About this house rental
Come to our Zion Cabin Getaway to release your daily worries, breathe the fresh mountain air and unwind. Then get ready for activities and sights you will remember for a lifetime! Located in a gated community on the eastern edge of Zion National Park, this authentic log cabin will take you back in time while the amenities are as modern and comfortable as home. You and your family will want to sit on either covered front or back porches and soak in the quiet solitude of a one acre cabin site covered in juniper and spruce pines. If you wait long enough the local wildlife may slip silently by. If you wait until dark, the stars appear and give you a view you’ve either forgotten or have never seen as the Milky Way stretches across the darkened sky. Whatever plans you have for your vacation, they will be enriched by making Zion Cabin Getaway your headquarters.
The cabin is an easy walk to Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort facilities. Included at the resort are: **a two tiered pool with poolside service, spa, miniature golf, tennis/sports court, zip line and a climbing wall, in addition there’s a Fun Barn with ping pong and pool tables. Zion Ponderosa Ranch also offers, horseback riding, Side-by-side UTV rentals, canyoneering guide service, shuttle rides to some hikes and more.** With all these activities just steps from your door, you’ll see why the Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort is so popular.
The Zion Cabin Getaway is only a seven mile drive from the east gate of Zions National Park. If there’s a more beautiful, inspiring national park than Zion, we don’t know about it. Want more? Venture off to Bryce National Park, Brian Head Ski Resort, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, or even take a day trip to the Grand Canyon.
After a day of hiking and sightseeing, come home to your cabin and enjoy a soak in the large, private Jacuzzi. Cook a meal on the gas grill and eat it outside on the picnic tables. Later, take a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood then gather everyone for a game of horse shoes across the road. You may decide to take a ride on your rented UTV or arrange a horseback ride. It’s your choice, there’s really no schedule—you’re on vacation. Just be sure and take the time for star gazing.

Great house and the location worked out well for many different activities.

Great family home with lots of bedrooms and shared bathrooms. Very comfortable and well-stocked. Just a short drive or golf cart ride to Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, with its many amenities. We especially enjoyed the home’s quiet neighborhood, porches, fire pit, and wildlife.

This wonderful 5 bedroom log home was absolutely amazing! We have rented several VRBO in our years of travel and this by far was the best! The home is beautiful, had the perfect number of rooms with bed choices to accommodate teens, partners and other family. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. The hot tub was a fun bonus feature that was great after long hikes in the park. Scott obviously takes great pride in this home and we are lucky to have found it four our trip. Would give it more than 5 stars if possible.

Property is in a great location. Communication with the owner was great. Home very well kept and up-to-date. Would definitely book again.

Our family of 5 stayed with my brother's family of 6. The house had plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was well-equipped and the games in the garage provided lots of fun for the kids. Our favorite thing was relaxing in the hottub after a long day of hiking. The house was a 15-20 minute drive to the east entrance of Zion. The hike from the Ponderosa Ranch to the Angel's Landing overlook was one of our favorites because it did not have the crowds we experienced in the rest of the park. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Right outside east side of Zion! Love the hot tub and the community! We had 10 of us from age 6 to 70 and all had space around the house! Love the community pool and mini golf! Lots to do there other than that as well!! Would have loved to stay longer with how much there is to do! Great to get to Bryce as well and over to Page for antelope canyon. Grocery store isn't a terrible drive either. Enjoyed our stay!

Great place to stay for families visiting Zion. I would highly recommend this place for large groups. This cabin was very clean and had plenty of space to spread out. We didn't want to leave.

The house was the perfect oasis while running the Zion Trail Ragnar fitting very comfortably 8 adults. It was within walking distance from the village so we didn't have to tent it. The house was well stocked with cooking utensils making it very easy to make family meals. The hottub was the best recovery for after the race and the day of relaxing. Overall would definitely rent again.

