The 1st floor encompasses the first guest bedroom and a large open concept for the living room, dining area, and kitchen. The kitchen is perfect for making large family meals. The kitchen is built for a chef, with ample countertop space for meal preparation, huge refrigerator and freezer, and massive propane stove. The large counter space offers plenty of room for extra seating close to the dining area. The living room features a large flat screen tv with a large couch able to accommodate guests while watching their favorite shows or movies. Enjoy sitting in the living, dining area, or kitchen while overlooking the beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico!
The second and third floors entail 6 bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. The bedrooms are all exceptionally large, especially the master suites! This home offers balconies on the front and backyard, whether you want to watch your family and friends play in the pool area, or hang out on the oceanside where you can see South Padre Island's beautiful white sandy beaches. The property is also located within walking distance to local restaurants, entertainment venues, shops and much more!

House was large enough to accommodate our family. The water pressure was very weak on 2nd and 3rd floor. We would definitely rent from SPI again in the future.Being right on the beach at night was very memorable.

The house was wonderfully designed for our family of 6 adults/couples and 2 children. Each of the 7 bedrooms was roomy with comfortable beds and (except for the ground floor bedroom) an attached bath and porch all of which provided a great space for people to get away from the crowd and be on their own. The common space was large and well laid out with enough room for all of us to gather comfortably. There were more enough towels, dishes and cooking items for all of us. The beach views and easy access (right out the back door) made everything so easy and enjoyable. Most importantly, the SPI staff was responsive and friendly when we had any issues or questions.

This place would be above average if it was cleaned properly and maintained. It is dated with worn out cushions and furniture. The kitchen sink is nasty and needs to be cleaned and recocked. The sliding door downstairs was off the glide and didn't open and shut correctly. The showers had black goop that was not cleaned so it was pretty hard to look at. There was still tape stuck to the wood beams on the ceiling from an obvious party. Just did not feel that it was cleaned properly for the amount of money we paid.

The location of this property can't be beat! On the beach with easy access and tons of beautiful views from multiple spots inside and out! The house had everything we needed. You can see where it was built for luxury living with all the high end kitchen amenities
(Such as plate chillers and warming racks) and beautiful design features. Many of these items (staircase patio furniture) are in need of repair or replacement, as they show signs of wear or simply don't work but they really weren't needed. The stove, fridge, microwave, washer, dryer and grill all functioned well. This house was definitely a hit and could be again with some updates! The bedrooms and bathrooms all had good use of space and plenty of room in the kitchen and living areas.
I hope whomever buys it turns it back into the beauty it was but for a week Long Beachfront rental with 14 adults, it was perfect! Will rent again!

This was the first time our family of 20+ was together under one roof. Everyone had their own private quarters, there was immediate access to the beach and pool. The adults and the kids loved the spacious house and no one was on top of each other. The kitchen was perfect for our needs; we cooked every night. The views were absolutely beautiful. Most importantly, the house seemed to be sound proof. We had restful sleep at night even though there was plenty of activity outside.

The place is run down! We had a difficult time locking the patio door on the beach side—lock knob kept falling off. There were no light knobs on the vent of the stove. The faucets in the bottom bathroom kept leaking. The pool had little to no circulation. The place was filthy and not clean at all when we came in. The place needs some tender loving care!!!!! It certainly was not worth the price we paid!!!

The house is perfect for large groups. Does need some updating as there were some pieces missing or broken in the permanent pieces. Couch was very worn. One bathroom.showwr had long hair all over it. It was either not cleaned or not cleaned well enough.

The house is located right on the beach and our family of 20 fit perfectly. only thing I have to say is the grill was very old we grilled on it but it was going to fall apart at anytime, also the pans were old and was hard to cook for our family of 20 with the pans they had there. otherwise very nice house.

