nice rooms.

Quite big room with a bit of sea view from the balcony. Very close to the beach but in quite area. Nice rooftop terraces.

The service of the staff wasn’t so great. Our last night, before the flight, we had dinner in the rooftop terrace but the service was not the best, I had to go downstairs twice to the reception to ask to send someone upstairs. Took more then one hour to order and get our meal. We were the only two people no anyone else in the rooftop.

Net hotel maar let op je spullen...

De locatie vlakbij het strand en de restaurants was top. Het zwembad was even lekker verfrissend al is deze wel wat klein en heb je weinig privé aangezien deze grenst aan de eetzaal met grote raampartijen.

Op de één of andere manier waren we 20.000 roepie kwijt geraakt vanuit onze kamer. Dit zat in een verborgen vak van mijn tas die achter bleef op de kamer en bij terugkomst bleek dit ineens weg te zijn. Ik kan natuurlijk niks bewijzen maar voor ons 1e verblijf in Sri Lanka was dit wel een enorme domper. Ik ben al jaren vaste klant via booking en ik heb dit nog nooit meegemaakt... het was wel een goede les, de rest van de vakantie hebben we continu sloten op onze tassen gehad.

Friendly staff and great location

Hotel Sico is a lovely boutique hotel. The staff were very very helpful and friendly. They were very responsive and a great source of information. We easily went into Negombo which is only 3klm away. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a few days relaxing at Negombo beach.

Far from city center, unreliable wifi, ok room but not worth the money

It's for me really not worth the money to stay in this hotel. After traveling almost the whole day, I arrived 11 pm but there was nobody to help me. I was sick and wanted to be in the room but took forever with reservation. They knew I would arrive at that time, it would be nice to be there for the guest. Also, the wifi is really terrible! You get once a day 1 voucher which is ment for only one device. Everyday you have to ask again and it doesn't work properly but it's in most places in Sri Lanka that wifi doesn't work. Its better to buy data Dialog. Thr location... far from city and nothing much to do in the area. I wouldn't stay in this hotel for another time. Also, when I asked to pick me up from Airport, they said would be 8000 LKR, while if you use PickMe and go with tuk tuk it will be less than 1000 LKR.

Relaxing stay after flights

The street that gives access to the hotel is made of dirt, so with rain it’s challenging to access it.

Highly recommended.

Really love to this place. Very friendly staff & supported to have a great experience during our stay. Rooms also well designed, very clean and comfortable. Had all the amenities and facilities we expect as a guest. Rooftop was also a fantastic place in the evening. We're really satisfied & highly recommend as a hotel to enjoy your desired freedom. We definitely love to visit them again.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

When I first booked the price was 38 dollars when we tried to check in they told me it was 58 dollars. We were tired we needed a place to rest so I took it and payed the price that I am not suppose to pay for clearly it was a fraud. The room wasn't clean the restroom wasn't clean there were even a lot of hair on the floor. I was not satisfied with the place and the room. I do not RECOMMEND this place at all.

The staff were nice. Room was spacious. Located close to the beach.

The WiFi was bad and you need to ask for a user id and password for the WiFi everyday and one for each device limited to 2GB which was annoying. No complimentary water in the room, the bathroom wasn't well cleaned. The towels were not washed well, stains all over, same for the bed linen at a few spots.

Why Hotel Sico?

We had 24 hours of accessibility and that was so convenient. All the nice pubs and the beach are just within five minutes walk.😍 the room we had was so spacious and clean. Had been served with great hospitality measures...❤ I loved the environment and the atmosphere. The staff was really friendly plus always were ready to serve us when in need. And of course we had a great time by the pool... 😍❤ I highly recommend Hotel Sico, Negambo for any local or foreign travellers...! 🤗

Overall this is a great place to visit. The view from the balcony and rooftop bound to masmarise your mind. Beautiful am

I specially liked the location of this place. Beach, restaurants and mall everything is near the doorstep. The rooftop mini bar and sitting arrangement is really fantastic.

Everything was okay but may be the room was vacant for long time so there were some dust out there.

Clean, spacious room with a class of touch. Some sea view if the room level is high (stayed on the 3rd). Relatively quiet, a short 5 mins walk from the beach though not beside beach.

Birds chirping in the morning though not within the control of the hotel management.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff

Hotel Sico exceeded our expectations from the moment of checking in. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean, and the staff was always friendly whenever we needed something. The facilities provided were excellent with great value for money. The location is very close to the beach and has a lot of restaurants around that you can eat out in or order from. 100% recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Negombo for a relaxing getaway.

A perfect stay

Came here to attend to some work in the area and found the place quiet comfortable and clean. it’s modern in style and design and therefore kind of generic. I guess more authentic properties would also be priced higher. the staff were friendly and available. just a couple of minutes from the main road and there also one of the most popular areas on the stretch. from a local standpoint this is a clear winner!

I spent most of my time working and the table and chair weren’t ideally suited. this is not a criticism at all as I doubt many people stay and here work like I did. but it’s something the hotel could look into.
