Cottage is airy, nicely decorated. We appreciated the beach chairs. Easy walk to Footbridge Beach and to the town. The Trolley stops were right at the end of the street.
Quiet community. Excellent food options. Beach was great. Marginal Way is a must walk.

Loved this cottage in Ogunquit and had a great time. Close to Footbridge beach (which was so beautiful) and restaurants, but in a quiet neighborhood my son and I could walk around in safely. Cottage was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. The outside shower was a bonus after being at the beach as was the washer and dryer. Everything in the house worked great and was super easy checking in and out. We loved it.

Not having ever been to Ogunquit, this cottage is a perfect place to start. The house is situated perfectly to the beach, many restaurants and downtown. The air conditioning was cold, the water was hot and the house was very clean. I didn't know Ogunquit would be SO busy. We didn't use the trolley but it would be really useful for families with small kids that don't want to fight traffic for the beach or restaurants. There's a trolley stop right at the bottom of the road. Marginal Way was beautiful, The Lobster Pound was delish, Perkins Cove was cute for some Maine swag. Perfect first trip to Maine.

I have been going to Ogunquit for 21 years and Larry’s Lodge is a family kind of place to stay. I loved the Salt Life and how cozy and spacious it felt. Lisa and Jim made that cottage into something great. I highly recommend

Very clean, modern cottage on the north end of Ogunquit. We were scheduled to arrive about the same time as hurricane Lee. Lisa was very accommodating and accessible about working around the storm.

My aunt, cousins and I had a fabulous stay at The Salt Life. The place was exactly as advertised - clean and comfortable with beach cottage vibes. The owners were lovely and super responsive - even when I locked us out of the house! Lisa couldn’t have been nicer or faster to reply and take care of it. Very grateful for such a lovely few days. Thank you! We hope to be back!

We had a wonderful vacation in Ogunquit. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. There were 5 adults + a 14 month old baby. We were able to walk to Footbridge Beach. The owner answered all my questions and provided us with a wonderful family vacation that we will always remember.

This was our second stay at this property. It’s perfect for a family beach trip! Walking distance to Footbridge Beach - which is the best beach around in my opinion. Property was very clean. Excellent hosts. No need to look further - this home is perfect!

Our family stayed at "The Salt Life" for a week to enjoy Ogunquit and the surrounding area. It managed to fit our family (kids and adults) really well despite being small. It was clean and comfy, and you can't beat the location! We explored Ogunquit, York, Kennebunkport, Wells, and Portland from the cottage. Having the large yard for the condo association nearby was great for games. One note is that The Footbridge beach is walkable, but it might be a bit far for some little kids as it involves crossing a larger road. Definitely easy to walk downtown from the house, though! Overall, I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to enjoy Ogunquit!

Lisa was a great communicative host. Everything was as she said it would be. Perfect location. Easy walk to beaches. Decorated with seaside theme so cute. Ordered linens through service, easy peasy an plenty of towels provided. Will book again.

This was a delightful space, very clean. We did wish were closer to the ocean (my husband is handicapped). I and my children could walk it though it was a bit far with all the beach gear!! There was a miscommunication on the entry process, but I'm sure it was an isolated incident. Beautiful views, nice neighborhood.

Thought the house was on the beach side but it turned out ok. It was a bit smaller than I thought
It was a pretty good experience. I had trouble finding a place when I started looking in November but this turned out well

great week at Salty Life
My family and I had a great week at this cottage. It had everything we need to fit a family of 5. Very comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen. Walk to the beach was a little further than we expected, but we brought our kids and gear with a collapsible wagon, which seems what most people do. We enjoyed our week!

Beautiful cottage with a great location
This was our first time visiting Ogunquit and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The cottage was clean, had just the right amount of space for our family of 3, and was so conveniently located to town and the beach. We were able to walk everywhere. The property owners were easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location and lovely cottage
We spent a couple days at this little cottage. Very clean, easy parking, central air, nicely decorated and very cozy. We found the location perfect as it was north of all the downtown congestion and we really enjoyed the short drive to Footbridge Beach and so many delicious restaurant options.

Cottage village in Ogunquit
Ogunquit has great beaches and fun food places and shops to visit. You must walk marginal way. Plan accordingly for pay as you park. No parking is free unless you are a customer. This cottage met all our needs, the owners are very nice people and extremely accommodating. I highly recommend staying here.

Loved our Stay.
My family and I stayed at “The Salt Life” for three days 8/5/21 - 8/8/21. Check in was smooth. The owners were very responsive to our questions and even navigated us through an unforeseen problem. The property was clean and bright. The kitchen was functional with a regular size fridge/freezer (Tip: get groceries in Wells ME at Hannafords just a few miles away instead of in Ogunquit). The cottage kitchen table folds out and will seat 5-6 and was our gaming table every evening. Laundry facility is actually in a small locked shed at the back of the cottage, but it was so nice to have as we always seamed to have things to wash from our days at the beach. Also make sure you bring your own bed linens and towels as they are not provided. The cottage location is just set back far enough from the main road so as to not notice the traffic. The main road is busy but crosswalks are just a block away. The Ogunquit river bridge is about a 15 minute walk and then another few minutes to the ocean. The sidewalk into town took about 25 minutes and we even walked the Marginal Way to Perkins Cove which probably took an 50-60 min. Tip: Don’t drive and expect to find parking in town. Also I highly recommend renting a beach umbrella and chairs with straps from the place they recommend (can’t recall the name but it’s in the book provided at the cottage) as they will deliver them to your door and pick them up the day you leave. Ogunquit, ME is a very lively place with eclectic restaurants and bars, great fresh seafood and exactly what we were hoping for in our visit to Maine. Cheers

Great location!
Property was very clean, exactly as advertised, in a great location.
The only issue was a very squeaky bed (full size). It made loud creaking noises getting in and out of the bed and every time we moved.

