Super Choice for Downtown Austin

Terrific location, fabulous room with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on the river, chic and comfortable seating area, comfortable bed, cool bathroom.

It was a great hotel for singles and college students with dogs, not for families with kids

I like the tacos on the first floor and the pool

The small size of our rooms, our beds, how we didn't use our $60 credit for food and how long I waited just to check out.

Ask the front desk if the AC is working before you check in.

Everything was great except the climate control. That is literally the only thing that matters when it is 107 outside. Thank goodness we only needed one night.

It was 80 degrees in our room. I had to open the door to our room to get cool air from the hallway in order to make it slightly less stifling. The front desk clerk removed the $30 amenity fee from our bill for the heated room. I felt it was a huge fail on the part of the hotel not to even have fans available.

Great place - convenient to everything in Austin 😁

I loved the AG restaurant! Great food!

I have no complaints at all. Aside from not knowing about the $450 hold for “insurance” at the time of check-in. It got taken care of but I didn’t know about that. Aside from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stayed

Incredible, will be booking again for next summer. Austin is the coolest city we have ever been to.

The Hotel was super cool and everyone was so friendly. The staff were incredible especially Bella on the front desk :-)

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, but their lack of knowledge of local restaurants and places to visit was surprising.

"Boutique hotel" doesn't mean you have to do everything in a weird way

The location is super nice, the room was big (but I went for a suite so I guess that's a given), the pool is nice.

The thing is, this hotel doesn't make any sense. For example: they don't serve breakfast - you can order an amazing breakfast to your room, but you can't go down and have breakfast at the restaurant. What? They don't clean your room unless you chase one of the staff and repeatedly ask for your room to be cleaned. They don't have a hotel bar - you can't have a beer or water or anything after 10pm. They kick you out of the pool at 10pm. My delayed baggage arrived at the hotel after 4 days and nobody bothered to tell me that, I mean, what? It sat at the reception for the next 3 days until I left town without taking it. A bizarre hotel. It's almost like they think that because they call themselves a boutique hotel they need to do *everything* in a weird way. I don't know. Marriott next time around I guess.

Would not choose to stay here again. It was fine, but nothing special and for the price of the hotel, did not feel worth

Location was great, right in the middle of everything in Austin. I did like that they cleaned the room every day and made the bed and put new towels.

No bathtub. For the price of the hotel room per night, there should have been a bathtub! If I would have known there was no bathtub, I would not have booked this hotel. King size bed was not that comfortable. The middle of the bed sunk in, causing me and my BF to sleep on opposite sides of the bed. Every time (which was about 3 times) that I called guest services to ask a question, the staff was quite rude. I had an early morning and took a shower at 4am and there was no hot water. I wonder if they turn off the warm water during those early morning hours? Prior to booking this hotel, front desk told me the room upgrade charge was a *one time* fee of $70 - but when I checked my CC after my stay, I had been charged $70/night plus tax for the room upgrade… thankfully they were able to refund me for the miscommunication but overall, staying at the Line didn’t feel worth it to me. I didn’t feel that the money spent was worth the experience.

shower handle was broken, room was freezing and I got sick, it was not possible to shut the air off nor increase temp. I had to call technician the next day but suffered through the night. Wifi was non existent and after many tries the engineer had to give me access to the staff account. I fell critically ill after the trip and am still not recovered. Since I was only there for one night the staff did not get a chance to fix the issues before I checked out. I also blame room assignment as I feel hotels often keep there worst rooms available for third party sites like booking.com.
