Has everything you need and great access to beach below. Close to nearby excellent hikes. It was a relaxing stay.

Wonderful hostess and so welcoming. Very homey feeling. Great floor plan.

House is right off the rocky beach with low tides that allow for scavenger hunts in the shallows. House is kid friendly, didn’t feel like our 6 year old would break stuff. Brought kayaks and could access the coastline. Didn’t see many other folks during our stay. Easy drive to Acadia and other fun spots. Small cottage next door would make a good larger group stay easy since the properties share the outdoor space and beach access.

We arrived after dark at this house and were treated to a spectacular treat when we woke up as we were looking directly out at the ocean. The views here are gorgeous. We loved opening all the windows and feeling the breeze off the water and listening to all the sounds. The water is a short walk and a lot of fun to visit and search for shells and crabs.
The check-in process was flawless and Judy called to check in a couple of times to make sure everything was going well.
The home is equipped with everything one would need and also has a fire pit, which ended up being one of our favorite things - listening to fire crackling and waves hitting the rocks.
The location is also great. It’s about 40-50 minutes away from Acadia National Park, but the drive is easy and there is so much to see and do along the way.
Overall, we were extremely pleased and would highly recommend this home and Judy to anyone. The fresh flowers throughout the house were a nice bonus.

My family & I stayed at Judy’s home which is in the perfect location if you’re looking to spend time in Bar Harbor/Acadia (about 45 mins away). Judy called me upon our arrival to ensure a smooth check in. She also added fresh cut flowers throughout the house which was a nice touch! Not long after checking in, Judy texted me to confirm that there were no issues with the house - very thoughtful.
You can follow a short path down from the house to the bay where you can swim.
We had a pretty enjoyable stay at the house where we spent a lot of time BBQing and using the fire pit at night.
During the day we were hardly at the house, so this didn’t matter too much to us but I feel that it’s important to leave in the review. There was poop in the toilet when we arrived, like someone had forgotten to flush and the toilet was not cleaned. There was also dirt/hair on the floor of each room that we swept prior to unpacking our things. We took care of these things and that was that.
I do recommend this house but it could have been cleaner.

The view is incredible. We watched harbor seals, Eagles and loons each morning in front of the property. Bar Harbor is approximately 40 min drive and the same to the much quieter schoodic part of acadia.
We had a few small issues on arrival but Judy was quick to work with us and did here best to resolve the issues.
The beach is rocky as noted in the discription but full of shells and sea glass. A peaceful place to walk in the morning. If looking for a quiet place this is a good one.

Nice three bedroom with incredible views from the living room and master bedroom! A beautiful 45 minute drive to Arcadia National Park. During low tide you can walk down by the water. Lots of colors on the trees and the reflection off the water was amazing. Great communication with owner! She responded quickly and it was all taken care of.

Nice area about 8 miles from Ellsworth. The property has all of the standard amenities. Deck outside has a good size propane grill.
The views all look out onto the cove.
It’s about 30-40 minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia National park out on Mount Desert Island. Southwest Harbor is another place to visit with our favorite coffee shop Milagro. Call ahead and try to get a seat at Harbor Table SW. Helen’s in Ellsworth very tasty with a selection of eats for everyone.

While our group enjoyed the 9 day trip to Maine, the rental property had several unexpected inconveniences that were masked in the outdated photos posted on the advertisement. The pros: great location with amazing views, quiet and serene street that felt safe, reasonable drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor, and the property allows multiple dogs over 25 lbs (very hard to find.) The cons are many. The furniture, towels, and rugs are in a generally shabby and uncomfortable condition and need to be updated/replaced. When we arrived the house looked generally untidy, with dust on the shelves and in the corners and human hair scattered about. There are holes in the screens that allow bugs to enter the house, and several window blinds are missing the pull strings to raise and lower them. The master bath is not connected to the master bedroom, and should be labeled as an upstairs shared bath and not master bathroom. The Jacuzzi tub is too large for the water heater, and is thus unusable. The owner also had scheduled maintenance during our stay, for which we were only given 14 hours notice. She then proceeded to stay and interrupt breakfast rather than overseeing the work being done to the property. While we enjoyed the overall experience, the accommodations were not as cozy and comfortable as we had expected them to be.

Great place. A little far out from Bar Harbor but nice and quiet.

We had a great stay at this beautiful house. Fresh flowers cut for us in every room! Loved walking the beach and kayaking in the cove. I do have a 4 year old and it wasn't the most kid friendly house. Lots of breakable objects around, no lock on the basement door, and no kid dishes. Other than that, it was a perfect place for us!

