The room was perfect and the bed was comfy. It was a joy to spend time with Andrea and learn lots of Virginia City history. Will definitely be coming back!
Nothing, great quick getaway.

The house was wonderfully restored and kept the early day look. It was comfortable and welcoming and so beautifully decorated with the period furnishings. We had the V&T Railroad room overlooking the garden below where we even saw a deer grazing.
We were met at the door by a lovely hostess, Andria, who graciously saw to it that we had a very memorable three night stay. She was so interesting to visit with telling us about the history of the house and after our short time there we felt like we knew her for a long time. One very special moment was on the night before our early morning departure she brought a beautiful tray of muffins, fruit and cheese up to our room so we would have something to eat before we headed for our home in Arizona. She is the best!!!!
We didn’t see anything we didn’t like…We had a delightful experience.

One block from the main street. The rooms are full of history. The lady that checked us in, Andria, was very kind and answered all of the questions we had about the town.
I guess a town built on the side of a mountain has to have stairs.

Cookies when I Stayed, who doesn't like cookies. Plenty of tea. Coffee options. Great Location ez walk to main street thought town. Interior of house is pretty amazing.

I’ve stayed here before, same room even because I always prefer Virginia City to Reno. Old 1870’s house is fun to snoop around in and the location is great.
When I stayed here last time we had a full, cooked breakfast, but this time it was a light Continental breakfast only. A little disappointed at that.

There is no breakfast. I read previous reviews, who talked about an excellent breakfast. When we got there there was no breakfast, but there was a sign saying that they don’t serve breakfast anymore to cut costs. There was a Keurig with a selection of teas, and decaffeinated coffee. There was some muffins sitting on the table, that were saran wrapped, and some very stale cookies on a tray. The room was clean and neat, with an attached bathroom. The lady checking us in it was apologetic because she did not have a key for the room, because apparently a previous guest took it with them. She did offer to get us the second key, left and I never saw her again. There was a mini fridge in the hallway, that had a couple of cold bottled waters in it.

The hostess was very friendly, hospitable, and knowledgeable about the history of the house and the city. My husband and I enjoyed looking at old pictures, antique furniture, and glassware.
A clear description that the rooms are on the second floor and the number of steps the stairs have should be mentioned. Some food that we stored in the common fridge were stolen which was not the inn’s fault.

The location! it’s one street up from the “main street” (C St.), but is just a short walk down the hill to the Main Street.
Nothing - everything was great!

We weren't able to stay for breakfast but enjoyed the fruit and breakfast bars available. The home was very lovely throughout. It was great being able to let ourselves into our room even though we arrived later than expected.

Charming older house with lots of antiques. Breakfast was great, the room was comfortable and it was a short walk or drive to the main strip of shops & restaurants. Sitting area downstairs was also inviting.
The rooms are upstairs with a narrow staircase. So, if you have difficulty climbing stairs, this place is not for you.

The best part of our stay was the actual house and our rooms. But, Breakfast was fair at best. Not enough scrambled eggs for the four people staying there ( which was the main dish), fruit consisted of grapes only, no side dishes, no quiche, no anything! . Bacon was not cooked correctly as well. Who likes limp bacon. When I commented on the under cooked bacon, the person preparing the meal began to cry. She was a bit of a basket case. I also didn’t feel safe at night, as we were not allowed to lock the front door at night. Anyone could have walked in. Cash wasn’t excepted either.
The room was nice.

The house was fantastic!!! The history and the atmosphere was wonderful. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. I ABSOLUTELY would stay here again. One street away from Main and close to everything.
Breakfast was a little disappointing. Great service but uninspiring. Hope the next visit may be better. Still would not think twice about coming back.

Great breakfast; nice variety and excellent preparation. the house is immaculate; a complete rebuild with period finishings. Hostess was very hospitable and helpful. the house is right in the middle of the old downtown section which is what we wanted. Steep stairway, but it's an 1875 house. Very nice place, good experience.

quaint, interesting and historic. the furnishings were appropriate to the period. nice view. and a good hearty breakfast in the morning.
the bed was okay not great. the ceiling fan didn’t really provide any relief from the heat and stuffiness. the revelry of two intoxicated couples out in the street was disruptive to sleep and contributed to the overall experience during the stay.

We loved the ambiance of the house and the location. We never had to move our car once! The rooms were quiet at night and the morning breakfast prepared by Jess was wonderful! Jess is also a great house host. She not only told us where to go and what to do, but was a pleasure to chat with when we had some downtime at the house.