Eight women friends (all over 65) decided to go hiking in Zion N.P. for a week and the house turned out to be perfect for us.
Most of us had our own bedroom or sleeping 'space' and the 3 full baths and one half-bath was really a plus for us. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels.
The kitchen had most everything we needed to cook for ourselves almost every night. We did plan our meals and shopping trip for Costco in St George ahead of time. You can't just 'run' out to the store at this location.
We also were completely happy about being on the east side of the park. The lack of grocery stores, restaurants and other shops did not bother us at all because we enjoyed the lack of people even more. There was a very short line of cars to get into the park at the East entrance. Parking at the visitor's center worked out for us because we tried to get there early. The East side is also more convenient if you want to go to Bryce Canyon or to Kanab or Page.
The neighborhood is very nice and quiet and the drive to house is beautiful. Great star gazing at night.
The host was great and no problems at all with check in.
We'd love to go back!!

The house was spacious, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed to cook great meals, relax, and enjoy our vacation. The beds were all comfortable and the bedding was clean and nice. The host communicated clearly and answered all of our questions. The log cabin detailing throughout the house was really unique and special.
Two things the house could use - more lighting in the kitchen namely above the stove. It was impossible to see what we were cooking even with all the lights on and daylight coming in. And bigger bath towels.
Highly recommended. We would go back if we were to do the same trip again.

Great sized property for a group, and super convenient to both Bryce and Zion.

We stayed here with our family and enjoyed our stay. Owner was helpful and very responsive. Plenty of room for a family, and good location from Zion. Good to know: the bathrooms are a but small, and there is no en suite for the master. Overall, this was a nice place.

Great house with room for everyone
We were very torn about whether to stay on the east side of zion but opted to do so to have a large house with amenities like pool and other fun resort stuff. We were a little disappointed that the zip line was not there anymore. But that's the resort's fault, not the home owner. There really is NOT anyplace to eat on this side of the park except for the resort restaurant which has a very limited menu. We cooked most of our meals at the house. We had 5 bedrooms, plenty of beds, plenty of space, nice outdoor patio and a screened in patio in the back. My only comment is that the bathrooms were pretty small - there is no "master" in the house...but otherwise it was a great stay. It is a least a 30 minute drive to any of the east size adventure outfitters (Orderville or Kanab) and almost an hour to get to the Zion visitor's center. Longer is there is a traffic through the tunnel. Just good to know before booking....

Recommended, But Needs Attention
I would recommend this property, but would check with the owner on a few things before I would go back. It seems like no one actually ever monitors or checks in on the property. The air conditioner did not work, and it was difficult for almost everyone in our family to sleep. The temp in the house remains at 78 until around 4 am where it will reach its coolest of 74. Make sure this is acceptable to you, or that it is functional before you go. The knives wouldn’t cut, the batteries in the remote didn’t work, and there was feces splattered all over the inside of one of the toilets when we arrived. The property definitely needs to be regularly checked between renters, and they should monitor the cleaners. Beautiful property and great amenities otherwise.

Amazing getaway in great house!
Not only are you in one of the most beautiful parts of the country and have access to many great parks, hikes and views but you are also being in an incredibly comfortable house with lovely amenities. The description is accurate and Scott was a helpful and communicative host. Highly recommend!

Warm and inviting spacious home.
The home was large enough for 11 of us to spread out and have enough space. It was clean and had a fully stocked kitchen. The hot tub was an added bonus. The location was perfect for many hikes in Zion Park. I would definitely stay at this property again. Zion is a National Treasure and I cannot wait to return.

Family retreat
We had a great time at this cabin, all the kids loved the play/tv room. Plenty of room where the adults were able to talk and play board games. The scenery was awesome, full of snow. Kids had a blast. We want to come back next year !

Lots of Space
We had a mini family reunion. Young adults and old. All had their private spaces, and plenty of room to spread out. Loved the hot tub, ping pong in garage and sitting on the sunny front patio. Great to have lodge nearby for necessities.

Perfect Group Stay!
The stay was great! Communication was awesome and location was the best. It was exactly what we needed. We loved being on the east side of Zion. Property was very clean and so much space for everyone. We would definitely recommend and come back!
As goes for any log cabin type house you can very easily hear doors, steps, walking.

