Thank you for a wonderful stay. The house was perfect, the hosts were so accommodating. My son graduated from UAlbany, a 12 minute drive from the house. We had perfect weekend, house is close to restaurants and the market. I would definitely stay again !

Kim was wonderful to work with from the booking process to check out. Our family of four loved the house and the space outside. The chickens were a huge hit!

Clean, comfortable, welcoming, spacious, perfect. My two sisters, my husband and I came together from different parts of the state and country to celebrate my mother‘s 84th birthday. While my mother did not stay overnight, she spent each day with us, and we were able to enjoy the house and surroundings completely. We were able to cook as a group and enjoyed many meals together. we spent a lot of time going through photos from our past and remembering other together occasions. We had a very nice time. Thank you so much.

Stayed here for two nights with our daughters and my two sisters. The house was very comfortable, clean and a great pleasure to stay in. The first night our landlord knocked on the door and offered a freshly backed tray of scones. What a beautiful touch.

This amazing home is perfect for a family looking to visit a student at RPI. We were coming in for Family Weekend and the hotels gouged their prices. We looked at this house because it was big enough for our family but also welcomed our dogs. Our son was thrilled to be "home" with the dogs. This house feels like home. It's clean and the kitchen is stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The yard and porches are gorgeous. The beds and pillows are so comfortable. There are extra blankets and throws to curl up in and watch a movie at night in the family room. We cooked and made an apple pie. We left one for Mike & Kim as a thank you. They left us incredible home made goodies in the table for our arrival. The home is about 20 min from RPI and my son was thrilled to be off campus and felt so comfortable here that we spent most of the weekend here playing games and hanging out. The house is in a beautiful and safe area. You will fall in love with this house. It's perfect!

Mike & Kim are fantastic hosts that match the beautiful property. The place is peaceful, from the house furnishing that make it feel homey and comforting to the serene backyard. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you would need, same with the bathrooms. We only wish we had more time to stay and take in all Grey Gables has to offer. Staying here is a great value, especially in proportion to the quality of facilities.

We spent two weeks in the capital region, and this home was perfect for us. It's located on a quiet road, with a beautiful treed lot. Huge backyard with tables and chairs and a grill. Gorgeous Victorian house that is impeccably clean. Lots of space, bedrooms are private, and streaming TV's in each. Kim and Mike are very welcoming and friendly. 40 minutes from Saratoga, and about 75 minutes from the heart of the Adirondack region. We loved it!

This was the perfect spot for our weekend away. When we first pulled in, it was dark but the home was lit up from the inside and had beauitful uplighting on the house's exterior detail, drawing us into the coziness of the home. Everything was nicely-decorated and felt homey. The AC doesn't work great on the 2nd floor, but they have ceiling fans in each room that kept us nice and cool. We have already booked for next year!

We were blessed to stay here for a week while visiting family. Kim and Mike were exceptional hosts enchanting our grandchild with their knowledge of gardening, chickens, and backyard animals. The house itself is comfortably furnished with many extras ( spices! foil and saran wrap! games! books!) provided. There are lively putdoor sitting areas on the front pirch and in the backyard. You are minutes from a bike trail, hiking at Thatcher or Five Rivers and so much more. We will be back!

I rented this property to have a place to have a few friends that I hadn't seen in many many years, one-on-one in a warm intimate atmosphere. The ambience and well-equipped kitchen were perfect. The property and surrounding areas are beautiful and access from greater Albany area is terrific. I did a fair bit of cooking and appreciated having a really nice grocery only a couple of minutes away. Couldn't imagine a better place to use as a home base for reconnecting with beloved friends. Thank you Mike and Kim!

We were so happy with our week long stay at Grey Gables . The house and grounds are lovely, homey, and very well equipped. It was the perfect spot to stay while visiting the area with our twin baby granddaughters and their parents; the girls especially enjoyed the backyard chickens, birds , and woodsy trails. Kim and Mike have created a wonderful “home away from home” for their guests!

This property was stunning immaculate and well appointed. The communication with the owners was superb and the whole process was easy. The property is historic and every room a joy. The location is great a few miles from Albany. Overall would definitely recommend

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The property was in nice condition. The only issue we had concerned the TVs - they are streaming only, and we could access only a couple of local channels (no CNN or other channels typically available on cable). A garbage disposal would have been nice, although the lack of one wasn't a critical issue.

We LOVED this property. Everything was beautiful, the gardens, the yard, the screened-in porch. We really enjoyed our stay and are already planning a trip for next year!