We had a lovely time at Hancock Point. Judy was very accommodating and called a few days before our arrival to check for questions and give hints and tips on the area. The house was well appointed-especially the two chairs looking out into the bay in the primary bedroom-the best reading and eagle-watching spot. We walked the beach and watched the resident nesting bald eagle pair as they flew back in forth all day and the harbor seals that came to play in the early morning. Things we did: Puffin tour, Acadia National Park-several days, thrifting/antiquing, visited Gull Rock Pottery, and Hog Bay Pottery. Places we noshed: C-Ray's, Helen's, Stewman's (after the Puffin tour), Ruth and Wimpy's, Ironbound, Side Street Cafe, and several side-of-the-road stops of which I don't remember the names. All were delicious!! We would go back tomorrow!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hancock Maine. There are so many things to say about this place. The views were incredible. The house was very spacious. Wonderful neighborhood as well. Nice and Quiet. Lots of places to eat nearby. Property Manager was very attentive.. We would easily go back!

My family had a wonderful time during our stay. The house was in a great location. It was right on the water with access very close for us to walk down and drop in our kayaks. The veiw of the bay was amazing and could be seen from several large windows! The house was very inviting, especially the master bedroom! The house is along the road but it is a quiet road, everyone in the area we encountered was very friendly. It took about 45 minutes to get to Bar Harbor and 1 hour to the tails we hiked in Acadia (MDI) and about 20 minutes to get to Schoodic part of Acadia. The ride is really easy though and we knew this when we booked! There are a number of things to do locally too! Look up the Frenchman Bay Conservancy!
The owner was amazing and was always available! It was great to be able to reach her when we had questions. I would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hancock Point. Cabin was spacious, clean, comfortable and had a great view. Judy was accessible and readily answered questions/concerns both before & during our stay. While it is a drive to get to Acadia, it is still easy to get to the park and also close to restaurants. We appreciated being someplace where it was peaceful and quiet. We'd definitely stay here again should we visit the area.
4.7
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hancock House! Can't beat the views. We enjoyed sitting outside around the fire while looking over the water. There are some tasty restaurants a short drive away. We also enjoyed the schoodic side of Acadia which was much less busy.

My husband, my sister and I traveled to Maine to view the fall colors and this trip did not disappoint. The location of the house on the water is so beautiful. It was a joy to wake up to this view and listen to the water breaking the shore before making our plans for the day. The sunrise can be seen from both the living room and the master bedroom. Seals played in the water in the early morning. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are about 30-40 minutes away. It was nice to visit, but then return to the quiet location of the house. Judy is very attentive to her guests, will responds quickly. When we arrived, there were little finishing touches such as fresh cut flowers here and there. We ate at Helen's Restaurant twice. Loved the variety of choices to satisfy everyone, the food is good and reasonable priced. Get there early though 5:00-5:30. Impressed with our visit to Maine. We're considering a family vacation and staying at both of Judy's houses to be together and apart. :)

This property had everything we needed. It was very Clean, and well stocked with items you would not think of (aluminum foil, etc). I would recommend this to everyone, and if we go to Maine again, we will definitely reserved this house.
4.7
Love Maine. First trip but not the last. The location of the house, on the water was great. Look forward to coming back. Thanks Judy.

Somehow the pictures don't do it justice. The location and space is amazing. Our family loved it so much the kids were sad to leave.

Cozy, quiet oasis with amazing view
This property is very true to how it is listed online. It is a sweet little cabin with a gorgeous view from every room. We arrived after dark, so woke up to the view from the sweeping master bedroom window the next day. Judy communicated well with me when I booked, before we arrived, and while we were there. She took care of small needs quickly and provided lots of information about the area. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need. There is a firepit with 6 adirondack chairs overlooking the bay. It is an easy walk down to the beach to walk at low tide. We liked that it was outside of the crazy busy Bar Harbor area, but that tradeoff meant we did more driving each day to Acadia for hiking, kayaking and whale watching. Just something to consider based on what your plans are while visiting the area. But it is hard to get this kind of view for the very reasonable price of this home anywhere else. The master bedroom is huge and the upstairs bathroom is very large and spacious as well. The second and third bedrooms are smaller but definitely adequate, and there are closets and dressers to make yourself at home for the week.

Great Quiet Stay!
We rented the Hancock House and the cottage next door for the week. It was great! We were able to spread family & friends over both houses - lots a space to be together...and apart. We closed out most of our days in the Adirondack chairs around the fire! Both houses were clean and had the basics in each kitchen. The location was perfect - close to the Tidal Falls on Schoodic Penn side of Acadia. There was a local grocery store a few miles away and a Walmart 20mins away. The drive to the main part of Acadia was about 45minutes - but we spend most of our time on the Schoodic side with was quieter with a amazing views and hikes. We had one maintenance issue and Judy (owns both houses) had the repair person in to fix it as soon as possible - she was quite responsive.

Beautiful and relaxing!
We stayed here for 4th of July week and it was just perfect! Clean, comfortable, and with views to die for. If you can wake up early enough, don’t miss the sunrise. You can see it from the comfort of the living room or the master bedroom. Close enough to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and the Schoodic Peninsula to enjoy activities for the day but then get away from the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet. Our 2 teens with diverse interests both had a great time. We biked, kayaked, fished, hiked, and ate some great food. Our little terrier mix enjoyed herself, too! The property owner gave us great tips for local activities and eateries and even provided us with a contact to bring fresh lobster from the boat right to our door! Such a great place to stay, would gladly go back!

