The best stay

Karsten & Britta were the most helpful in all aspects including information on getting around the island as well as visiting other spots. They went out of their way to make sure I had a great time. The breakfasts were spectacular. I was able to rent a bike from them to visit Playa Bluff, and they also gave recommendations on taxi drivers and prices on the island. The B&B is a 10min taxi ride from bocas town and you can swim at a spot on the beach right across the road from the B&B. I had a really enjoyble stay and felt like the space was my home. I would 100% recommend for everyone.

Exceptional

Carsten and Britta are very friendly and helpful. They offer several choices for breakfast: everything is fresh and of excellent quality. The room had a small deck outside where you can sit and watch the hummingbirds and listen for howler monkeys. The place is in a quiet location, about 10 minutes by bus or taxi ($2 to $3) from the centre of town and about five minutes walk to a nice swimming beach. Buses and taxis often pass the end of the street, so it's very easy to get into town or out to Bluff Point. They offer bicycles for hire at a good price and even have. well-stocked bar! We've travelled widely and I can only think of one other B and B to match it. Highly recommended.👍

Pleasant

A lovely German couple run this place and they are extremely helpful. You get use of a bike which is vital because accommodation is far from town.

I chose wrong, as a solo traveller,this place was too far out for me. It did have a swimable beach not far away but although taxis were cheap I didn't fancy going into town by myself. The property only has 2 rooms and I didn't see the other guest. Breakfast is served outside the room on a patio but there's not much garden to look at here.

it’s a great B&B, both hosts are very friendly and helpful. The layout in the room is not only elegant, but also very convenient for guests to put their belongings. big bathroom with 2 basins and strong and hot shower . beautiful garden and delicious breakfast.

On any return trip to Panama, we will definitely stay at Casa Oceana!!

Oh my gosh!!! Karsten and Britta are the BEST hosts! Our room and ensuite were perfect. We stayed 4 nights. Every morning we were served fresh coffee and great made to order breakfast! K and B had great ideas for excursions and restaurants! (they set us up with several which made it so seamless!) If Karsten or Britta recommend something, it's a good seal of approval!!!

Britta and Karsten are great host. They help with every need and also give excellent tips of places to visit, to eat, excursions.. And having bikes at our disposal is an useful extra. We had an amazing stay!

The care of service, above and beyond. The breakfasts were wonderful and served on time. Cleanliness top notch. Hosts did everything to make your stay comfortable and travel free. Accidentally left something on departure and they went the extra mile to find us and deliver our missing item. We will stay again with these wonderful folks.

Our staying in Oceana was wonderful, both Karsten and Britta are great hosts who go extra mile for the comfort of their guests. Casa Oceana is located in a very nice and quiet area, away from the noisy center of Isla Colon but close enough to it if you use the bikes that hosts are offering for free to their guests. There are beautiful small beaches nearby or places to eat out if you want, the back of the yard is like a small jungle forest with a lot of birds and monkeys that contributes to a total relaxing and stress free environment. The breakfast is delicious and fresh prepared very carefully by the hosts. Our room was spacious, extremely clean, with a big bathroom and a very nice terrace ..the pictures presented here on booking are not reflecting the reality in casa Oceana, the place, the rooms, the yard are much more beautiful in real. So, if you have the chance to visit isla Colo, definitely try Casa Oceana!

Perfect hideout

We did like absolutely everything. The House, our room we stayed in+ the gorgeous Bathroom. The lovely couple that were our hosts put everything in it, nothing spared or comes too short.

Excellent, also owners hosted us a nice German Schnitzel meal which was fabulous.

Excellent breakfast with many choices served on our terrace. Try the German Pancakes which were a real treat, served at your time of leisure. Karsten and Britta were excellent hosts, best ever.

Very pleasant & quiet stay in a tropical setting. Enjoyed the birds and the tropical setting.

The very good service received from Britta und Kartes as Owners!. Even! They gave me a free bicycle to move myself around the Island! included a towel for the Beach!... and their house and garden.... a really paradise 😍.

The best part of our trip

Karsten and Britta were the most amazing hosts. Every single detail was so thoughtfully done and carefully executed to give guests the most incredible stay. You can tell that they’ve put so much thought into making everything perfect for you from the exceptional cleanliness of the room, to the delicious breakfasts on the terrace in the morning. Britta and her German pancakes are out of this world. The property was secured by locked gates and only a short taxi ride from the town. Karsten was so gracious as to even prepare the bikes for us to use during the nighttime, free of charge. It is also only a quick bike ride to a couple great restaurants, though you may just want to opt in for the best dinner at the B&B itself- we stayed in on our last night and had such an amazing time with them and wonderful meal. It was truly the most amazing B&B we’ve ever had the chance to stay at and we cannot wait to return. If you get a chance to visit Bocas, this is the place to be. You won’t regret it. Paradise at Casa Oceana

Karsten was absolutely the best host. He has totally renovated the B & B since they bought the place 9 months ago. Everything is spotless and in top shape. The room we were In was cozy and the A/C cooled the room in 5 minutes. Bathroom and shower were spacious very clean. Breakfast was on the upstairs patio and was filling, tasty and included in the rental. Bicycles were also included and we used them to ride to a pizza place he recommended and it was the best pizza we have had in Panama. The beach is just across the street and Bocas town about 4 kilometers away. Great location if you don't want the noise of people partying till 4 am in Bocas town. Can't say enough good things about Karstan and he even consented to join us for pizza. Muchas Gracias mi amigo. I am not a fan of the heat anymore but for a day or two at the beach. We now live in Boquete up in the cloud forest. I would return to Casa Oceana in a heart beat.

Clean and comfortable bed and breakfast with amazing food and excellent hosts!

Awesome bed and breakfast on Isla colon close to Bocas town and almost across the street from the beach! Clean and comfortable accommodations, amazing breakfast (even vegetarian options) and bicycles for use to ride to town or the beach! Great tour options recommended; we did the Zapatilla tour with Kawi Voyage and really enjoyed the day seeing dolphins, sloths, starfish, the coral garden and the Cayo. The balcony is beautiful surrounded by the lush vegetation in the morning for breakfast and the evening for drinks! Thanks Will for a great stay!

A comfortable and clean jungle retreat with great food and cool people!

Location is great, far enough out of town that we didn't have to worry about the noise. Will and Anne were incredibly attentive, helpful and friendly. We loved spending time with them and learning from their experiences on the island. Breakfast was INCREDIBLE every day. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Thank you guys!

The only thing I could say that I'd want would be an ocean view... BUT, the place we stayed before this was over the water and we thought that would be awesome. It wasn't. It was noisy. I'd choose this conveniently located jungle retreat any time!

Exceptional

Annie and Wil go above and beyond to make sure their guests have all they need to enjoy the island. We loved being able to use their comfy bikes to explore on our own; they called taxis for us as needed. We especially enjoyed the use of the deck at the canopy level to enjoy the surrounding nature and including their resident Red-lored parrot. The breakfasts were gourmet and superbly served. The rooms were ample, spotless and nicely appointed. We had access to a fabulous kitchen for cooking, but there were so many options that we didn't make use of it. We were within minutes of the Botanical Gardens at Finca los monos. We so enjoyed their company, too.
