Very Clean Quiet little cottage.
Arrived in the dark so a torch is a good idea.
Love the The White Company soap's etc.
Everything you need in this lovely little cottage.
4.3
Nice room and good to have parking
Workmen outside early second morning painting steps and woke us up.
4.3
Great location for Eastbourne Tennis.
All good.
4.3
Beautiful setting, clean and so, so comfortable. Great night's sleep. All facilities you'd want. Lovely village nearby with good food offerings. Very relaxing and wouldn't hesitate to return
No issues at all

This is a room only booking. The location is great in terms of access to a lovely garden, pub, thai restaurant and two cafes. The local countryside is stunning. This specific room is basically furnished but has everything you could need in terms of soaps, towels, tea, coffee etc
You can hear the traffic on the nearby busy road.
4.3
The room is clean and bright, bathroom is larger than usual, bed is comfortable
The washing machine and the trumble dryer were at a separate room next to our room
There was steps and slope from carpark to the apartment, but just short distance
4.3
Great location with an old English pub, a cafe, hikers rest ( which does a superb nicoise salad) and delicatessen and Thai restaurant around the square.
Lovely warm welcoming staff.
Perfect for walking to Belle Tout lighthouse, Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters.
Whilst the beautiful flint garden wall provides privacy, it would have been nice to see the garden from our room, although I sat on the bench through the arch and enjoyed an early morning coffee looking at the beautiful English country garden and listening to the birds.

Room was fine. Dinner at Tiger Inn also good
As a walker, I would have loved a bath! Showers just don’t have the same effect on tired feet!
A map, showing exactly where the room is located, eg in relation to the Tiger Inn, would have been helpful. Even after getting directions at the bar, I still had to phone to find the place.
4.3
The room was spotless and the location was great
Nothing
4.3
- tucked away
- quiet
- good parking
- nice bathroom and bed
- couldn’t book for two nights, only one. not a major issue.

There is a very nice breakfast place nearby, highly recommended!

What I liked:
The Garden Room was well located, with only a short walk to the Seven Sisters cliffs.
The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet.
There was a well-stocked selection of high-quality teas, coffees, hot chocolates, and biscuits that were replenished daily.
The staff provided a welcome guide to the local area, complete with recommendations and maps.
A separate laundry room equipped with dryers, washers, irons, and ironing boards, as well as the detergent and stain removers required to use them, was a welcome surprise and something rarely seen.
The breakfast was delicious and up there with some of the best I've had while staying in hotels, inns, and B&Bs.
The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was everything we hoped for.
The Wi-Fi speed and range were good, with 39.90 Mbps down and 17 Mbps up.
What I did not like:
A separate email address is required by the property to get the check-in details and the code to get into your room. I never received it, which made our check-in a tad confusing and is apparently a common issue. This was solved by walking to the Tiger-Inn pub and checking in manually.
Overall, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at The Garden Room. While there was one issue with the check-in process, the rest of the experience was excellent. I would recommend this room to others.
4.3
Lovely garden, torch provided, plenty of drinks, good shower.
Could not get in with code supplied - but soon rectified after I managed to contact someone (although that was tricky without reception or wifi). Bath would have been a bonus.

I have previously stayed in the rooms at the Tiger Inn so wanted to check out the Garden Room. Great to have a table and chairs outside as the weather was fantastic and I could eat my takeaway breakfast from the nearby cafes. The walled garden is also a lovely place to sit and relax. The fridge in the room was useful for cold drinks. Bed and linen is the same excellent quality as in the rooms in the Inn. The bathroom has a walk in shower which I prefer to a bath. Although closer to the main road than the pub rooms I did not find the traffic noise a problem. Another lovely short stay in East Dean enjoying the scenic walks.
The room was a bit hot at night in spite of a fan but it was just before the heatwave so presume it is fine in normal summer weather.
4.3
simpel but ok good shower
4.3
Location and character of property in lovely secluded surroundings.
Great attention to detail providing everything we required.
4.3
East Dean village is beautiful and the overall setting of the room was lovely. The walled garden next door, the village green and walking from the village were all great. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable and the room was well equipped with a range of quality tea and coffee as well.
I hadn't realised the room was outside of the walled garden so that the window and outdoor seating area both looked at a wall. There was also a lot of traffic noise. This is a south facing room and was hot. However, a fan is provided. A larger sink in the bathroom would be very useful!
4.3
Very clean with a comfortable bed and excellent bedding.
could improve the signage to individual rooms.
4.3
Great location
Very small room but good value for money
4.3
Excellent location
The only view from the property was of the garden wall
4.3
Black out curtains drastically needed. It was very bright in the morning.
4.3
Immaculate clean with quality final touch. Lovely little village full of charm.
No communication. I didn't receive any message with instruction how to check in. No one was answering my calls. Had to figure out everything myself and go to the local pub to ask informations. At the pub I was told that office was not working that day. Therefore no way to arrange/book mentioned £10 breakfast. Next day we had to manage without any food (nothing was open in the village in the morning). As we are hikers (didn't drive that day) we had to walk few miles to the nearest Eastbourne and had a 'breakfast there' at midday. Cannot score higher the place which leave his clients with absolute lack of service. I also didn't like the fact that the garden room had also restricted view; just a garden wall next to property bins.
4.3
The garden view was fabulous.
The room is too hot to stay for longer. the check in time unable to access earlier.
4.3
brilliant location and v handy parking. laundry room next door was helpful. comfortable bed and great shower. nice toiletries.
pub was lovely with a great selection of beers and nice staff but food was really disappointing both dinner and breakfast.
4.3
excellent location. very helpful and friendly staff. really good quality festive menu.
in winter it was very dark moving between the garden room and the Tiger Inn. a wind up torch was provided but wasn’t very effective
4.3
The interior and exterior of the room was very nice and pretty. The room was clean and tidy and a nice size, toiletries, tea and coffee were available.
The area wasn’t too isolated and I was able to order Uber eats, Morrisons in seaford was approximately 10 mins away and the beacon in Eastbourne was also approximately 10 mins drive away.
A nice and romantic getaway from the city.
The green exit sign was very bright, it illuminates the room in the dark
4.3
The garden room is located in the very picturesque village of east Dean and has access to an outside area and walled garden. As keen walkers the location is perfect, right in the middle of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head country park. The food in the Tiger Inn was reasonably priced and excellent quality. Breakfast was excellent, we had the Sussex which was huge, salmon and scrambled egg on toast, and fruit.
As keen walkers it would have been nice to have bath.
