Great Vintage Camp with a spectacular view of Seneca Lake. The cottage is located in a private forest like setting overlooking Seneca Lake. From your cottage porch listen to the lapping of the lake and the breeze rustling through the pines. Take a short stroll down the lane to your priviate beach that comes equipped with kyakas, canoe and fire pit. The beach is the perfect place to hang out with family and friends while roasting marshmallows and telling tales. Walk out onto the dock that comes complete with chairs, umbrella and a mesmerizing view. The dock is a great place for an afternoon of kicking back, reading, sunning, sipping wine or a casual afternoon swim. We really enjoyed our stay at the lake. It was amazing, calm and lovely. We would love to come back.

We loved our week at this property, which was in conjunction with attending a race at the Watkins Glen speedway. Our favorite features were the large screened porch overlooking the lake and the well- equipped kitchen for cooking our meals. We appreciated the comfortable beds and air conditioners in each room which made a hot week more pleasant. Extras provided by hosts, such as snacks and fresh flowers were nice touches. We also enjoyed the kayaks and sitting lakeside in the Adirondack chairs. Hosts were resposive and gracious. Great proximity to town and raceway, yet quiet and private. My family owned a similar cottage and staying here brought back many wonderful memories.

This is a lovely getaway. We spent most of our waking hours at the cabin on the porch which has a fabulous view overlooking Seneca Lake and the dock/beach area.
I suspect the cabin is from the 1920s and it's been updated with indoor plumbing, a nice kitchen and a washer and dryer on the small back porch. Nights were comfortable, except for one night when the fans were needed in the bedrooms. However, several weeks before temperatures were in the 80's and 90's and that would have been challenging as the cabin has only one window air conditioner on the first floor.
The only bathroom is on the first floor, too. A bit of a challenge for those of us who have to visit the facilities at night. Overall, the Woodland cabin is a charming place well situated both on the lake and in proximity to Watkins Glen, wineries and other amenities. I defintely hope to return.

We really enjoyed being right on the lake! Screened porch was lovely to spend time looking over the lake. We all enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, swimming and fishing right off the property. The dock with Adirondack chairs on the water was so pleasant to sit in and enjoy the lake breeze. House was well stocked with everything we needed and bonus goodies for our stay. We really appreciated it being pet friendly as well! Wineries and restaurants all less than 15 minutes away.

Second year at wonderfully comfortable and well appointed retreat. Dock was lovely for relaxing, reading and drinks. Lakeshore front provided fire pit for evening entertainment and kayaks for exploring the shoreline. Coffee in the morning and great dinners on the elevated screened-in porch over looking the lake was the perfect beginning and end to the day. Theresa is a great host! Woodland Cottage is in a private but convenient location, so easy to explore the area!

We stayed for just short of a week and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious, comfy, well-stocked, and has the real feeling of a genuine vintage lakehouse. It is clear how loved and looked after the place has been by the owners and family. The beach area is big, with a dock that includes a roof for shade. The two kayaks and canoe were in great shape and so fun. It was a very peaceful part of the lake, even on Saturday. We are already planning our return next summer!

We loved the place and location! The amenities left for us was a plus. Loved the ingenuity of the light fixtures and the knick-knacks scattered around the interior (seems like every day I noticed something new). Having the double doors open to the screened in porch made the living room seem like part of the outside! This may sound stupid but having access to Windex and paper towels to constantly clean my windshield was a huge help! I went to 6 different gas stations in NY and they all have squeegies but not a single one had cleaner to use. We did joke around about having access to a golf cart to travel from the house to the dock...LOL! Only potential downside would be lack of AC upstairs if staying during a heatwave; we were very fortunate in that it cooled down every evening albeit one night was a bit uncomfortable. Location was very convenient for all the things we did.

The property was amazing. The house was right on the lake. We spent a lot of time hanging out on the dock and in the evening around the firepit. The property was in a great location to take in all that Watkins Glenn had to offer and to visit many of the wineries. I would definitely highly recommend it and I certainly plan to go back there again.

