The house was perfect for our family when we celebrated a wedding in Hood River. It was comfortable and had an art collection that was so interesting. The kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed. Large dining table fit us all and was great for playing board games. Would definitely rent it again when returning to HR.
4.7
Nice place with interesting and eclectic decor. Driveway is steep and difficult to park in. Not much outdoor space, but plenty of sleeping options.
4.7
Nicely situated townhouse. Great view of Mt. Adams from the bottom of the driveway. The driveway is quite steep, typically not a problem except for the acute angle where it meets the street. Low clearance vehicles may bottom out their bumpers. The proximity warning on my bumpers were alarming red as I carefully crept in and out of the drive. Temperature control was an issue within the house. Setting the lower floor to 68 degrees resulted in the upstairs being extremely warm necessitated opening windows to sleep. The bedding is very warm and it would be nice to have less bulky options.
These hurdles are minor and the overall experience at the property is good, quiet location, interesting decor, and well stocked nice kitchen. Recommend.

This home is very comfortable, with all the amenities needed. The decor is eclectic & interesting. The driveway is steep but there is parking on the street. We recommend, for a family it was great.

The house is everything you hope for. Incredibly well stocked, nice layout, plenty of space. Out back is a nice green belt with frogs and a plethora of birds. The location, while a bit out of town, is really nice given the nature that surrounds it. You can sit out back and enjoy the nature sounds for hours! The kitchen is large, plenty of seating in the dining for a large group, and the living room is comfortable and fun to play board games in front of a nice fire. The house feels really good, even with the unique decorations.
The place is well decorated with worldly artifacts and totems. Not much of an animal-skin fan myself, but it worked in this place. I really want to tell you about the lower bathroom .... but I'll leave that for you to discover! It's hilarious!
The location is about five minutes outside of downtown Hood River by car, possibly a bit too far to walk for many, but there are some closer shops. All in all, we think the location is fantastic.
This house feels well loved and that made the trip wonderful.

We feel like we struck gold on this rental! We've stayed in alot of home rentals and there's always something missing or not working. But not at Wanderlust, the home is well stocked and even some! The beds are comfortable including pillows, rooms are ample, kitchen well stocked and home is creatively decorated! So enjoyed looking at every room so see the adventures of owners travels. Thank you for allowing us to visit in your home! *not a complaint but recommendation, bathroom lighting in Jack n Jill could be brighter.

Nice spacious home in a quiet neighborhood! I was pleased with all the kitchen supplies that enabled us to stay in and cook our own meals.

Great gathering place for a family spread across the Northwest. We had an amazing time, and thoroughly enjoyed the home.

Home was perfect for our family with 2 young kids under 4 and grandparents. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed and much more. Beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was cute. The location is a little far to walk to downtown, but the drive is very close. About 10 minutes to the waterfront park and downtown. Would recommend for any families exploring the area.

We stayed here with some friends for our wedding weekend. Plenty of room and the house was clean.

Wonderful stay

Very nice house, clean, interesting decorations.

The townhouse is clean, well-stocked with basic items, and quiet. With three bedrooms and two full baths, it is laid out well for a family. The most memorable aspect of the residence is its decor. The furnishings are crafted out of natural timber, and its eclectic style might be described as "Christian missionaries meet the First Nations," with artifacts reflective of both cultures.

Very comfortable home and clean.

The property was very clean except they forgot to take the rodent trap out of the pantry, but it worked. Unlikely that would ever happen again. It’s situated about a mile from good coffee and a few restaurants. Downtown is a little further but an easy walk or drive. There is a walking trail close by which was very convenient. The property had all the amenities needed for a kitchen. Coffee and filters and an array of herbs/spices. There are very interesting art/artifacts in the house. My daughter found some of them a bit scary, wooden Indians, crosses( likely collected from their travels around the world) and native weapons (perhaps she watches too much scary TV). There is only room for one car in the driveway. However there was easy street parking close by.

This was a lovely place to stay for a girl's trip. The home was so comfortable, well-stocked, and we loved the decor. The location was quiet and convenient to get in to town. Yes, the driveway is steep but it was never a problem. I would recommend this home to friends and would happily stay there again.
4.7
A little further away from downtown than I’d normally like, but the price was right and the space was great. Be wary of the steep driveway if staying when there is ice, but no notes other than that!

Honestly, I was skeptical of this property even after seeing the reviews. As an owner of rental property, I’m too familiar with how important reviews are and how difficult it can be to please or meet expectations. The owners obviously have pride in their property.! They thought of everything to make guests feel at home. The kitchen had top of the line cookware, utensils, flatware, spices, etc. I rate this home 5/5! We’ll stay here again, if we have 6 people!

This was an excellent place to stay while we explored the Hood River area! We hiked and drive up to Mt. Hood to play in the snow. The house was super clean and in excellent shape, and I appreciated how well the kitchen was stocked with basics like coffee, salt, pepper, etc. This is very minor, but one thing that would have made it better was more seating in the living room that faced the TV. In the evenings our family of five likes to watch movies together, and the couch was on a side wall that made it difficult to see the TV; we ended up sitting or laying on the floor so we could all see the screen. Would still recommend this as a great place to stay!
4.7
With exception of a shared STEEP driveway, this place was exceptional. It was abundantly stocked and beautifully decorated with a unique style that seemed more like a museum. We enjoyed our visit with family and will definitely keep it in mind for our next stay. We'll be sure to bring the car and not the truck!!

My family from Mississippi enjoyed our stay at Wanderlust in beautiful Hood River. Your home was perfect. Very clean, spacious and equipped!! The beds were comfy and the house so quiet. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

Great weekend stay
We visited Hood River for a wedding and enjoyed our stay at this property. The home was in a nice neighborhood, clean, well stocked and well decorated. The beds were comfortable and they provided everything we needed. We loved doing the “fruit loop” which was minutes away and would recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.

misled on location but well stocked and good layout
Our only complaint with Wanderlust is the location, more specifically that we were misled. Prior to receiving check in info, every vacation home search engine locates this home near the HR Memorial Hospital, in a walkable location. Even just now I checked
and the pin was dropped right over El Nino Sano, a food distro site.
Once we checked in, the map showed the actual location, which is west of the Safeway, solidly in a neighborhood and not walkable to anything. We've been to HR many times and having something walking distance to coffee, food ... was important to us and one of the reasons we chose this over another home. Feels like a catfish, esp since it's clearly still happening. Would have given a 5 star if it weren't for that.
Having said that, the home itself was great. The kitchen is well stocked, the layout worked very well. The bedrooms afforded peace and privacy when you wanted it, and there was room to be together for meals and to hang out when you wanted that. The decor is very eclectic and probably not for everyone, but there were many interesting items. Access to a washer/dryer was key after a very wet snow day at Meadows.