This house is structurally nice. Spacious, great location. Prior to booking, I read the reviews and was concerned about the numerous issues previous customers had. So, I have several communications with VRBO and asked them to ensure that the issues identified were addressed. They wrote me that they would be addressed. 2 weeks prior, I messaged and asked if everything was addressed and they assured me again that all issues would be addressed prior to our reservation.
This place is lovely in basic structure. But, there were dozens of problems some of which were:
1) gate security did not work at all.
2) Outer door security did not work. No security at all.
3) numerous door handles were broken. In the master bedroom, a door handle came off in my hand.
4) Light switches were hard to find in some rooms and didn’t make sense in others.
5) had to call Maintenance when the microwave over-heated and shut down.
6) furniture is very well worn. Especially the sofa.
7) outdoor lighting doesn’t work (by pool)
8) unbeknownst to me, the garage apt in front of this house was leased to other people. They had free access to enter the house and had a vantage point to look into our pool and front courtyard area. These people also used our driveway.
9) we had to fix a very noisy bed
10) this house is significantly dated in electronics, Wi-Fi is poor.
11) under-furnished
12) kitchen is under-furnished with old-ish kitchen-ware items.
13) thermostat on 3rd floor is hard to find.
14) patio furnishing is a disaster. Missing cushions on old furniture.
15) Master bedroom is big but sparsely furnished. No nightstands or lamps/light at the bed.
16) dining table shows seating for 8, but there were only 6 chairs.
17) master shower seemed moldy. Steam worked but smelled old.
18) air conditioner for the ground floor had to be fixed by the maintenance team.
I could continue, but how to review a place like this? 7 bedrooms isn’t easy to find. This place is huge and has great potential if the owner gave it a small amount of attention. It is my understanding that this house is for sale.

Very Unhappy Renter
We had asked for an early check in due to an event we were hosting, we were denied the check in, understandably, however, when we did go in at 4 we were not able to take the house until 5:30pm. Upon our arrival, the gate does not work, the garage doors do not work, the locks in the house are not locking, there are hinges missing from doors. The staff was on site when I was having these problems and was told that was the best they could do. They were working on a bathroom upstairs and leave it undone for our use. We were at the end of the stay and ask for a late check out in order to get final preparations done, and we were denied. In the middle of the night the doors upstairs would open and you would have to get up and find a way to close them since the hinges were off the doors. Unreal. I have stayed in many places on the island for different events, this and VACASA take the case in disapointments.

Huge house with lots of great features, but…
We wanted a large house on the beach with a pool to accommodate our large and extended family for a memorial celebration weekend for beloved family we just lost over the past year.
Upon arrival, we quickly noticed the third floor was very hot. We called maintenance and they came right away to address the issue. Note that each floor has its own thermostat and the 3rd floor T-stat is located behind the door of the guest BR (not the Master). It was turned Off. The AC was very good throughout the house—a real plus because of the humidity and heat.
The pool was cloudy on arrival and the cushions on the poolside furniture were mildewed and dirty. Maintenance addressed that right away and confirmed that the pool was serviced earlier in the day and chemicals were added, telling us “it should clear up in a few hours.” They removed all the pool furniture cushions to take them away and clean them. We were told they would bring them back the next morning but we never saw them again. Although it is a very small pool, the small children really enjoyed it. The pool patio floor was extremely dirty and we didn't want to track that into the house so we spent about an hour washing down the patio to clean it. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. After we cleaned it, it was a really nice outdoor space to enjoy.
The kitchen has some really high end appliances. A very spacious refrigerator, a 6 burner range with two ovens. That was very nice for cooking—although the vent hood doesn't work at all. There is also a warmer drawer but it doesn't work. And a separate small freezer that doesn't work either. Dishes, cups, glasses, flatware, and cooking utensils were all plentiful for our large group. The large kitchen bar with lots of barstools was also very useful and a great feature. We loved how big the space in this area was to accommodate all of us. The biggest negative issue we encountered was the floors downstairs—they were really dirty. I don't mean just sandy (which is hard to keep out of the house because there are no floor mats to be able to wipe feet). We left all shoes at the door and quickly noticed that the bottom of everyone's feet were black. I did advise management that they really needed to clean those floors on the ground floor. They were terribly dirty.
This house has plenty of space with seven large bedrooms and each with it's own bath! Each BR was spacious with comfortable bedding. All the bathrooms had showers which was great—except one bath on the 3rd floor had an old jetted tub with tiles falling away. It was an effort to get into it and even though there was a shower head, there is no glass or curtain and it would have made a terrible mess to attempt a shower. We had to let those in that room shower in the master room down the hall.
Overall, this house was great bones, beautiful woodwork, lots of travertine, and expensive finishes. It is just showing significant wear and tear that isn't being remedied or maintained. The pluses definitely outweighed the negatives and to be fair, the management company was very responsive and attempted to address everything we called about. None of these issues took away from our wonderful weekend in SPI.

Above and Beyond
The pictures online do no do this beautiful place justice. The views of the ocean, to the comfort of the beds. The entire stay was great.
We had a few issues that arouse during our stay that where addressed by SPI in less than an hour. We will definitely stay here again next time we come on the island.

