Hosts were amazing and very understanding on our comfort and needs. Changed our room, the reason was not anything to do with them or their establishment, but were very understandable and put us in another suitable room.Breakfast was very good with a great selection, served quickly and humorously by Bernie and deliciously cooked up by Lesley. Location was great, with close proximity to the beach and promenade facilities. Some nice eating places close by.Views exceptional from rooms at front and gardens well kept and tidy. All in all a very nice 4 day stay.
Nothing.

The couple who run this hotel couldn’t be more attentive, it’s also very close to the beach and sea view was stunning.
Nothing! it was just perfect… best breakfast!!!!

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Bernie and Lesley were the perfect hosts informative engaging and sociable. Amenities and proximity of beach excellent, local dining places were pet friendly.

A great place to stay. Especially location wise , we were lucky enough to get the room with a sea view. The shanklin beach is hardly 2 mins away by walk. The morning English breakfast was nice, filing enough till the lunch. Overall a cute , lovely place to spend few nights away from the hustle and bustle of city. Highly recommended.
The toilet flush was leaking

The accommodation was pretty good. The breakfasts were excellent and hot! Well, where hot was required! It was good to have large bath towels. So often, in both b&bs and hotels, these as scrimped on. Barely get your 'bits' covered!
Slight issue with the shower and a tap, in our room. Mentioned it to Bernie and he was going to fix it that day.
The shower was pretty poor, re the pressure and outflow. Having used a similar shower, in another b&b we use, it was disappointing. However, apparently it was to do with a lever on the shower head? The shower basin leaked around one area of the shower screen. Could have had more sockets, as opposed to extension leads. Again, even in some hotels, this can be an issue

Bernie and Lesley were the perfect hosts and run a lovely hotel. The room was lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional. The Curraghmore is in a great location and a short walk from the train station and sea.

The food. The friendliness and cheeriness of the owners and their helpfulness. The decor was bright and cheerful and it was quiet.
I suppose the only fault was the amount of steps inside and outside of property BUT there was a stairlift to the back door.

Full english breakfast was available.
Whole property was dated and needs upgrading. The room and the bathroom were basic. The shower was not working very well. We expected a modern room with all facilities. Furniture was very basic and the doors and drawers were not shutting properly. No fridge in the room. Water not provided. The TV was not positioned correctly and could not be used.

breakfast was good location was also good
was expecting as advertised entertainment and bar which did not exist and being an hotel optional evening meal which was dissapointing which was more a bb than a hotel

Room a bit tired.

Fab location, lovely owners very friendly welcoming,. Lovely clean hotel, good breakfast and excellent prices what more can you ask for, will know where to come again in the future. Thank you teresa and Steve.
Nothing I didn't like, except we did lose our bearings trying to get to the carpark at the back, wasn't sure which was the curraghmore, but that's prob just us being simple.

Really perfect location for Shanklin beach, literally 2 minutes away.
The owners were super lovely and welcoming and friendly.
The room was only cleaned twice during our 5 night stay. We were still in the room one time when she came, we presumed she would come back later but didn’t. It was ok that time as we asked for new towels and coffee mugs and the lovely owner got them straight away. But then again the room wasn’t cleaned for the next 2 nights, even though we were out all day.

The location is fabulous. Friendly hosts and lovely sea view
The property needs much updating and not all of the facilities listed ie iron and hairdryer are in the room but assume by request. Pillows were awful (sorry). Breakfast choices could be improved as could the quality of some of the ingredients.
4.3
Very friendly hosts, gave me some tips as well! I absolutely loved how close it was to the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and cute shops nearby, even a big Lidl. I used the bus to get around and there were plenty of stops nearby, which was another bonus. The room was pretty spacious for one and the garden is nice too.
No takeaway allowed inside the hotel (which is understandable!), which might be an issue for solo travellers like myself.

The owners were very helpful indeed. The Ferry Company moved our ferry time to very early morning. We were allowed to go straight into our rooms and were given a breakfast with no fuss. They could not have been more helpful. East walk to beach and into town (where there is an excellent Italian and also a great tea garden at top of the Chine).
The property decor is a little tired in places.

Bernie and Lesley’s Curraghmore Hotel was exactly what we needed for a weekend away. A family run place with real character and everything you needed (even with C-19 restrictions in place). The breakfast packs a punch, it was such great value for money and getting to know the hosts, one could tell that this was not just a living, but a labour of love. Highly recommended!
