Our family of 9 found our vacation dwelling comfy and charming. Bedrooms and bathrooms on each floor gave the feel of a private suite for each family group. A quaint outside area to read and relax was enjoyed by everyone. No problem with plenty of street parking! Easy walk to coffee, food, shops and the sights. The owner was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions. We enjoyed our stay in this cozy Philly home!

The property is located across the street from a park. The neighborhood is quiet. The house was clean and bedding and towels and shampoo, conditioner AMD body was was provided. The house was spacious. It's 4 levels inside. The first floor is the living quarters with a large living room, kitchen and dining room. Has a nice little outdoor space. The other 3 floors all had a spacious bedroom and bathroom suite which was really nice for privacy. The host was awesome with communication and was very responsive. It is a beautiful home with old character.

We were celebrating my 60th birthday and the house was perfect and had everything we needed! The park was a plus! We would love to again!
We could not figure out the tv in the living room even with the instructions and a few of the extra comforters had stains on them. Those are the only negative comments we have…loved it!!

The owners were very responsive to the incorrect keypad code that was sent in the welcome email along with sending a handyman to try and fix the AC that was faulty. Unfortunately the unit was not ready for our visit as we had to open all AC vents to try and cool the home which was 82 degrees upon arrival. Tough environment for a family of 6 when it was in the mid-90’s.
There was also wet sheets in the washer and a load of towels in the dryer we had to move but that wasn’t a big deal. The cable system also did not work. The home overall was nice and would recommend it as long as the HVAC system is corrected and there is better preparation of the property for upcoming guests. The owners did graciously extend a small refund for the challenges mentioned above which was appreciated.

Girls trip to Philly was made even more special by staying at this property. Central location, great neighborhood. It was cold so we took Lyft or Uber most of the time, however in warmer, less rainy weather could have easily walked to restaurants and bars.
Checking in and out was easy and Kevin was quick to respond to my questions.
Would highly recommend this property to my friends and family.

Pros:
Close to great donuts, coffee, cheesesteaks, and other food
Having the park across the street is fabulous for kids and dog
Lots of space to sleep, relax, and get ready
Communication was great
Cons:
The area rugs and bathroom rugs need cleaned, replaced, or just taken out
The washer and drier need replaced. The washer has a spot that the socks got stuck in and the drier doesn’t dry great.
For me the wall plug ins made the house smell worse and were way to strong
The beds are ok but could also be replaced soon. The frames are starting to break
The biggest con was parking. We were there for four days and never once were able to park in front of the building. We always had to park at least a block away. This wasn’t really too big of a deal except the night we got there and needed to unpack 4 kids, a dog, and all of our stuff.
Overall though the cons are minor things that could just make the place that much better. I’d definitely stay again because the pros outweigh the cons easily.

We spent a week in this lovely 3 story home.
Close to the historic sites, with easy parking found out front
Lots of steep steps inside, so a little difficult for my 83 year old dad, but we loved the character of the home and neighborhood.

We had a great 2 night stay in Philadelphia at this rental. Everything was as advertised. Parking was never an issue, coffee was excellent just around the corner at Herman’s and location was good for getting around town. The home was nice & clean too. As other people have previously noted, there are a lot of narrow, noisy stairs, but that didn’t trouble us. (2 adults, 2 teens)

We loved our stay! House is clean, well-kept, spacious, and comfortable. Quiet area, with bus pick up on the corner. We loved having a bath w each BR, plus laundry. Stairs are a bit steep, but it’s a very old home. Only suggestions: kitchen needs teaspoons, a few light bulbs need replaced, some floor nails sticking up. A unique place to stay, updated and a great price for all the space in the city! Loved our vacation in Philadelphia. Thank you =)

Great First Time Philly Experience
Great location. Bus pick up spot right next to the house with east access to Philly PHLASH and other public transportation options. Herman’s Coffee right down the street and legendary Geno’s Philly Cheesesteak within walking distance.

Really cool row house
Yes, the stairs. My kids loved going up and down all 29 (yes my daughter counted) and mine are 7 and 3 years ild. Just don’t come here to recover from knee surgery.
But this place was so great, absolutely would stay again. Full bathrooms for each bedroom was a luxury, and they were very nicely done. Thoughtful amenities throughout, if I had to give a constructive criticism it would be basic staples in the kitchen (we cook a lot). The location is great, close but not in the chaos of the city, and my kids loved the park. We didn’t have any trouble parking right in front, although advanced parallel parking skills are required sometimes. Communication with the owners was easy and they were responsive. Philly was such a great part of our trip, and this house was super cool!

Great property
Great property. I am a vrbo owner myself, so I am very picky. We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean, having 3 1/2 baths is unheard of in Philly. The outdoor space was very nice for entertaining. I did a lot of cooking, and the kitchen was well equipped for that. The owner was very responsive. We will be back.