Impressively large townhouse, beautiful gulf views, maintenance issues
This townhouse has the potential to be truly luxurious. The accommodations and provisions are more than adequate with large rooms, high quality wood workings, cabinets, floorings and bathrooms for every bedroom along with a well appointed kitchen. The outdoor patios and balconies are also large w plenty of outdoor furniture to relax, enjoy the views and entertain. Unfortunately there are issues that prevent a 4-5 stars rating, issues which could quickly be remediated: security is problematic-the entrance security gate's lock was taped with electric tape to prevent it from locking because if it locked you couldn't get out. Almost every exterior door had opening, closing, locking or unlocking problems. The maintenance staff were not able to rectify any of the security locks for various reasons. Wear and tear throughout - the floors which I'm sure at one time were beautiful travertine and wood are now damaged or badly scratched both in and outside. All the cushions for the inside stools and chairs and outside furniture are now very soiled and shabby looking. The rails along the patio and balconies need attention for safety reasons. The townhouse next door needs its own gate to the beach instead of constantly coming thru this rental unit and the pooling of water on the patio from next door's water hose needs fixing. The pool is not heated as stated. There were impressively large flower pots in all the patio areas - filled with debris and the path along the gulf side rail was laden with cigarette butts and debris.
We would love to come back to this place but only if it's at a fraction of the rental charged now or if the maintenance issues are resolved to make this place a special vacation home with an ambience of luxury.

The residence was spacious, plenty of bedrooms for our group of 16 and the location on the beach was perfect. Access to the beach was easy and great for allowing the children in our group to go from house to beach. The kitchen/dining area was spacious and inviting for gatherings.
Possible suggestions: dust mops as easy to track sand onto the first floor, rugs outside each door to minimize sand and a better stocked kitchen. We ended up purchasing some of the things we needed for meal prep such as as can opener, cooking utensils. Also would have helped to know if the pool was heated and if so, instructions for doing so.
Overall: it was a great setting for a wonderful family gathering and we would gladly return.

Nice property spacious and comfortable in a great beachfront location. A little wear and tear .
Family of 15 had a great time, comfortable and plenty of room for everyone. Prepared family meals with ease and enjoyed the beachfront location. Ask about the "trick" for locking doors that was our biggest issue. Also had a Yeti Cooler stolen off patio but that was no fault of the property or management.

Perfect for Us!
We had 17 staying at the house - including our adult children and our grandkids - from ages 4 to 78. The best feature was that the house is on the beach making it very convenient for everyone to go there whenever they wanted. There was a bunch of swimming stuff available - a beach tent, boards, etc. We left a couple bags of sand toys, too. Overall the house was very nice in that each family had their own bedroom with bath. The main area is somewhat worn in appearance - but provided adequate space for eating meals, crafting, putting a puzzle together, etc. Lots of TVs in the house. There were 6 parking spaces which was what we needed. SPI management was very responsive - when one TV remote did not work they sent someone over within an hour. The stove (mentioned in other's recent reviews) was fixed. We had a family vacation that we will always fondly remember.

This property was not as advertised. It has not been maintained. At one time, it was probably an amazing property. However, when we arrived with 17 people, we discovered that the refrigerator and stove did not work. A replacement fridge was onsite, but it was very small and did not accommodate our group. We had to purchase small coolers to keep minimal food and drinks in the house. This was disappointing because we were not able to cook meals. Many of the outside doors did not lock. The outside furniture was very weathered and stained. There were two grills, but one did not work and one had no propane. The beach shower was not able to be used.
All that being said, the location was perfect. The bedrooms were spacious and very nice.
SPI Rentals was VERY responsive and tried to help with the situation, but could not fix the appliance and lock issues. We discovered this was an ongoing issue with this property. It appears this is an owner issue, not the rental company.
SPI Rentals were aware of our disappointment and went above and beyond to help!

property faults
grounds not clean at pool area on arrival, no stove for use ,dining table had 3 chairs[they brought others looked like they picked up on side of the road] advertised to host 20 people, pool shower area is a dump site for old patio furniture and an a/c unit thats not used. nice big refrigerator that doesnt work they did provide a small refrigerator to use. bring fans a/c units have trouble keeping the house 72 degrees .Not enough rugs at the exterior doors for wiping off the sand . could use a new water hose looked like they drug this one out the neighbors trash. this is a nice house if everything worked, house isnt worth what you pay for it

Overall great experience
13 friends recently visited this property. Very spacious for everyone. The location is right on the beach which was amazing. 7 bedrooms each with their own bathroom was a bonus. The pool was not heated so we were not able to use that much. There were a couple issues, the freezer did not work, there was a toilet that had issues, a few exterior doors would not lock. Otherwise overall great experience.