Wonderful location!
My friend and I stayed for a few nights and absolutely loved it! The cottage is so cute, very light and airy, and perfectly appointed - and absolutely the perfect location. We easily walked to the beach, and while we drove into town, we could have walked there as well as it's only about a mile. We're already talking about coming back! Thank you guys for a lovely trip!

It was far out, man..
Property was VERY clean. No pesky cottage bugs. The property is perfect for little people. The cottage is right next to this huge field with swing set and track. Kids loved it. Very quiet neighborhood. Perfect for runners. 12 minute walk to beach. Beach is rock solid (no rocks though). Plenty of DVDs/books for kids.. they dug it. The other aspect that was pretty rad was the house was right next store to this money seafood pad that slings clams and lobster. Highly recommend. Owners are cool. I’d stay again.

Great property in a great location.
We've been vacationing in Ogunquit for years, and have been looking for places to stay (outside of hotels). This place is perfect for our family. Easy walking access to Footbridge Beach (our favorite of all time), downtown OGT, and a nice quiet place to kick back and relax at the end of the day. The cottage is probably one of the cleanest places I've stayed in a long time. I almost felt bad bringing my children in there, knowing what they do to my house. My one complaint is the bed in the second bedroom. I had to sleep in there one night with my 3 year old because she was a bit scared. I think the bed (which is on wheels) rolled halfway across the room any time I even rolled over in bed or moved at all for that matter. We just jammed a beach towel under one of the wheels to keep it in place.

Great week at the beach!
My husband, 2 daughters (3.5 and almost 2 years old) and I stayed here for a week in August. It was wonderful. Everything the online listing and reviews said it was. Clean and comfortable. The only thing that worried me was the proximity to the main road and having to cross the street to get onto the sidewalk. While there is a crosswalk and early in they day it’s no problem, later in the day the traffic increases and people drive really fast, so it gets hard to cross with 2 small kids.

Amazing Family Trip
We loved our time here (July 2019). The property is so clean and well maintained. Wifi was easy to access (important to our kids), and the kitchen had all of the necessities (important for the parents).
Communication with the owners was timely and friendly.
We were thrilled with the location, so close to Footbridge beach and yet still private and quiet.
We hope to have the opportunity to come back here again in the near future.

Great cottage, great location, terrible coffee maker ;)
An adorable property, very clean, comfortable, excellent location, AC is great, the beds are comfy, the kids enjoyed riding bikes around the communal green area. Close to Footbridge Beach. A few things could be improved with more info up front. I recommend sending an email to tenants a few days before with some check in tips such as: 1) deadbolt is tricky, you need to enter the code then turn the deadbolt HARD clockwise. If you don't turn it hard enough the bolt doesn't go in all the way and the door stays locked - took us a while to figure this out and get in! 2) "things you should bring" in addition to linens, you will need bath towels, hand towels, dish towels and beach towels, trash bags (there were none and there was trash left in the trash can when we arrived...with no bag), paper towels, dishwasher tabs (if you want to use the dishwasher), mini coffee filters or k-cups (if you want use their coffee maker), any condiments you need (the fridge will be completely empty when you arrive), cleaning supplies (you are expected to wash the floors before you leave?? Never seen this at a property that charges a cleaning fee) 3)The AC (which is amazing) is off when you arrive so don't be surprised if it is quite warm when you enter - it will cool down quickly. The thermostat can be set to "Permanent Hold" or "Temporary Hold". The temp kept resetting until I found the Perma Hold function. 4) The coffee maker is terrible. The listing says there is kuerig and a "traditional carafe". There is no traditional 12-cup coffee maker. There is a one cup k-cup machine that, supposedly, can convert to a brew ground coffee. We had 3 adults who start each day with 2 -3 cups and this thing would not work right AT ALL. I'll save you the gory details but it was quite the comedy of errors. We were ready to toss the thing and just buy a new one for them. If you need coffee BRING YOUR OWN POT or buy cold brew! 5) Never did figure out how to get the TV in the sunroom to work. There is a binder in the house with instructions on cleaning, parking and garbage; instructions on things like working the TV and thermostat would be helpful. We spent a lot of time figuring out the "quirks", but the hosts were responsive and helpful. I would stay here again...and bring my own coffee pot :)

The property was in excellent shape and well kept.
First time going away as a family for a week and we loved every second in this house. It is in a great location with the trolley stop right around the corner. Also located right by Footbridge Beach and just a short trolley ride away from main beach and downtown.

Perfection!
Where do I begin? This cottage is absolute perfection! It is beautifully decorated, spacious enough for my family, including my teen-aged children, and close to everything. While the photos are great, they don't do this house justice. It is pristine, yet comfortable- we immediately felt at home.
It is close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. We easily walked into town each morning to grab food/coffee/smoothies at Bread and Roses Bakery, Backyard Coffeehouse, and the Love Shack juice bar. It's just as close to Footbridge Beach, one of our all time favorite New England beaches. I'd walk there in the morning with my coffee, and my husband and son ran the beach several days. If we planned to spend the day at the beach, we would drive down, set things up and walk back down later. Easy, and avoids parking fees.
One of the best parts are how lovely the owners are. Responsive to our questions, and dedicated to making sure we enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this house- you will love it. I know we did!

I wanted to make it my own!!
This property was everything that it said that it would be! The cottage is charmingly decorated but very comfortable and cozy! It was an easy walk to Footbridge Beach and we also walked easily to the downtown area. The Trolley stop is at the end of the entrance to the cottages and runs frequently as well. I would recommend this property to anyone and I plan to return myself!