Beautiful row house - you won't be disappointed.
The house was exactly as pictured and listed. Check in process was very simple and communication with the owners was great. We were with in walking distance to lots of places and were able to Uber Eats and Door Dash dinners. Across the street is a pretty little park.
A few things to note, but IN NO WAY negative. Since this is a row house that has been renovated. There are still original structural features in the house. The steps are narrow and are not as deep as "modern" steps. Be prepared to "duck walk" up and down them and wear shoes so you don't slip!
As mentioned in the listing, you may have to park up the road a little if you are getting there after 6pm. That was not an issue for us at all, as we enjoyed walking and looking at the beautiful streets. Please know, that where ever you park, you have to parallel park. The streets are narrow and we were in a mini van, which made it more difficult to park.

We stayed her during a conference, and everyone loved it. The house felt very home-y and everyone was comfortable where they slept! Definitely would recommend!!

Great Host with great communication and responsiveness
Property was just as advertised, in a good location adjacent to Jefferson Park and a short Lyft ride to downtown. Kevin was quick to respond to the few small issues we encountered and took good care of us. There is one restaurant, bar, and coffee shop just around the corner, but other options are a 15-20 minute walk away.
Keep in mind all bedrooms are upstairs, but each has a private bath and there is a half bath on the ground floor.
Quiet neighborhood. We would stay here again. Check it out.

Great place in a great location
Absolutely as advertised! Walking distance to numerous restaurants and pubs; convenient to South Street as well.
One note: this is an older property (though updated throughout) and the stairs are rather narrow. Be careful on them.
Definitely recommend!

Great Philly location
My family of 5 stayed here recently during the Philadelphia portion of our family summer vacation. The house is located in a nice area and is in easy walking distance to most of the sites we went to. We did use our car a couple times to get around. We were able to find street parking right outside the house without a problem. I would say if you were to arrive by car in the later portion of the evening, you might have to park a block or two away.
There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby and theirs a Target nearby if you need some groceries.
The house was clean and comfortable. There was enough room for everyone. Each room has its own bathroom.
Like all the houses around there, it’s narrow and tall. There are a lot of stairs. It was no problem for us, but if you have people in your group who have trouble with stairs, you might consider another location. For anyone else, though, I highly recommend this property.

A true gem located in the most quiet/safe neighborhood in Philly
Kevin was an amazing host during our stay. Always made sure that we had everything we needed from his place and very quick to respond to any concerns/questions we had during our stay. Our friends and family along with our dogs came to visit for a wedding weekend and we all had a great time! Not only it is conveniently close to all the popular restaurants that South Philly has to offer (within walking distance) but the park right in front of his place was incredibly clean and convenient for our dogs, even during late hours! Parking was super easy to find. Great neighborhood down in south Philly and very safe. Would highly recommend, just be sure to respect the quiet hours in his neighborhood. Thanks again for having us Kevin!

this property was really quite nice - each bedroom and bathroom were on a separate floor, so there was plenty of space. It faces a lovely park - and while we were staying there, an improptu jazz concert happened. Cool feel to the whole area. would definitely recommend it and would stay here again

6.0 / 10.0
A little misleading for large group.
Overall our experience as a family of 14 adults was fair. I feel as though the description of the home makes it appealing for a large group of people. Sleeping situations were really not ideal for longer than a night stay with a large group of adults. Truly there are only 4 actual beds in the house. 5 if you count the pull out couch in the living room. The rest of the sleeping for remaining 6 adults were on 3 inch foam foldable mattresses.
NOT IDEAL FOR LARGE ADULTS.
The location of the apartment was great and the parking was always ample.
We did feel as though the apartment could have been a little cleaner. Sheets and pillowcases definitely didn’t look clean, had stains on them.
One of the kitchen cabinets was broken as well as the house did not have silverware for 14 people. We were short spoons/forks.
The biggest issue on our two day stay was the plumbing. 2nd floor shower backed up after the first shower. Tried to plunge- shower drain was full of hair but water still didn’t drain so we were out one shower for the weekend.
The toilet on the third floor was also backed up. On our second day was no longer useable. A house full of 14 adults with only 2 working toilets and 2 showers was a little chaotic. Hopefully the owner can figure this issue out.
Overall we were just not pleased with the cleanliness or misleading description of the apartment.
For a small group of 2-6 people this apartment would be great! Def not 14 adults.

Classmates visit to Philly
We were quite pleased with the house and the ease of parking. We did have difficulty getting the TV to wor, but the property manager resolved the issue. It would be helpful to have a channel guide. Also, we didn't realize there was recycling untill we took the garbage out on our last day. Our only complaint was the beds on the first and third floors were VERY uncomfortable.

great location, easy access to bus lines, comfortable living
Our family of 6 retirees thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Philadelphia. The three levels of sleeping allowed for quiet and privacy for people with different sleep habits, and the living room was perfect for a glass of wine before walking to dinner at one of the neighborhood restaurants. The kitchen was clean and provided all we needed. It was nice to find coffee on hand for our first morning. The busses at the near by stop run about every 20 minutes, and it is less than 15 minutes to Market Street and Independence Hall. We would certainly stay here again if we were to meet in Philadelphia.

Perfect for 3 generation week in Philadelphia
Kevin’s listing description was spot on. Everything we needed was there, the townhouse was very clean and Kevin was always available for a minor question or two. We used Lyft/Uber to get everywhere we had to go, with the exception of a drive to Atlantic City so the grandchildren could swim in the Atlantic. We will certainly book again when in the mood for a Pat’s cheesesteak..