Family Bacation
This home has been above all our expectations. It was clean. It had a lot of space for our family to spread out. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen in a vacation rental home. The jacuzzi was very nice. It had blue tooth capability so we could play music from our phones when using it.
Overall, this home went above and beyond our expectations. I highly recommend this home.

Great property for our group
Great house for our group of 13 from 3 separate families. Plenty of room for adults and teens to claim their space. We enjoyed ping pong, corn hole, and long dinners outside on the shaded picnic tables. Location was superb for accessing less-crowded Zion trails on the east side of the park. Also great for driving to Bryce. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful location, Perfect for Zion National Park visit
This house has everything we needed for our family trip. It is very clean and spacious. The picnic tables in the back are great! There's an extra refrigerator in the garage which was very useful, too. The location is close to Zion east entrance, which made getting to the park stress free. We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing on the porch after busy days in the Parks.

Zion / Bryce family vacation
This house was perfect for our family vacation of 4 adults to visit Zion and Bryce Canyon. We hiked the parks by day and enjoyed the hot tub and grill in the evening.

Great location and stay but weak wifi
Fantastic house and located perfectly close to the Zion east entrance. Cell service is spotty and WiFi is very lacking. It could not support more than a few individuals at a time doing basic items. Luckily we were taking advantage of the sites and not working from home otherwise it would have been very challenging.
5.0 / 5.0
We fit 15 people very comfortably in this cabin. The property allowed for all three vehicles including two trailers with side-by-sides. The property is very close to Ponderosa which was great for the kids to go swimming.

Perfect House for Zion Trip
I couldn’t recommend this house more. My friends were blown away when they arrived. It’s very spacious, spotlessly clean, 45 min away from the Zion visitor center (and the drive is fantastic). The amenities were amazing - ping pong table, hot tub, fire pit. 10/10

Perfect Place Super Close to Zion
This home made our vacation to Zion National Park perfect! We were only 5 miles from the park entrance so it was easy to go back and forth and we didn't waste precious time in the car getting there every day. The home is just as seen in the photos: well-maintained, lovely inside, with plenty of space for a family. We had 8 people and never felt crowded. There's a great fire pit in the back for campfires and marshmallow roasting (they even have marshmallow roasting skewers!) and two grills. There's plenty of outdoor seating, amenities in the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. And if you like stargazing, it's ideal. We sat outside at night, amazed by the canopy above. This home wasn't just a place to stay - it's one of the memories of our wonderful trip.

Great location. Great amenities.
We had a wonderful time. There were 12 of us including 2 kids. Plenty of space for everyone to relax, play games, have their own space, etc. Great location to explore Zion and Bryce Canyon.

Our friends and family had the best time here. Bedrooms were comfortable, house was stocked very well, everything worked, and the hot tub was wonderful.

Incredible home!
Wow! Incredible home and so well furnished. Our family rendezvoused from all over the US for a wonderful hiking vacation at Zion and Bryce. This home is located just east of the park. The 30 min drive home every night was spectacular. This home has everything you will need, but the large hot tub brought us all together in the evening. Mule deer and wild turkey common visitors. Great for large family.

Wonderful stay. House is beautiful and well kept. Expect to pay at the ponderosa though
Everything about the house is beautifully done and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils and the bedrooms have more than enough bedding and pillows. It’s located within 15 minutes of the east side of Zion National Park and less than 3 hours from the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The hot tub was cozy and the grill had plenty of propane plus more. Our only disappointment was how pricey the amenities at the nearby ponderosa were. The house is walking distance from the ranch but if you plan to utilize the pool or the horse rides or the zip line, be prepared to pay. It’s only a complaint because the House markets the ponderosa as part of the package so it’s a little misleading. We understood that they were separate entities but did not realize the extent of the costs that could be accumulated. Aside from that mild but unexpected disappointment, we had a wonderful stay in a beautiful home