Great trip
We enjoyed our stay at Judy’s place. Judy is very attentive. House is great, view is wonderful. Recommend renting/bringing kayaks as it’s a wonderful place for them. Close enough to all the real popular tourist stuff, but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. Was perfect for us.

Awesome Stay!
Wow, we are so happy we found this house to stay in while visiting the Bar Harbor area. The views from the house were amazing. Pictures don’t do it justice! We saw seals each morning right outside our window. The area is very quiet and perfect for morning walks with no traffic. The drive to Bar Harbor is about 40 minutes, but I’d much rather drive a little further and stay in a quiet house than stay in the chaos of Bar Harbor. Totally recommend this property! Judy was also very easy to communicate with. This property made our Bar Harbor trip perfect!

Had a great stay view was wonderful. Saw seal or porpoise feeding in the cove. Everything we needed was close. Judy had lost of suggestions for places to eat. We were in quiet neighborhood so could go home and relax after a day in bar harbor or Acadia.

Very clean. Great location
This was a very nice, clean, and roomy house. Views from bay windows are fantastic to enjoy sunrise over the cove. Only issue was no internet, for which the owner gave us a re-imbursement. If you need internet, check to confirm with owner ahead of time. Outside firepit was a plus. Patio is nice, but is obstructed from view of the cove. Owner was very responsive and easy to contact. I would use this property again. Location is great. Secluded enough, but about 40 minute drive to Bar Harbor if that is in your plans.

This is a beautiful home w/ access to gorgeous views of the water/beach. Myself, wife, in-laws thoroughly enjoyed the home.and our stay there. Judy was very responsive to my questions and some feedback during our trip. The layout and comfort of the master bedroom and jacuzzi are as good as advertised. Our only real knock the view of the bay/inlet and the Adirondack chairs was slightly obstructed with the growth of the rose bush and a pine tree. We also thought some of the outside furniture could also receive some updating/refurbishing. That said it was a lovely home in a lovely area.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at this lovely vacation spot! The house was perfect for me, my husband, and our 3 children, ages 10, 11, and 13. The location was great! We’d start the day exploring Mount Desert Island which is about a 30 minute drive from the house. Getting to Bar Harbor is a bit longer than the mileage on the website implies! Luckily we knew what to expect having visited the area for many years. After a day of hiking, mini golf, shopping in Bar Harbor or the less crowded Southwest Harbor, we loved returning to the house and relaxing by the water while the kids swam or explored. The view of the mountains of Acadia is beautiful! Later, we enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and gazing at the stars! The only slight negative is there is another rental property very close to this house. You need to walk across their lawn to access the beach. In the future I would rent both properties. The second house would be perfect for grandparents or another small family. Also, the master bedroom is very spacious and has a beautiful view of the water! On a cool, rainy night the whole family gathered in there by the fireplace. One of the other other two bedrooms is on the first floor. A sleeper sofa in the master bedroom would have been perfect because my daughter ended up sleeping on the floor in our room because she was not comfortable sleeping downstairs.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!! I would definitely come again!

We were so lucky so find this cottage. When this listing popped up, we booked it immediately! Judy called us shortly after we made the reservation to say hello and told us that she had a cancellation and added the listing just a couple of hours before … We knew we were off to a good start.
The house is located on the water at the edge of Jellison Cove, a quiet part of Frenchman Bay. The house has everything, including sheets and towels, which is almost unheard of in many rentals! From the large picture windows, or from a seat by the fire pit, we watched the sunrise, rainbows, moonrise and eagles soaring.
We took a long walk every morning and learned quickly that everyone waves from their car or says hello as you pass on the quiet dead-end street. The beach is rocky (it’s Maine) so wear sneakers or Tevas, if you want to brave the cold water. It’s fun!
We ate-in most meals including lobsters cooked at home. And there are some great local places including YU’s takeout for fabulous crab rolls! Our new favorite is Flanders BBQ - possibly the best BBQ anywhere and they make killer cornbread. Check their hours before venturing out. Drive over to Corea and eat at Corea Wharf Gallery and Grill. The food and view is worth the drive.
Judy was a great host. We can’t wait to go back.

We needed a get-away that felt like off-the-grid living for a while. This property lived up to our expectations, plus some. We were able to use this house as our “central hub” and venture out each day in all directions. Close to grocery, yet far enough from civilization. Close enough to hit all the must-see and must-do’s on our list. It was quiet and quaint! We enjoyed it and our kids didn’t have any complaints. We VRBO often and had a great experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend!

Perfect getaway
Exceptionally easy to book stay. House was clean, well equipped and on the water. Great location, equidistant to bar harbor and schoodic. Very quiet and restful from waves lapping the shore, the hum of nearby lobster boats, walks on a deserted beach. Perfect early fall getaway!!

The house was sparkling clean and close to many places to visit like Acadia Park. We enjoyed the view on the ocean from our bedroom and the amazing spectacular sunsets and sunrises everyday.
