Petite précision: il y a bien le wifi (excellent) dans cet établissement

Vue très étonnante sur le rio et son activité permanente de bateaux, de lanchas et de barques. Excellent accueil du couplé d'hoteliers toujours prêts à rendre service. Merci à eux.

A perfect stay in Iquitos

Chip was a wonderful host. The check-in was very straightforward, he answered all my questions. Great breakfast, the best breakfast on my trip to Peru. Chip organised my jungle tour, very reasonable price, a small group (4 people), everything was perfect. A highlight of my trip to Peru. Chip organised a shared taxi from the hostel to the airport in the early morning, he checked in persoon that we were ok.

The room has a window into the corridor, the light was on the whole night (I used an eyemask). To be fair, it was in the descriptionon Booking.com, so no owner's fault.

Perfektes Hostel für einen Aufenthalt in Iquitos mit sehr netten Inhabern.

Gutes Hostel, günstig zur Innenstadt gelegen mit Blick auf den Fluss. Zimmer sind zweckmäßig ausgestattet, sehr sauber und mit Klimaanlage. Es ist ruhig. Die beiden Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und extrem hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation in Englisch mit Ihnen war jederzeit einwandfrei. Sie haben uns geholfen Touren in Iquitos zu organisieren und hatten sehr viele Tipps um es preisgünstig zu gestalten. Frühstück kann vor Ort hinzugebucht werden und ist frisch gemacht sowie reichhaltig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Einige Zimmer haben nur ein Fenster zum Gang.

Thanks to Chip, that place is great. Don't come back late at night.

Everything, Chip is a fantastic owner. We had a walk around the block and we explained to me a lot of things, also he brought me to the rooftop for a couple of nice Amazon river shots. The room was comfortable, clean and with a working AC. The breakfast was juicy and had good portions. Free water in the common area, nice and friendly dogs also. If you like, Chip also has a lodge in the jungle to recommend (200 soles day).

Nothing about the property, just the neighborhood. Chip told me to not walk on that road after midnight and instead take a motor taxi. I forget that rule and as a result, I was attacked by 5 people that tried to rob me (they stole my gold necklace - yes my fault again, forgot to remove it - and I felt on the ground during the escape, luckily phone and wallet saved). I got several scratches but Chip helped me with bands and medicines. Thanks Chip 🙏🙏

Exceptional stay

Everything about to say it was excellent. I stayed for one night before going to the jungle, and then booked another two nights when I return because of the great experience. The room is very comfortable and the Wi-Fi was surprisingly fast enough to make video calls and stream video. The room itself has everything you need, including air conditioning and a refrigerator. The shower has hot water and works very well. The river view from the room is magnificent. Hotel staff went above and beyond. Next time I am in Iquitos, I will definitely stay here.

AC was cold, WiFi was fast, room was clean, sheets and towels were clean, front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

There were a lot of loud noises happening in and around the property and it has echoey acoustics, so that disrupted my sleep. But otherwise excellent.

the staff was amazing and super friendly. The AC was heavenly.

There wasn’t a separation between the shower and the bathroom so the whole bathroom got wet after I showered. The bed was really hard. The fan was so loud it sounded like it needed some WD-40 BAD.

Loved this Hostel and Appreciate Yessica

Yessica was the most amazing person for working the front desk. She always made sure my friend and I were well taken care of, gave us recommendations for lunch, and even helped us call a local tour guide we needed to help contacting. Amazing service!

The ACs worked but didn’t get cold enough for me. Otherwise, perfect stay and great value.

Close to main square but quiet in the evenings. Adorable dog and Chip and his wife were nothing but friendly and helpful during my stay. Market in front was disconcerting at first but presented no issues and meant cultural experience right outside front door.

Comfort and safe stay

The owners are very friendly and helpful, making sure everything ok. Even took me to walk around the town centre. Quiet and clean room with air-conditioned and private bathroom.

I bit chaotic at the entrance as it’s a local produces market.

Best part for us was the terrace on top of the building, with the amazing views of the river. And also Chip is a warm hearted guy who really enjoys what he’s doing and you can see the effort he puts into making everyone feel good and enjoy their stay :)

Decent place in a central location with lovely hosts, but priced high for what's offered

The hosts were kind, attentive, knowledgeable and readily available for me, even early in the morning. Chip let me borrow one of his charging blocks when it turned out mine didn't fit the outlets in the room (only 2 prong). The area is a bit hectic, I stayed here after a medicine retreat and I found it too busy for my liking. The room was clean and had a nice view but I had better rooms priced for less on previous stays in Iquitos.

Hauling my bags up two flights of stairs to get to my room was a pain. The lighting in my bathroom could have been better.

Breakfast was organic and no junk food. Which I really appreciate and enjoyed it so much.

Everything was prefect!! Chip and Patricia was very helpful in everything and made me feel like home. I highly recommend this place, and its the best hospitality I ever had to Peru, and will definitely return to Amazon Dream Hostel :)

We upgraded to a river view room and had a wonderful stay. Chip and Yessica are really kind, helpful, and friendly, and did lots to make our stay more comfy. Loved playing with their adorable doggie, Pepita, and drinking tea in the lobby. Convenient location a few blocks from the boardwalk & plaza de armas. Hot showers and a/c were very nice. Recommend!

Breakfast was great....fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and eggs cooked to order. View from room was amazing, and room was quiet...no street noise as it was in my prior hotel in Iquitos. Chip and Yessica were amazing hosts! Would definitely come back!

Best hostel in Iquitos

Best hostel in Iquitos! Chip and Yessica are fantastic hosts. The hostel had everything to keep you comfy if the humidity, air con, good shower and helpful staff. Chip really helped me feel at home while helping me get to my early morning flight the next day for just 20 soles. I highly recommend Amazon Dream hostel!

Amazing views over the river and large clean rooms with AC. The guy running it is American and was super helpful organising an Amazon tour for us at very short notice as well as showing us around the local area. Highly recommend booking your Amazon tour through the hostel, the lodge is lovely with amazing food and we had a very professional and knowledgeable English speaking guide Loved it!

Great host, beautiful view and quiet room

Quiet room especially with the AC on. The room had a beautiful view and the showe was nice and hot. Chip, the host, was nice and showed us around town, arranged a jungle lodge, which we enjoyed, and lend us two long-sleeved shirts for our Jungle stay. Thanks Chip!

We stayed another night after our return from the jungle and stayed in the room above the one from our first night. The view was even nicer but we preferred the first floor above the second because the first floor was more quiet.
