ビーガンでデトックス
のんびりできるように、いろいろ工夫されている。 本が置いてあったり、居室も落ち着いて過ごすことが出来た。ビーガン料理はヘルシーで良かった。
風が強くて、一晩中風切り音がしていた。

Beautiful healthy, healing hotel retreat with exceptional food.
I loved the friendliness of the staff, and the relaxing, natural and healing ambiance of the hotel, decor, background music and facilities. The food was exceptional, and the dining hall like a temple. I was very happy here, with the consideration for harmony with nature. I loved the traditional style of the room I stayed in, with the modern facilities, and the kimono. The room had it's own private toilet and basin. The shower was in the basement with the hot spring. A local Zen temple, Shinto shrine, are within walking distance and the river park is also nearby and worth a visit. The art gallery was closed but looked interesting. I would stay here again if I come back to Japan.
I would definitely have stayed longer if the dates had been available :-)

Best ryokan in Japan!
In 20 years living in Japan, this is best the ryokan I have ever visited! It has everything, huge room, private bath, meditation spaces, library and the best food of any hotel in Japan. The location is convenient for the station and bus stop nearby takes you to all the local sites.

Very good
- the Ryokan is beautiful and quite close to the station - the staff was very friendly - our room was extremely spacious, clean and with a beautiful view - we had a bathroom with a wooden tub - rooms are well equipped with everything you need (even a fridge, but you are not allowed to bring in food) - the provided vegan Japanese food has been the best I have ever eaten (seasonings!) - the food was so beautifully presented
- we had to lay out our own Futons and did it wrong because there was no explanation - the pillow was not comfortable (it's normal to have a pillow filled with beans or rice at ryokans but I wish we could have chosen another one) - no Onsen water in the tub - Breaktfast and Dinner are served at fixed times so you can't choose
