About this house rental
Casa Sebastiao is an old house painstakingly renovated to a high standard, situated within the Lagos city walls. The house provides a high standard of comfort while retaining the feel of a gracious old property. There are two terraces, a small breakfast terrace outside the living room and the other a roof terrace, offering great views of the bustling harbour and the 5km stretch of Meia Praia beach, and beyond. The house is entered by wooden double doors which open onto a spacious kitchen dining room. The granite topped island in the centre of the kitchen provides a great work surface, and the kitchen is well equipped with induction hob, electric oven, kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and toaster. On this floor is the double bedroom plus annexe, suitable for an extra bed or for use as a child's room. There is also a utility room equipped with washer and dryer, and a family bathroom with bath and shower, handbasin and w.c. A hand made wooden staircase leads up to an airy living room, and twin bedroom with en suite shower room and w.c, and the airy living room. There is air conditioning in the kitchen/dining room, double and twin bedroom, as well as the living room on the first floor. Off the living room is a small terrace with table and chairs, and an external staircase leads up to the roof terrace with its wonderful 360 degree views over the harbour, beach and countryside surrounding Lagos. There is a Weber charcoal barbecue for use on either of the terraces for al fresco dining. The upper terrace is also equipped with sun umbrella, loungers, table and chairs so as to get the best of the views and the sunshine. The property is fully equipped with towels and bed linen, plus basic foodstuffs and dishwasher and washing machine tablets. We also put a food pack in the fridge as a welcome gift.

Our recent stay at the two-bedroom townhouse in Lagos, Portugal was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the lovely owners who were incredibly attentive and gracious with their time. They took great care in providing valuable information about the area, recommending fantastic restaurants, and suggesting various activities to enjoy during our visit.
The townhouse itself was spacious and thoughtfully designed, offering all the comforts of home and more. It was fully stocked with every necessary amenity, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The convenience of its location was within easy walking distance, we found charming restaurants, stunning beaches, and the bustling marina—all of which added to the allure of our experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Lagos and attributed much of that to our wonderful accommodations. The townhouse provided a perfect retreat after a day of exploring, allowing us to unwind and relax in style. The owners' hospitality truly made a difference, making us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.
Without a doubt, we would eagerly return to this townhouse on our next visit to Lagos. It exceeded our expectations in every way possible, leaving us with cherished memories and a desire to revisit this beautiful corner of Portugal. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and comfortable stay in Lagos.

Mary was a wonderful host. She met our train and stocked the fridge with necessities. The home is in an amazing location close to markets, beach boardwalks and restaurants. We had everything we needed to make it our home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and miss the view from the balcony already. We will definitely recommend this place & hope to return one day.

A really lovely property away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but just 5 minutes walk from the promenade, lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. Very comfortable and well equipped and with the bonus of two terraces, each with amazing views. We could not find fault and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In addition, the host was very friendly and accommodating.

The house was just as described; well appointed and comfortable. There were lots of thoughtful touches (washing capsules, loo rolls) as well as a.welcome pack including a good bottle of red wine. WiFi was effective and strong throughout . The view from the roof terrace was super and at night we could hear the waves breaking on the beach, a real pleasure. The location was excellent; only a short walk into the centre of the old town its shops and restaurants. The host checked us in after she had shown us to the large local car park (approximately a 5 minute walk away). Spaces were always available and parking was free.
Overall, a great location, comfortable property with all the amenities required to make a great base for our holiday. We would not hesitate to recommend it.

My wife and I spent a week at this property. Everything was perfect. It was clean, quiet, and air conditioned. The patio and sun deck both offer incredible views of the marinas and the ocean. The location is ideal. The bus system worked well for us to get to a different beach each day. In the evening we walked steps to the most beautiful square in Lagos which we found to be a magical beach town.

We had the most amazing time. The home had all the things needed that you don't have the ability to bring with you when traveling internationally. The views were the most amazing part. Everything was very clean and comfortable, with a short walk to the city center. The little touches such as having juice ans pastries available upon our arrival were very much appreciated. While the street was quite active we never heard any noise inside. I would definitely book again when I return on the future.

This was the best place to stay in Lagos, very central and easy walking to bars, restaurants, shops, beaches and the bus station. Parking for our hire car was free and a couple of minutes walk away. Mary, our host was very attentive and communicated extremely well. The accommodation was spacious and clean with a roof terrace to die for. We would certainly be happy to use it again.

Mary, a delightful host, greeted us upon our arrival and had stocked the refrigerator with some basic needs including a lovely bottle of wine! Very welcoming. The house was just about as perfect as it gets, comfortable, stocked with everything one could want or need, The views from the outside patios of the marina and city are just breathtaking. I just can say enough about the location, 2 minutes to the heart of old town full of restaurants, shopping and mercados, 4 minutes to the marina, 10 minutes to the beach. Book, go and enjoy your stay...we didn't want to leave! Thank you.

Beautiful accommodations overlooking the marina. Great views from the roof top terrace. 5 minute walk to the market, bike rentals, downtown square and gluten free pastries. Perfect accommodations for 2 couples. One bedroom and bathroom on the main floor, and second bedroom and bathroom on the second level off of the living room. 2 level roof top terrace perfect for bbq'ing and drinks after a day of exploring. Thank you to our hosts for having bread, milk, bacon and eggs, orange juice, coffee and wine waiting for us upon arrival. We would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Lagos.

My husband and i loved how close the place was to the waterfront, restaurants and shops. We had been in Lisbon for a week for work so this was a great place to relax. We cooked in the place one night and had all the necessary things. Mary was a great host.

This property has a fun rooftop patio with a view of the neighborhood, the marina and the beach. The owner, Mary, was very accommodating to us, which we appreciated. The home is centrally located and you can walk everywhere from it. It is clean, well stocked, and we enjoyed our time in Lagos. We would recommend this property!

The bus and train station are nearby, ideal for day trips to Silves, Sagres etc. Can’t recommend this enough.

This house was perfect for my 3 daughters (18-22) and me. There was plenty of space to spread out when we wanted to relax and read, nice big table for enjoying meals and kitchen has everything you could possibly need for cooking. It was incredibly nice to have a fridge stocked with everything needed for our first breakfast (plus!), so that I did not have to go find groceries immediately after checking in.
The location is ideal: close to the pedestrian zone with shops, restaurants and all of our activities. We could all walk to surfing, kayaking, boating, SUP tours, even on days that we were going in different directions. This house is located on a quiet street. No noise from restaurants or bars.
We enjoyed our stay here very much.

Lovely location and wonderful view
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this property. If you’re looking for somewhere traditional to stay with great views and close to central Lagos this is the place for you. The main streets are only a minutes walk away. We were only there for four nights so weren’t expecting the lovely welcome pack but thank you Mary it was very gratefully received. The beds are comfortable, showers hot and powerful and the kitchen well equipped. I still can’t believe you’re from our home town!!

Dream location, dream holiday
Simply wonderful. The house is well set up and Mary was very helpful. Beaches, Lidl and town were all in walkable distance : everything virtually on your doorstep. Lagos is a gorgeous place to stay, and the house is in a perfect location to enjoy all its charms. Highly recommended.

Amazing spot in beautiful Lagos!
We had a great stay in Lagos and Mary’s apartment was perfect for our family of four. The apartment was spacious and stylish and the beds were comfortable. We especially loved the rooftop patio for our morning coffee and evening wine... Mary is a wonderful host and had breakfast food, milk, fruit wine and beer at check in which was very generous and quite helpful as we didn’t have to rush out for supplies. I highly recommend this apartment for your stay in Lagos as it’s in the center of town but just up the hill away from any potential noise...
