The photos nor the description do this place justice. It was so beautiful and perfectly historic accommodation. We really felt we were embedded in Hobart and it's history. You need to include a photo of it's external look!
It is in the city centre which meant we could walk to so many wonderful places. Whilst large enough for our group, it was still cosy and all the essential amenities were provided. It was seriously luxurious.
The hosts were excellent, responsive and helpful. Thank you!

Davey House was perfect for our group of four galpals - three from overseas as it was their first trip to Oz and Tasmania + Hobart. The house had everything we needed from the kitchen to the bedrooms - it is exactly as noted in the description with terrific and timely communication from the owner.
As noted and only a downside if stairs are hard for your party - the house is indeed a four-storey Georgian semi and you will need to go up or down to the bathroom from the 2 main bedrooms!
Also do watch the parking limit signs around the house - we found it easy to move our rental car, and as we were staying over a weekend, it was free parking the majority of our stay.
Finally - you can't beat the house's location - all walking distance to the docks, Salamanca, Battery Point and major galleries, museums, and restaurants. Highly recommend Davey House for a lovely and atmospheric stay in a truly gorgeous and unique city.

Brilliant location and the property was perfect for a large group. The house is a short walk from everything in Hobart including the bus pickup spot for all tours.

Davey House is walking distance to all the main tourist spots which made it the perfect place for our weekend away. The kitchen was really well stocked and the living room was a comfy space to hang out in. We loved our weekend in the Davey House.

The house was very comfortable. The kitchen was well fitted out, the bedrooms spacious and it was spotless. It is an historic home, and so there are a few "quirks" about the house, which we loved, though the stairs may be an issue for less mobile people. We stayed as a girls' weekend, and the rooms all converted to single beds, which was very flexible. The location is a short walk to everything we wanted to do/see in Hobart. The host, Clare, was excellent with her communication, and accommodated both and early check in and late check out. We definitely would stay here again, and recommend to others.

An overall excellent property. Perfect location with a short walk to Salamanca, historic Battery Point, and the Hobart CBD (less than 10min for each).
Easily accomodates a large group over it's 4 levels, the kitchen is extremely well appointed and usable. The living area is great with everything you need to entertain for a night in.
We stayed here for our wedding accommodation, and it was perfect. We will highly recommend to any large group, and will look at staying here in the future.
Thank you Clare for your great corrospdance and accomodation.

Excellent accommodation close to everything
My husband, two children (11 and 13 yrs) and I had a lovely time in this town house opposite Davey Park. Davey House was clean, comfortable and fitted out with everything we needed to make it an enjoyable stay. We especially appreciated the little touches such as luxury towels, linen and bathroom toiletries. The short walks to Salamanca and Battery Point made this an ideal location.

Beautiful touches and great location
Fantastic stay. Amazing location, helpful host and all the amenities required, extremely clean and comfortable. Great common areas for our group and safe house.
Only negative was a few of the beds were a bit small for adults but fine for what we needed.
Thanks for the stay!

We had everything we needed to make ourselves a beautiful Christmas lunch with produce sourced locally from Salamanca. Everything was within walking distance and the house was just devine, we really didn’t want to leave!

Hobart Stay
Family of 5 had a fantastic few days in Hobart. Davey st was a great property in a fantastic location. Clare was a great host and always responded immediately. Only blemish was lack of hot water the first night but Clare's responsiveness in answering our concerns and getting a electrician onto site first thing in morning to fix the issue meant we were happy to give the stay a 5 star rating.

Girls weekend Hobart
Fabulous location next to the Salamanca Markets short walk to ferry and fabulous restaurants. Beautifully decorated with antiques very cosy. Old house so noisy floors in kitchen and lots of stairs to bathrooms etc. Wifi not great and we were not great at working out TV etc but we were not there for the TV.

Perfect for our Festival of Voices Trip
We were a group of 8 women from a community choir in Victoria and wanted accommodation where we could all stay together. Davey House was perfect and met our needs. We loved the tasteful furnishings, well fitted out kitchen, very comfy beds, quality linen and attention to detail in all aspects. The location is fabulous and great to walk to all attractions in the CBD and around the harbour.
The owner Clare was very easy to deal with and gave us detailed instructions about the property. She kindly let us have an early check in and late check out which helped us tie in with our flights.
A good thing to note is that the bathrooms and toilet are up or down flights of narrow stairs, so if you have mobility issues this would be a problem.
Thank you Clare

Gorgeous house in a wonderful location.
After staying in battery point pre 14 of us doing the three capes walk - we wondered how it would be staying closer to the “main town” it was fabulous. Convenient for Salamanca, harbour, MONA Roma and restaurants (many back in battery point!).
Davey house really had everything - the grown ups and younger children who stayed there (the 4 older offspring were in hotel around the corner) were so beautifully catered for in Clare’s stunningly attractively decorated house with every facility one could imagine.
We will be back!

What a wonderful place in a fabulous location
This is a great place to stay and moments walk to where it's all happening.
The photos don't do the property justice, it's light and bright and very welcoming.
Plenty of room for all, beautifully decorated and great attention to detail including top notch amenities, lovely linen and thoughtful touches.
Highly recommended.

Gorgeously maintained and perfect location
We loved staying at Davey House - everything we needed was there to make our stay comfortable, from the well stocked, gourmet kitchen, through to the lovely bathrooms. Location was excellent - a short walk through the park brought us to where all the life was happening - Taste of Tasmania, the Marina and of course Salamanca markets.
Our only complaint would be the stairs but a small price to pay for easy pick-ups for tours, access to local grocery stores and great communication between the property managers/owners. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

A beautiful house
Eight of us had a wonderful long weekend in this truely lovely house.
Plenty of space, beautiful décor and a very central location. Clare was very accomodating allowing us early checkin and late checkout. Very convenient key system for a large group to come and go. We had a great stay, thank you. We weren't quite diligent enough reading the parking signs but have learnt for next time. We would love to come back for our next convention in 2020.

Beautiful House in Top Location
Our 'book club' of 7 women from Sydney had a lovely stay at Davey House. It's within walking distance of Salamanca markets and the cafes. Beautifully appointed, warm and cosy. The manager Judy was very welcoming and had the heaters on for us, and we very much appreciated the late check out. Would definitely stay here again.