The house and property at Grey Gables is exceptional and Kim and Mike were so welcoming. They were so helpful and kind and went above and beyond when there was a booking snafu. Kim even let me walk through her side of the house when my old greyhound decided he couldn’t walk up the front stairs one morning. Wonderful property and people.

House, Hosts and Property were extraordinary for both man and beasts! Multiple indoor/outdoor socializing areas. Well stocked cooking/food prep kitchen just needs a few more teaspoons! Extended dining room table sat 8 (houseguests and locals) comfortably. Newer upgrades not shown in pics include additional seating on screened porch and staircase carpeting that was much appreciated by our dogs. So enjoyable we're looking for new reasons to return! Thank you Kim and MIke!

Beautiful from the front yard to the front porch, the whole house, the back porch, and the gorgeous backyard. Quiet and beautifully appointed house with everything needed for our 5-day stay.

We had a 10 day stay at Grey Gables for a wedding, a graduation and lots of family time. The location was perfect, as it was close to our son's apartment. The well used rail trail that is a short walk from the property is such a nice perk and was built after we moved away from NY. The directions on staying at the house are stellar. We will definitely stay there when we return to NY. Thank you Kim and Mike for being such great hosts!

We loved our time at Grey Gables. The house is well taken care of with lovely furnishings and decor. It is very convenient to visit Union College (25 mins) which we did daily to watch our daughter perform in the winter dance concert. The hosts are extremely helpful and checking in was easy. The beds are very comfortable and everything is very clean. We are looking forward to visiting again when we can take advantage of the close proximity to the walking trails and secluded backyard and closed in porch.

Myself, partner and three of our closest friends spent a most wonderful weekend in this charming and uniquely and beautifully decorated house. The front porch is so inviting with lush hanging ferns adorning the front of the house It was such a pleasant experience sitting there early morning and being serenaded by the different birds in the area. The house had everything we needed to prepare our meals and the living room was very comfortable and with Roku, Netflix and Amazon prime, we were thoroughly entertained In every corner of the house there was artwork and eye catching decorations with specific themes that created an appealing ambience. My particular favorite was the bicycle room which had such a clever design and a Parisien feel. The backyard was a spacious and serene hideaway shaded by magnificent trees, home to flying squirrels, owls and beautiful birds. Kim and Mike could not have been more gracious and personable hosts and were very welcoming The beds were very comfortable and we all felt this was a very special house. The area is very scenic and the tree arboretum nearby was a lovely place to discover and enjoy the variety of trees in the area. We can t wait to return to this most pleasurable sojourn. We loved everything about this house. The decor, the comfortable furniture, the location and the cleanliness. This 100+ year old home has all the modern amenities with the charm of a well-built older home. The owners are friendly and make you feel more like a friends than renters, offering the use of their yard and gardens. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the ac cranks! The location is perfect for trips to Albany and the immediate area is quiet and suburban/rural. There are trails and parks near by and great restaurants. Try the Wren and Rail. (Not an elegant looking food truck restaurants but food is great!)

First, let me start out by saying that Kim and Mike, the owners of the property, are wonderful, friendly and genuine people. And they are dog lovers! My wife and I, and our 13 year old Australian cattle dog (who got along well with their two dogs, Peanut and Token) enjoyed the beautifully decorated Victorian style house. The kitchen was well supplied with skillets, pots and pans, and utensils for those, like us, who enjoy cooking. The bedrooms were creatively decorated and comfortable. We relaxed in the enclosed back porch and in their gorgeous backyard. Kim and Steve have a vegetable and herb garden and so generously offered us any herbs we might need in cooking our meals. We would definitely go back again.

The house is gorgeous, woodwork beautiful. Beds very comfortable. We didn't get to enjoy the screened-in porch much because it was a bit chilly, but that's October for you. The hosts made sure we had everything we needed, and instructions on how everything worked. Definitely will be back!

We stayed three nights but its so comfortable it would be a great location for longer stays. Clean and very comfortable, you can see the love and pride put into the LARGE property. We took a couple of day trips and this area is perfect. Stay here.

Wish we could have enjoyed the full experience of the place, but we had such a full weekend in Cooperstown for the MLB Hall of Fame Induction Weekend. We spent limited time at the house, but the beds were comfortable and our hosts were fantastic.

Grey Gables is a very special home, lovingly maintained by owners Mike and Kim. The house was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. It was impeccably decorated, and thoughtfully appointed. The gardens and neighborhood are are beautiful. Mike and Kim couldn't have been friendlier or nicer to deal with. We loved every minute we spent there, and if we are ever in the area in the future, will rent this home again.