Perfect spot by the lake. Loved the porch for relaxing with morning coffee and taking in the view and wildlife. Dock great for relaxing and catching some sun rays. 10 min from Watkins Glen and shopping for any necessities and restaurants. 2 kayaks and canoe were a nice bonus. House nicely stocked and all amenities needed. I would not hesitate to come back.

We had a lovely time at the Rock Stream cottage. There is a wonderful screened-in porch with a fabulous view of the lake to read, relax, eat, chat. Lots of farm stands nearby for fresh fruits and veggies and the kitchen was well-equipped for daily cooking. It was a perfect end-of-summer retreat!

I grew up with a family cottage on Seneca lake. I spent every weekend there as a kid. The family sold it a long time ago so my kids never got to experience what that was like. This cottage had all of my favorite memories. A big private beach, a great dock to hang out on, cool lake breezes blowing through the bedroom. The cottage was the perfect combination of rustic and modern. A nice little kitchen and bead board on the ceiling. The front porch is great. High above the lake and floor to ceiling screens. We ate every meal out there. Dinners on the porch, cocktails on the dock, and fires on the beach. It was the perfect summer vacation. Thank you for sharing your special please with us.

The location of the lake house is priceless, the view of the lake from the porch was the highlight of our mornings , where we enjoyed our coffee and breakfasts.
The hospitality of the owners was great and we felt at home during our stay. We are truly hoping to be able to go back next summer. Time had stopped while we were there, able to recharge and go back to our busy, at times hectic lives.

Well, as long time residents of Catlin, NY, we thought we were in for good weather on the lake in July. No such luck. But that is no fault of Theresa's. Good thing she provided lots of activities in the cottage. Super cute. Nicely stocked kitchen, fast internet, good tv service and nearby wineries. You can't ask for anything more except sunshine. (Be careful backing out of the driveway).

Beautiful and cozy house right next to the lake! We loved kayaking and taking a small boat riding on the Seneca Finger Lake. Gorgeous area as well with many vineyards and brewery place. We would definitely recommend this house and would like to visit again in the summer. ( we stayed late September )

Our family had a great time and we felt very comfortable. Everything in the cottage was provided, well thought out and clean. Lights and lamps in every corner of the house. The bedrooms were very spacious. The screened in porch overlooking the lake was great for outdoor dining. The kayaks, canoe, life preservers, chairs on the dock, chairs by the camp fire pit, heat for cool nights and everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our meals. Having a Walmart Superstore nearby was a big plus.

Such a cute cottage on Seneca Lake, packed to the gills with everything you would need...pots/pans, Pyrex, Tupperware, dishes/glasses, utensils, coffee maker, oil/vinegars, spices, sheets, towels, hairdryer, TP and other bathroom toiletries you may have forgotten. Really great screened in front porch overlooking the lake. Beach area, dock, awesome fire pit, kayaks and canoe, charcoal grills. Such a great trip! Ages 1 1/2, 9, mid-thirties, forties and fifties...fun had by all. I would definitely recommend to friends/family and we will be back again.

We spent 10 days in May at this beautiful house and it was absolutely incredible! The house itself was so charming, from the screened in porch (with lake view!) to the cozy wood burning stove. The beach was huge and had a great fire pit, and it was awesome to have the kayaks to take out on the water! We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet retreat and cannot wait to stay there again :)

I was lucky enough to return to my routes of WNY last week and stay in this amazing cottage. The view is to die for and the cotttage secluded but easy to find. 10 mins from Watkins Glen this cabin is an wonderful boho style vintage cottage with 3 nice size bedrooms upstairs. The owner has every detail down to a science...cubbies in the bathroom for guest, tons of towels and a gourmet kitchen with nice pots and large new fridge. There was a goodie package--nice touch when we arrived and the days sitting on the dock with all the chairs and kayaks made the nighttime campfire and amazing sunsets a peaceful paradise for my grownup family of 5. SO many memories made this week..disconnecting, wine tasting in the area and talking on the dock or while on the boats provided. This is a gem of a place..cannot wait to return!!
