Felt like home. We traveled every day and came home to have dinner each night, We went well over 3,000 miles on our trip.

The property was beautiful, had everything we needed and was a wonderful retreat for us. Location is 30 minutes from ocean and other places we wanted to visit. Best Vrbo experience we have had. Cannot recommend this highly enough.

We enjoyed a long weekend getaway in this lovely cottage. the setting is lovely, quiet, has a well stocked kitchen for cooking in and is also near to local restaurants and places of interest. This is our second stay at the cottage and we will definitely rent it again. The hosts are prompt answering any questions that arise. Truly a gem.

What a relaxing vacation. Wonderful camp with great views of Swan Pond. The camp itself was so charming, well stocked and very comfortable. Spent most of our time on the deck, the waterfront and kayaking and fishing the pond. Had our grandkids for a couple days, they had a blast. The owners, Kevin and Kellie, are so welcoming and respectful. Would definitely recommend

My husband and I rented this lovely cottage for a week getaway and it was absolutely lovely, quiet and offered great fishing. The cottage is well stocked, very clean and is conveniently located to various areas of interest. Our hosts were very gracious and communication was prompt. We are looking forward to renting it again in September.

Nice!
This was a really relaxing place to stay. The amenities are just as described, and the owners left welcoming, friendly notes in the cottage. I saw some reviews talking about a lack of Wi-Fi, but they’ve since set that up, and it works just fine to stream movies etc. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to sit by the water or do some kayaking without worrying about a lot of speed boats, this is a good choice.

Beautiful location on a quiet lake
My family and I stayed at Kevin's cottage for a week and loved it. The location was perfect. The huge deck overlooking the lake is the perfect place to spend the day. Kevin was very responsive to our questions. We loved the kayaks and the other lawn games available in the shed (cornhole, badminton, balls, etc). I will say that the kayaks and lawn are shared with the upper cottage, which was not clear to me from the description. It all worked out, though, as the other occupants were a nice older couple, they were kind and considerate. All in all, a lovely place, and I hope will will go back again.

Clean, quiet cabin that met all of our needs
We just came home from a wonderful stay on Swan pond at this property. It was everything we could have wanted and more.
We have been coming to the lake for years and staying at our family’s place, so we knew what to expect (an amazing, crystal clear pond with no public access, minimal boat traffic during the week and great fishing). We needed a little more space this year so decided to rent this cabin. The listing and pictures were accurate, the property was well-maintained and the cabin was quiet and comfortable. We have three young kids and they really enjoyed the shed of yard games, kayaks, fire pit and swimming in the near zero-entry lakefront.
Regarding the review below about the in-laws— Ann and Bob were the icing on the cake for us. We actually are generally very private people and I can say we never felt intruded upon or strange about the house set up. They were a delight, huge help to us with small questions and seriously the nicest people.
We had a great stay and hope to stay again!

A piece of Paradise!
We had such a great stay at this small piece of paradise!
Everything was perfect! Bob and Ann were delightful and made our holiday even better than anticipated.
The "camp" had a full complete kitchen, plenty of bedding, outdoor chairs, BBQ! We appreciated the peaceful location, the tranquility and the beauty of nature! Thank you for sharing this paradise with our family!

Lovely and just what we were looking for!
This was perfect for our family! The house was clean and had everything that we needed - lots of gadgets and tools in the kitchen, which was great for cooking. The neighbors (in laws) were so kind and helpful, but did not feel intrusive at all. The in laws’ house is behind the rental property, so I did not experience the 'fishbowl' feeling referenced in another review, since windows don't face that house. The couches were pretty soft, so we had to pull in the more sturdy chairs from the deck for my mom and grandmother when they visited. There was a card table that we used to do a puzzle, and there were many board games available that we took advantage of as well. The deck was great, and there was a big lawn and many lawn toys in the well-organized shed, and the kids had fun running around. We took out the kayaks and the kids swam in the pond. The property was neat and we had lots of firewood available for roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Homeowners were kind, thoughtful and responsive in their communications. The view from the house and the deck was amazing! We would definitely stay here again.

Lyman lake rental
Our first trip to Maine and my Husband always wants to stay outside tourist areas about an hour, and this rental was about 30 minutes to Coastline..while Maine was beautiful, there is nothing in Lyman at all. The rental was decent but wish we would have rethunk the owners residence situation right across driveway. They were VERY kind and helpful with anything we needed but this place did not feel private to me even being tucked in the woods. They gave us WIFI password but it was a not available unless you stood by the door which was closest to the owners home. There are no curtains in kitchen, living room or one of the rooms where a futon was which is what my Son likes to sleep on...so at night while watching tv in my jammies it was like a fish bowl..it was uncomfortable lounging on wood structure futon like living room furniture(never understand why rentals have such uncomfortable furniture OR outdoor furniture inside for lounging). The lake was nice to wake up to and owners had 2 Kayaks to use, nice ones. We left the Kayaks on shore and planned to get them up to shed later but that eve. the owners were pulling them up to shed stating it was going to rain. Again, the owners were very kind and helpful..I just felt watched or monitored while trying to relax on vaca. I'm sure that was not their intent ...SO if you like total privacy then I would not recommend a property where owners are right behind your rental.
We felt the rental was clean and I felt ok walking barefoot on floors which is something I'm particular about..I feel it should be updated but thats just me. I needed QTips as I didnt have any packed and I found some in a dusty little basket hanging on bathroom wall along with cotton balls in another dusty basket. The bathroom wasn't dirty though just needs updating and get rid of those baskets lol. The shower is a small stall and very small , my husband and teenager had no room in there but got the job done. We ended up leaving on Thursday instead of Saturday ..we needed some more action so we went to Boston for the remaining 2 days of our vaca.

We love this place
This was our second time staying at this house, and we just love it. It's remote enough to be secluded, quiet and relaxing, but close enough to all the hiking, biking and beach we wanted. Some afternoons we just relaxed and played in the yard with our kids. Also it's very clean and organized - made cooking our own meals very easy. Truly a gem on HomeAway. Thanks again for sharing your house with us!

Zen Pond retreat
From the moment you step into the front door you want to pinch yourself when you look through the front room windows to Swan Pond, which was in full color and reflections...breathtaking vistas! The cabin was clean and welcoming in the Zen Blue and cabin cozy furnishings. bed comfy and quiet nights for sleeping. Wonderful place and 3 miles up the road at Waterboro is the Cozy Corner for breakfast or lunch. A sneak preview of Heaven! Will definitely plan on coming back.Easy in and Easy out. Wonderful gas stove for heat. Thanks for sharing! Joplin Mo

Best place we've ever stayed!
I cannot say enough good things about this property and location. Tucked down a quiet dirt road, remote enough to be a peaceful escape, but still just a short drive to the beach, bike paths, Portland, etc. The house was immaculately clean - and with a newly-crawling infant, this was a huge relief! So many little touches to make our stay easier: Kitchen was stocked with just the right supplies, beds were clean and so comfortable. And the location - just stunning. A view of the pond from the entire back of the house (even from the master bed!). A huge clean yard for my kids to play in, a shed full of lawn & pond stuff to use. We absolutely loved our time here. By far the best house we've ever found on HomeAway. Don't hesitate - book this beautiful vacation home, I promise you won't be disappointed. We will absolutely be back. Thanks so much.