Renter BEWARE !
1. As soon as you drive to property, trash can full and over flowing with trash, trash on the ground all around the trash container.
2. Security gate broken, no code required to access the property,
3. Dirty pool, dirty pool grounds, dirty, nasty, moldy patio furniture
4. Don’t need a key to get inside, most of doors do not lock or broken door locks
5. The rental looks clean when you walk in, but look careful, sand on the couch, dusty all over, sand all around corners and under island
6. All this happened while I was checking in at the main office, the rest of my family was already at the property and inside the building, calling me and sending me pictures of all of the above issue stated.
7. Some TV did not work, code for internet was not working and several other issues with the technology

16. ONLY one set of bathroom towels in this main bathroom, look like of very low quality.
17. Called several times to SPI phone #, no one answered, answering machine mailbox doesn’t work.
18. Called to get a broom so I could sweep the patio around the pool and inside the rental, broom delivery took a day and a half.
19. Called for maintenance on all the above
20. Clearly no inspection on this property is being conducted, after supposedly cleaning personnel is done or maintenance personnel are done.

Great trip except for a few set backs.
There was a group of 13 that stayed in this house for a work retreat. Upon arrival we were disappointed in the size and cleanliness of the pool. (Pictures make it seem MUCH larger). It took a few calls to the office to have someone come clean it. An Amazing thing about this house is that every room has a bathroom!!! The house is very spacious and fit all of us comfortably but, the floors and counters looked a bit dirty. I understand it is on the beach so sand is kind of inevitable but, first walking into your VRBO you expect cleanliness. Some rooms have poor ventilation- some people were very HOT while other people on the same floor were cold.
Other than that it was a great trip! We are grateful for the stay. Thank you.

Nice house big and setup to host 20+ guests. Starting show wear in parts but excellent house for large Gorup's. SPI rentals very responsive to issues on first day with AC but pool is an issue for Northside. No hot tub and pool controls and pump run off Southside pool. Pool Water doesn't circulate well so pool always dirty.

Great place. Amazing location. Needs a lot of maintenance.
Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. The house is in a great location on the beach, which makes it easy to come/go from the ocean. It’s also a large home and I could see how families could meet here and have room. We were only five people and it was nice.
There were hiccups, though. Some of the other reviews are accurate about maintenance issues. Now - this isn’t about the management of the place as they were responsive to our requests. However, there are some serious security issues that need to be resolved, including that the back doors do not lock. In fact, none of the exterior patio doors lock. The bottom floor is right on the beach which makes it a little unnerving. We called that in and they were aware of the issue but it’s been ongoing and they needed the parts.
Other issues include the pool doesn’t filter or run consistently. With as many different people that stay here that’s an issue of personal hygiene. The stove vent doesn’t work, there are many missing lights and burned out bulbs. The coffee machine didn’t work. And the garage door broke during our stay as well.
Given all of that, the house is nice and just needs some attention. It was disappointing to arrive and not see a pool table even though it’s on the listing. Little things but they add up. With some attention the home would be easily worth the nightly rate. SPI did their best to help us out and were very responsive. Kudos to them.

House was amazing!! SPI Rentals staff was amazing! It was our first time to South Padre and everything was great. The house is big and beautiful. Had an issue with the gate lock and SPI Rentals had a staff member out to fix it pretty quickly. From my first phone call to handing back the keys on our way back home, everyone was attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back to this island and will use this company again.

Large Home great for groups!
The giant spiral staircase leads to an Amazing 3rd floor Master Suite that has a massive steam shower and incredible Ocean Views. We had seven couples in this house and each had their own privacy and bathroom with exception of the main floor bedroom. The open kitchen living room area was great for group hangout and cooking meals! The location and beach access are excellent. The only complaint is that the doors and blinds in the second and third floor bedrooms do not work well and should be replaced or repaired.

Almost perfect, but....
The property is in a fabulous location. The shower in the master suite was awesome! However, for what I paid I did expect a better attention to detail. There were no trash cans on the second or third floors. The pool lights were not working (I looked for the switch all over the patio and garage), the AC unit was not cooling properly on the second floor, the back patio door did not lock, the shower in the mother in law suite only trickled water, limited amount of towels (we had to wash towels daily and brought our own beach towels as advised) and several of the blinds could not be raised. I put in a work order and we were assured that someone would be there. No one came. Except for the AC issue, one could say that these were minor inconveniences. However, one pays more (as I did) to avoid these things.
