View of the lake
Not what was advertised . I was expecting a self catering cottage and king size room with use of a kitchen as it was advertised as Jupiter cottage with king size bedroom . It is a small room with small double bed in an attic with sloping roof . Not great for anyone over 5ft 5. No sink . Outcries hard with breakfast things ( croissant , jam, eggs , toast ) but I would have rather had use of a kitchen . It is on a noisy road and has a noisy air duct so had to sleep with ear plugs . Silly things like a TV in the bathroom do not make up for pokey space and noise . Had use of a washing machine .

I was blown away by this accomodation
The chair to look out over the water and the bath were greatly appreciated
I found the accomodation central enough for me and easy to get around with my car

Hosts have gone to great lengths to make the stay very enjoyable & comfortable. In particular the shower is great & the views from the bedroom excellent Also the hosts had provided light breakfast/snack foods which were very helpful.
It felt a little too warm at times but there was an excellent fan so this solved the problem.

Wow - everything was near perfect for our stay. Beautiful accommodations from the view and large window, to the comfortable bed, very nice bathroom, the thoughtful snacks and drinks left in our refrigerator, the simple breakfast before we started our day. So many sweet details covered, very hospitable and friendly host, an amazing shower downstairs for those who need a shower instead of using the huge jet tub in the attached bathroom, even laundry facilities.
I can't think of anything!

Stunning view & very comfortable room. Lots of Orkney produce provided to try which was a really lovely touch. The owners really went an mile to make me feel very welcome !

Beautiful place to stay and perfectly located for exploring the island positioned between the two major towns. Photos don’t do the room justice and hosting was A* with complementary help yourself breakfast items.

The most exceptional place with the loveliest hosts ever. We felt so at home and didn’t want to leave in quite a visceral sense. This was one of the trips of a lifetime thanks to these guys
When the baby ducks didn’t come right around in the morning! I joke as this was the most beautiful place to see these little birds grow up over the week we were there and our host even has sent us a photo of them a few months on! Thank you

Very clean and high-quality accommodation.
Minor niggles - en-suite has whirlpool bath only, low ceiling precludes standing up to shower. (But offset by access to separate shower room downstairs).

Well appointed, incredible views, extremely clean
Had to take our shoes off 😁

Immaculate property looking directly out to sea. Friendly host who even had a welcome gift for us and bonus food for a cold breakfast. She even let us use her laundry. I totally recommend this property and wished we’d stayed longer. It was one of the best places we stayed in in our 5 week holiday.

What can we say? View.. amazing. Wildlife... dolphins visiting one evening. Breakfast... great with a nice Orkney beer included to make the first evening even more special.

Beautiful, stylish house right on the water. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows, deep soft carpets, breakfast area with free food, mini fridge with free drinks including beer, free snacks, double jetted tub, very private, friendly helpful hosts and much more.
It’s right on the main road from Kirkwall to stromness so a bit noisy. The house itself is great.

We were met by our host who was very welcoming and helpful. A continental breakfast and snacks were provided we were able to catch up on washing. The room was beautiful and luxurious Windows looking out to the loch. Beautiful bathroom with toiletries provided. Bed super comfy. Location was wonderful close to everything but in a quiet area. We loved our stay and would recommend highly

Beautiful situation
Big windows with sea view
It was very hot (unusual) and we were asked not to open window as the cooling system wouldn’t work. We eventually had to open and use the fan provided. This did work. 🥵
Would have loved to have two relaxing chairs to sit in in the bedroom but do appreciate that the room configuration would not have allowed this
